Sometimes to appreciate something. You have to leave it behind and go and explore the world to really realise it is more than what it is. I haven't been back in Wellington in almost 12 years. I've travelled around the world done some crazy things. But just looking at this it brings so many feelings that i haven't felt in years. Wellington you truly are a beautiful place. I realise how humble, loving and giving our people really are. The vibes that it can produce there is so laxed and chilled. I headed home for good in 2016 but I think I left my heart in Wellington. I love to revisit the coolest little capital in the future.

Wow my hometown. I haven't been back home since 2011 I still remember walking around manners mall when I was a kid. I remember lunar park and the old timezone and there was a maccas and KFC across from there. That was before we had the road going right through it. And I see that old burger king is not there anymore right after the lights on your right. Oh the memories

You need to be walking along Lambton Quay, the north end of Willis Street, Manners Street and Courtenay Place to see the 1840 Shoreline plaques. Dixon Street merges into Courtenay Place so you might have spotted one right at the start of the video.

Thanks, your videos on Wellington & Auckland have really given me a flavour of New Zealand. I’d love to see Napier for the Art Deco buildings. I like that most of the city centre buildings have portico awnings over the pavement in both cities. Both cities look pleasant & attractive. They both seem very quite to me a European, the low population density really seems to make a difference there. The pace seems more relaxed which has a certain appeal. I’d like to see videos on Hobart, Tasmania & Melbourne if you ever get around to the flight over? I saw Christchurch on another channel & it seemed very dull, I’m looking for a pre-earthquake video to see if was more vibrant before.
