Wow.. that looks like miserable work conditions... Ever think about dragging a few wood pallets to stand on next time the job sight gets flooded out like that? At least then you would not have to stand in water while work.

just remember that electricity wants to go back where it came from, either through you or around you. you need to be insulated from it.
@BeamerTheFox3 жыл бұрын
standing on some pallets on that kinda floor or wet dirt helps to.

My challenge is really hot and humid environment , sweat pouring into my gloves so I wear heavy duty Nitrile gloves under my welding gloves, works really well for me

Hey Jacob How’s the old SA 200 running for you? I wish I could hear it working. Those old Continentals are sooo sweet when they jump off idle and go to work. I have a 1966 Redface I found in a farmer’s barn several years ago, got her all spiffed up. I don’t really need it but love to go out and run beads just for relaxation. I call it SA therapy. Have a wonderful day

Jacob Schofield oh yeah, give her a shot a see if it don’t help. I can say it definitely does with tig, proved that to my supervisor at the Kraft/Heinz plant were workin in yesterday haha

On top of that, get a couple of cans of Scotchguard and spray down the outside of the gloves, if they're cloth based. If they're leather, then get some saddle soap and rub a bunch of that on the outside. The Scotchguard and saddle soap are for waterproofing the outside of cloth furniture and the saddle soap is for......well, water proofing leather goods. That saddle soap is also great for your leather work boots.

Mat I know you're pain💥💥💥💥💥

This is why you have a helper he puts the rod in the stinger. Then he gets back in the truck. Oh and don't touch the pipe before the rod does.

There jobs out where you hold bare handed a plate that gets water welded. And you hold it during the process.

The best way when it is wet and not get shock. I keep a box of doctor glove in my truck and wear them underneath your leather glove you will never get shock. 😉

I have a lot of respect for the welding that you do, and conditions that you all weld under!! I have welded quite a bit over the last 40 years ... but nothing I do has the difficulty factor that you all face every day!! Thanks for the Video!!

Jacob. I know all about that also when I worked offshore in the gulf Mexico. Always worked on plus 10 bottom of the platform. And I used to stick holder with a rob crack UO the machine. And shock the ahit out of the fish. Anyway thought I'd share that. Yall stay blessed. Have a good one.

I used to work on a drilling rig . One of the mud pits needed some welding repair . A welder and his helper was in the pit working they were in ankle deep water the welder accidentally touched his helper on his face. Well after he got out of the hospital the doctor told him he has a burn track inside his body for head to toe.

What kind of boots do you prefer Schofield?
@3376mgjr6 жыл бұрын
No need to get shocked,Lenco makes a whip with a switch for about $70 bucks,I owned two of them when i ran to drilling rigs because any rig runner knows rain don’t stop that bit from turning to the right!!! Good investment for running a truck for companies that don’t see rain as a reason to stop working lol
