This video is definitely one of the most personal things I’ve shared with you guys. But I hope that through this, you’ll be able to find a REAL conversation with your dad wherever you are. It’s Father’s Day this weekend so to all fathers out there, we love you! - Ming H.

"Because now I can tell their stories in the words that they taught me to use" That's the most touching line throughout the whole video. I was fine until the moment the whole family cheered on Suyen's pregnancy announcement. You can tell how close of a relationship this family has and that they're truly happy for the couple. Thank you guys for making me cry like a baby 😭😭😭😭😭

My dad is honestly imo not very expressive of his love. But I am so thankful that whenever he send me to my uni or somewhere far from home, he will kiss me and hug me. I really love the hug. And listening to how he was raised, maybe showing a fatherly love is a bit foreign to him. My late granddad too was not expressive and worked away from home. And my grandma is at home, menoreh and worked in the paddy fields while my dad helped her selling nasi lemak. Now that I think of it, I think I am so privileged to have such a strong dad. Maybe having only girls helped him to be more expressive on his love. In a world where people can't even trust their dads, I am so thankful that mine is among my first love.

First of all idk how it’s feel to have a father (I’m in a single family) btw this video make me memorize about my Grandmom, she raise me up since when I was boss until my father pass away when I was age in 5, unfortunately she was passed away on this year. I miss her so much ☹️ it was a touching video you did a great job Ming.

I guess what I would say to you is that you are lucky that you had a father in your life. No need for bitterness. I wish I had a strict father growing up. I wish I could pick up the phone and call him up and get his advice on things. We all need to do better at enjoying the time we have with our parents, we all do our best. As for being a new dad, you will figure it out along the way. You will make mistakes, but it's ok, as long as you learn from them and grow. God bless and good luck with the little one!

Been following your channel for years, but only now I found this video. Not everyone is lucky. My gf and I found out that she's pregnant, I was very happy to become a father. Unfortunately, my gf didnt think so , she broke up with me, did an abortion without my knowledge and disappeared in my life . I lost 2 most important people in my life in one night. Coincidentally , my gf name is Hailey too When I watched the part where you described the moment when your wife told you about the pregnancy, as well as you announced it to your family , I cried. I wished i can be as lucky as you. Thanks for showing me, the story of becoming a father , in the version that I wanted and I dreamed of but never happened to me. Thank you so much

Years ago dad's roles were just much different. They showed their love by putting food on the table and paying to send their kids to better schools. Not until the 70s in the U.S. did that start the change. Of course, some dads were always hands on dads but many dads were not comfortable showing their softer side. It just wasn't manly. It is good now that dads can be more part of their kids lives emotionally. There always has to be a balance between the dad's duties to guide their children but also allowing some openness that their kids can feel that if they mess up or things happen to them that they can come to their dad for help.

Excellent video. The best things that have ever happened to me were the births of my son and, 3 yrs later, my daughter. When my wife told me she was pregnant with our son, I felt the same way I think every parent felt. Do I know what to do or how to take care of a child??? Although I had nieces I would sometimes babysit, having your own is totally different because you can't give them back to their parents at the end of the day since you are the parents.
