I live in St. George and let's not forget to mention Town Square and the many splash pads located throughout the city parks. Along with our many, many miles of paved trails for biking, roller blading, scooters, or just walking. There's also the E-bike rentals, Spin electric scooter rentals, Tonaquint Nature Park, The RinQ for roller skating, and Pine Valley just further North of Veyo. The restaurant scene here has almost doubled in the past 2 years. There's so many wonderful places to eat in addition to what was mentioned. If it's been along time since you've been here, you'll be surprised to see the amount of change and growth.

I live in St. George, and a person would be hard-pressed to find a more centrally-located city for some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. I've been to all of the places mentioned in this video and most are very lovely. However, like much of the nation, St. George is a very expensive place to live and visit. The public transportation is primitive considering that this is one of the fastest growing cities in the U. S. The infrastructure of the area is underbuilt making it difficult to drive in certain seasons--especially in the winter when people from the northern part of state move to their second homes here. It's a rather narrow, religiously-oriented city, extremely conservative and much of the city still functions as if it's 1975. The national parks are becoming grossly over-visited so it's probably best to visit in the off-season. The liquor laws are some of the most strict in the nation and affect hotels, restaurants, and other entertainment venues.

@@thomaspayne5232 ‘religious people’ have made one of the most attractive, inviting and most beautiful cities in the USA. Maybe non ‘religious’ people should go dig a hole-or at least -stay out of ‘religious’ cities, states, so they are more ‘happy’.

@@dexterlewis7912 Cedar City although close, is like a world away. Much smaller, much slower pace, much cooler in summer and colder in winter with heavy snow pretty common. St George is the hub for shopping, medical and typical bigger city services.
@StudSupreme Жыл бұрын
I live here too and your criticisms are waaaaaaaay off base. It's actually shockingly cheap to live here, and statistically the St George area is very close to the national average. Public transportation is simply NOT NEEDED - it's insanely easy to get around town. Infrastructure is EXCELLENT - far better than any place back east or on the west coast. The idea that it's difficult to drive around here is ridiculous and bizarre. Then, in terms of its 'narrowness' and being 'religiously oriented' and stuck in 1975 - those are outright slanders. Honey, move back to California. That's where you belong.

@@WereintheRockies Absolutely! I wonder how much more dinosaur evidence there is between Utah, Nevada and California?

There are so many dinosaur tracks around St. George. By far, the best ones are at the Dinosaur Discovery Site! It's a small museum with an amazing collection of dinosaur footprints ❤

When you visit St. George. Just remember to go home. No seriously. :-)

Those skyrocketing real estate prices sure aren't bad, though, are they? A friend's St. George house has appreciated $33,000 a month for the last two years. So you don't like smart investment vehicles? Why don't you just ask all your local realtors to stop marketing and selling homes then? And the developers who are building them as fast as they can? Sounds like your problem is with your own. Might want to think about that. Then again, EVERYONE from low-population states say this. Oregonians say the same. Missoula, MT has exploded since Covid. Reno is growing like crazy. It's just so easy to think you're alone and no one is experiencing the same thing - nothing new under the sun.
