I bet I have the room in our haybarn but just don't have the lift I can only stack 4 bales high and the 4 th bale is eased up there barely but I lift heavy items so I just don't know how it would measure to that my Kubota track machine is always loaded heavy on hills and uneven ground it gets off balance from time to time if you know what your doing you can just keep going and ease it back down without ever checking up

Went to my local JCB Dealer today to arrange a demo of the Teleskid because of your videos of the machine. The room in the cab and cad access is second to none. My brother who is quite large (6'8" 350lbs) can actually get in and out of the cab, which he cannot fit in any other Skidsteer he tried.

As an employee of JCB in the UK it’s great to hear such positive feedback about Teleskid. I’ve only recently discovered your channel after being a fan of How Farms Work for a while and set Ryan up with the demo Teleskid machine and I’m now loving your videos too. Especially the really big machines your run. Such a contrast to UK farming.

Gerrit Stok Hi Gerrit. I have heard it mentioned a few times and it’s been fed back to the product teams for investigation. The other improvement would be to add a grill to the right side window to allow easier communication with anyone working alongside the machine. Obviously can’t be a window to avoid getting arms trapped by the boom.

That left armrest has two positions for the little gas strut. Yours is in the shorter one. If you change it, the arm will swing up until the joystick his the back window. 4 Phillips screws and a 13mm open-end wrench will do it.

When I was shopping for a skid loader, I was focused on Bobcat, back in my day. I tried the 743, but it really felt lacking and I didn't like that it was all it could do to load a 15 yd. dump truck. I then tried the 7753 and it was night and day for me. High lift arms made side-loading the large trucks a lot easier and it had a wider stance. I had a 72" bucket with removable tooth bar, forks and a landscaper attachment. That there was an amazing implement! This was back in the early 90s and I bought the 7753, used, with 1400 hours on it and immediately put new tires on it and then had them solid rubber filled. At $100 per tire, that was a major money saver when working around thorny trees or demolition duty on jobsites. I would get my job done and come away from the site with my tires looking like a porcupine - but obviously NO flats! It's no fun having a flat and paying for a service truck and the down time. Rubber-filled was definitely the way to go for me.

I've ran a Deere, Bobcat and a tracked Cat, and the Deere is noticeably louder than the Bobcats. The Bobcat A300 I ran was two seed, but it could switch steering modes. It could skid steer or four wheel steer which kept you from tearing up lawns or scuffing up fancy concrete sidewalks. Of the three the Bobcat was so much nicer and while the Cat was solid, it was a single speed and slower than any of the others even if they were in slow speed. The thing that makes them so pricey is they can replace a dozen or more dedicated machines for small jobs. They pretty much make an attachment to do nearly anything. The company building our new shop used a big tracked Bobcat with a road grader attachment and graded the gravel inside the building's foundation after the steel supports and roof had gone up. That zero turn radius just makes them so much better in confined spaces.

Before you buy something, you owe it to yourself to demo a tracked machine..... I love tracks. Now, I'm not saying tracks are for you, but I'd definitely check it out, before I dropped that kinda cash.... Great video though. Very fair analysis... Great reminder for everyone, too, in all situations... If you are on foot, in an area where machines are running around, keep your head on a swivel, and stay alert.... Expect the unexpected. The operator, is going to be thinking real hard about their load, and where they are going... It's just human nature... Sure, they are supposed to be watching, but hey... Don't be wandering that area on foot looking at your phone... Pay attention....

The only problem with the JCB (and i know this for a fact, having seen ours nearly tip over a few weeks ago) is that despite their best efforts (there's some really clever engineering in that unit) it's skewed towards the arm side, in terms of weight or better said, balance. Makes our operator a bit nervous "walking" edges or moving stuff on inclined terrain. We're prolly going to add a few weights on the other side.

They should pivot the left joystick console with the door. You would have way more room to get in,and less parts to move to go in and out. It's drive by wire,so it's relatively easy to do.

Would love to have a skid steer, but we just don't have enough use for one. We have a 5085E with pallet forks we use to pick up pallets. Every couple weeks we bring in a ton of cattle feed and have no problem picking it up. It is a two person job though, because the visibility is not very good on the loader. The only piece of construction equipment on our farm is a John Deere 17G excavator. We use it for digging trenches, ditches, leveling ground, putting in culverts. Man it is a great machine.

