This week we take a close look at the Wera Impaktor 30 impact bit set. The version I have is an older version of the product.

I really like seeing the performance/wear on them as well. I’ve been an appliance tech for 25 years my tools and the money I pay for them are important to me, I’ve bought several tools based on your reviews. Please don’t stop taking that out of your reviews. Thank you for your thoroughness

Nice video! As I know, the 'Impact Proof' depends on the system, means Bit AND Holder. I think, that's the reason why the other bit sets only have the sign for bi-torsion on it. I have the same set and I'm very satisfied with it.

I wonder if spraying a little silicone spray inside the groove where the bit holder goes would maybe make it easier to slide in and out.

I've got this set, a newer version which came with a Wera Tool Rebels sticker in it, and some velcro for the Wera 2 Go system. The colour of the case is definitely the same as the catalog, and the Impactor Bit Holder is easier to pull out from the case. I bought this to fit into my AEG blow moulded case for the newest Fusion Hammer Drill, and Impact Driver set. Into which it fits perfectly.

Kamal Tailor I've got the regular set and holder, after using it in a dewalt impact gun for a while the holder has definitely worn out.

The diamond coating is more likely to be evident on the Phillips-head or pozi-drive bits as they are the ones prone to cam-out due to angle geometry. The hex-bit you tested is not liable to cam-out.

I have wera and pb swiss tools bits here. I was really disappointed by the wera quality, the pb swiss fit so much tighter into quality screws (fischer & spax). Also the normal pb swiss bits can be used on impact tools. It would be really nice to have a comparison video with wiha, wera and pb swiss for wear.

I think yellow bits are graded for manual impact driver. And black for powered impact driver.

A insulated felo bit holder screwdriver was given to me by a fellow friend of mines. Would these bits be considerably worth buying? Or more of a purpose to use on an impact driver?

It's difficult to determine which bits are the best to buy from Wera. They sell them on Amazon in price ranges from about $9 for 20, to $50 for 15! Hmmm, What justifies this? Are they crushing actual blood diamonds? If the ones for about $.50 a piece are the same as in my bitcheck, then I'm generally very satisfied with their performance, but am interested in any that further prevent cam-out. I thought they made laser etched bits for better grip as well but I'm not finding that.. Would be nice to see some Project Farm style testing with these German bits, especially the Wera variants.

My Wira Kompact ratchet drivers crumble under normal use, it's always the same one, I've tried sending one back and I eventually received a replacement unit, the wrong one but never the less. I found I was thrown the Well it must for your fault card right from the go. (25 years on the tools, qualified electrician) Run my own multi services business and am not impressed. They seem to spending so much on the 'Cool' adverts at the minute.................

I am a little reluctant to use a 1/4" drive stem for any impact work, perhaps a 3/8 or 1/2" drive shaft would be better....just my opinion.

Who would want to use an impact driver to INSERT a fastener? There's something wrong with the hole if you do. If like every impact driver I've ever used that is reversible, I'd consider a left hand thread is the reason.

Anyone driving long screws, lag bolts etc into timber. The friction and therefore torque required to drive them home increases with depth, and the rotary impact action is very useful in those sorts of application.

As for this particular bit holder - it's a bit (no pun intended) shitty. Other Wera's bit holders are great, but Impaktor is not robust enough. Bit socket wears out surprisingly fast.

Milwaukee is putting out a lifetime warranty on their impact bits 😳 They are carbide mixed. You snap a pic of the stripped/broken bit. Email it to them and they ship you a new one. So I will be using strictly Milwaukee bits. As long as they honor this warranty. Why would anyone use any other bit...?
@1I2am3Dani4

I doubt their warranty will cover normal wear, that´s how it usually works.
