Thanks for the comments. This boat really was sweet. As far as I know, the gauge set up was original, so your boat must be from a different year. This boat was a 1989 and the video was made for a customer, who bought the boat for exports.Everything was super low hour original except for the motors, which were low hour upgraded 496 H.O.'s.

We exported the boat to Northern Europe. Too many boats to remember for sure, but I think we got this from Maryland.

That boat spent it's entire life in that building in Northeast Md,Anchor Marine where it was originally sold and kept.I believe it sold for 25grand a steel with new 496 hos and new bravo drives.Never left in water,wife forbid me from buying it.

2 x stock 496 HO's with 425 hp each. The boat had a built in silencer system using the swim platform.

Where is this boat located? I have an almost identical (1989, same colors, gauges) sans the 496's.

Sweet vid. I'm building some 500+hp 454 so this gave me a reference as to what speed I should see in my Scarab III. How did you do your gauges? Mine are currently the stock vdo gauges that aren't flush underneath like yours.

Yeah, I knew the owner of this boat and had been on it a lot when I was a kid. So he did finally sell it... it was a fun boat to be on. Amazingly, when I was young I tubed off this thing :D Hearing them amazed everything worked is amusing since he took care of that boat and worked on it a bunch. The awning you see there was an addon so we could sit and float and not get burned to a crisp but still be outside. However, I do remember when we had to drop in the engine compartment that was NOT fun to be in. I cannot believe I found this on youtube while looking for something similar!

Was this boat for sale? Any idea what it sold for?
@NordicYachtWorks3 жыл бұрын
Yes, it was for sale and we exported it long time ago. I don't remember the price, too many years and boats ago, sorry.