I have an old JCB 535 farm special telehandler, not as compact as the new tele skid steer, doesn't turn on a button, but shortest wheelbase on a full size telehandler available, pick up hitch and auxiliaries. No where near as fancy as the new fly by wire machines, but your comment regarding the old skid steer having direct link between handle and hydraulic valve resonates. You do get better "feel" of how the hydraulics behave. Great channel, informative and factual, no fluffy stuff 👍

2019 JCB has my vote, with regards to visibility out the right hand side, in reality you should not be driving around with the forks/bucket up in the air it needs to be like an inch or two off the ground then the boom won't be blocking the right hand side vision. At the start it seemed to me your lip movement to your words seems off? This video came up while I was playing Welker Farms map on FS19 :)

Definitely worth it is you have a landscape business, or construction, etc they work well in those environments where the bigger units cant reach and they earn their keep for sure. Im sure you'll come across a good deal for one down the road in a few years. thanks for the review of the unit, you all have been putting it to work on the farm and im sure the dealer and JCB are glad you did. I used to own a JCB backhoe, it was an excellent machine. When I bought a skiddy, it came down to local dealer support which was Deere or Bobcat, with Case a little further. Lots of used JD's and Bobcats in the area. When I found out the oil could only be checked by leaving the boom up on the 324 I was looking at...I thought...who ever checks the oil on these things? Its hard, dangerous, and takes a lot of time? I've learned with maintenance, humans share the trait of not doing hard things that they don't "have to" right now....so I wonder how often the oil gets changed on the average deere skid steer, especially if its ran by "the help" instead of the owner? So, I opted for a Bobcat S220. I've put over 500 hrs on it in the last 6 years and absolutely could not be happier. I do like the side entry on the JCB, but other than that, I've found excellent support out of my local dealer with FANTASTIC PRICES on parts. Frankly, I expected the parts to be INSANELY EXPENSIVE like Deere...nope. Very reasonable. The only problems I've got at almost 2600hrs are the blower in the cab quit a few months back and I've got a bad seal on the left bucket cylinder, and various tire problems (not the machines fault). Thanks to the great local dealer I'll most likely trade for a newer bobcat when I get closer to retirement. This year alone the bobcat dug a bunch more post holes around the homestead/warehouse, 12-24 & 36" holes. A bunch of support work on a new septic system on one of our rentals (3rd year in a row for a new spetic system backfilling and grading), it placed a couple hundred more tons of driveway stone and did the heavy lifting and digging for a new 21' bridge we built back in the woods and moves customer goods from semi's to warehouse and then out to delivery. Love this machine....don't know how I could do without it at this point.

Great video, Nick. We have been with Bobcat for 35 years, and love them. I have run a few different New Hollands as well over the years. The Teleskid is an awesome machine for sure, but way out of reach for us as well. All of our machines are older models, and like your JD, I do like the feel of mechanical controls. The reliability that a mechanical machine comes with too is a real perk in my opinion. I know that the old machines are not maybe as safe as the newer ones, but the best piece of safety equipment on the farm is the piece that is between your ears. Cheers - God Bless!!

Another one worth looking at all though not a skid steer is the jcb teletruck tlt range. The TLT30D 4x4 is a compact little unit. Although more industrial biased rather than construction/agricultural its surprising how far the little bugger goes off road.

A great review, and your decision well founded. I have owned Bobcat and a DEERE skidsteer and both served us very well. My only experience with JCB is an early 70's backhoe. We found the JCB to be terrible for getting parts for and it was some kind of metric that was odd for any fit. Our CASE 580 a much better hoe. But having a local JCB dealer would make a JCB a good choice. BUT, all too expensive, the old DEERE still does the job. Oh, we mounted backup and side cameras in our DEERE for safety, we were a school district and wanted to see everything around us. Surprised the JCB didn't have cameras from the factory.

Fly by wire is just something you have to get used too. We have a 310J and we sold an old 555D and got a 14CX super and it had fly by wire and the problem is you can’t feel the hydros so sometimes in situations it’s hard to tell what’s going on and it’s really sensitive in a bad way and it can get out of control pretty quick. But the joystick control is pretty comfortable and nifty. That teleskid is a super cool machine

Ive ran a 96 Bobcat s170, and a newer S170 by Bobcat, i gotta say, the newer one was very nice, having AC is a plus in the summertime, and a heater in the winter. Granted i have very little time on both machines. I still understand the key essence of the hydraulics, having either purely hydraulic valves, vs fly-by-wire systems. The newerS170 i ran only had .3 hours on the clock when we borrowed it from my dads work. We put just over 6 hours of use into it working at our house, adjusting our new shed and some other small things. It was sensitive on controls, it had the finesse needed for grading, float option, yet had the gentle response of a pure hydraulic valve system like your JD does. Yes it did have a front entry, but ive already accepted the risk in operating equipment. No matter what machine you run, there will always be at least a 1% risk of something happening. Nothing is completely safe, but damn did JCB do fine job minimizing it via that side entry. Maybe i can run one someday :).

We are currently running a 2018 Bobcat S650 with foot controls. We absolutely love this machine except one thing, the door to get in and out. You either have to have the bucket all the way down or at least above the cab to be able to open the door.
