Where did you buy such a nice $200 cello? The one i had literally couldnt play. Even with a nicer bow. Resin and everything. It was from Amazon for $170. I know i shouldn't have but. I dont have any money. It took me almost a year to get that...😅

Absolutely. The tone on the second is much richer and somewhat brighter, and in all less tinny.

The first one sounds more electric and metallic. The second one sounds more richer and calming, i play a 4/4 cello at school and i think we can all tell which one is the cheapest. But hopefully i can learn the cello and play just like you!

there’s certain depth to the sound and tone of the second one, also with the better varnish, so the 2nd one is more expensive

the first one is the cheaper one. it has an okay sound but it doesn’t ring as well and the strings are very catchy. the second has an amazing ring and the strings a bit less sticky. :) i love your videos ❤

I love these comparisons you do. It is a vary small group of people that really have the resources to do this content. And thank you for it. So what about a top-tier player on a $200 dollar cello vs. someone who can play on a $200,000 dollar cello? I can hear the roundness in the attack and the depth of the tone of the notes. But as you start to close the gap of the quality of instrument. Where does the skill of the player become the focus of the instrument? Isn't that the point of a quality of a instrument? The ability to purge the relationship of life and emotion? As well as the luthier that has the skill to build this vessel.I could write a book on this. lol But got into a few drinks tonight. So I'm hitting the cement section hard on posts. Hope you don't mind and love the content. From someone who can't play the cello.

I like the 2nd one better because it sounds smoother. The first one sounded like the strings were made out of steel. As a musician myself, I can notice the difference, and I know you can too. Anyways! Love your content.

I think it’s easy to see 👀 which is the more expensive based on the finish. But as for the sound it’s hard for these old ears to hear. What do you think about 2Cellos? Have you watched any of their performances?

You can tell which is which just by looking at them. The cheap plywood cello is missing the beautiful wood grain of the expensive cello.

You could clearly the tremolo with vibrato on the second cello. And it had a warmer sound. My guess is the $200,000 cello is the second one. Also there was a lot of crunch between the d and a string on the 1st cello

I think the 1st - 200 USD Cello, the 2nd - 200,000 USD. The first one was beautiful but I missed some bass-like sounds, but the 2nd one sounds like a Cello who knows how to sound like a professional. 🎵💙
