I was wondering how the whole quick attach was going to work since the connection points were one with the bucket. It all started making sense as you started mocking it up. One thing is for sure, if you ever have to replace the bucket, a lot of fabrication would have to occur to make it work with the quick attach setup. Another great video with the classic Captain Kleeman humor and ingenuity!

Hi Mike. Functionality is what it is about. Beauty is only in the eye of the beholder. As long as it works, and you do not have to revisit the spot again, it's just fine. All the Chinese Quick attach brackets have issues with how the Pins hold the attachment to the machine. Usually when back dragging the attachment comes off. The problem is due to the pins angle points as well as spacing at the lower pin placement. Many folks complain about it, myself included. Great job so far Mike.

The 555 is looking pretty nice! Having the quick change mount on the front opens up a bunch of possibilities. If there are remote hydraulic couplings on the front (or could be added), maybe you could run that big log splitter on your backhoe, instead of having to rent a skid steer.

Got a couple tricks for you. When starting your cuts with a torch once you’ve achieved your pre-heat back off the material and press your oxygen lever then start back in your material. This will clean up the starts of your cuts and prevent popping. Also when your laying something out that has paint you can preserve your marks by center punching them. After you’re done grinding the paint or rust you just need to scribe a line across your punch marks and your done. No second layout. Keep on keeping on brother!
