I live in St. George and let's not forget to mention Town Square and the many splash pads located throughout the city parks. Along with our many, many miles of paved trails for biking, roller blading, scooters, or just walking. There's also the E-bike rentals, Spin electric scooter rentals, Tonaquint Nature Park, The RinQ for roller skating, and Pine Valley just further North of Veyo. The restaurant scene here has almost doubled in the past 2 years. There's so many wonderful places to eat in addition to what was mentioned. If it's been along time since you've been here, you'll be surprised to see the amount of change and growth.

Don't be fooled, for the outdoorsy type it's paradise, for the out-on- the-town type, unless you're 5 or over 55, it's borringgg, especially factoring in the population of the metropolitan area. Vegas is nearby for that, they say...

We stayed in St George as a home base while visiting the national parks last week. Great spot, lots of food options and grocery/stores. I got so much out of your channel planning our vacation this year!! Thank you! Also, we rented Ebikes from Pedego and rode up into Snow Canyon State Park. It was a blast! Highly recommend! I live in St. George, and a person would be hard-pressed to find a more centrally-located city for some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. I've been to all of the places mentioned in this video and most are very lovely. However, like much of the nation, St. George is a very expensive place to live and visit. The public transportation is primitive considering that this is one of the fastest growing cities in the U. S. The infrastructure of the area is underbuilt making it difficult to drive in certain seasons--especially in the winter when people from the northern part of state move to their second homes here. It's a rather narrow, religiously-oriented city, extremely conservative and much of the city still functions as if it's 1975. The national parks are becoming grossly over-visited so it's probably best to visit in the off-season. The liquor laws are some of the most strict in the nation and affect hotels, restaurants, and other entertainment venues.

Religious people shouldn't be living in a beautiful environment like that they should be living in an environment which reflects religion more accurately ie. in a remote cave deep underground or the south pole.

@@thomaspayne5232 ‘religious people’ have made one of the most attractive, inviting and most beautiful cities in the USA. Maybe non ‘religious’ people should go dig a hole-or at least -stay out of ‘religious’ cities, states, so they are more ‘happy’.

@@dexterlewis7912 Cedar City although close, is like a world away. Much smaller, much slower pace, much cooler in summer and colder in winter with heavy snow pretty common. St George is the hub for shopping, medical and typical bigger city services.
@StudSupreme

I live here too and your criticisms are waaaaaaaay off base. It's actually shockingly cheap to live here, and statistically the St George area is very close to the national average. Public transportation is simply NOT NEEDED - it's insanely easy to get around town. Infrastructure is EXCELLENT - far better than any place back east or on the west coast. The idea that it's difficult to drive around here is ridiculous and bizarre. Then, in terms of its 'narrowness' and being 'religiously oriented' and stuck in 1975 - those are outright slanders. Honey, move back to California. That's where you belong.

I did a road trip with my dad in 2014 around California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona. We mostly visited the national parks. It so happens that I liked St. George the most out of all the cities we saw. Absolutely beautiful city with some of the friendliest people I'd ever met (kudos to the owner of the Chalet Motel who was extremely kind and helpful). Not in St George, though about once or twice a year mountain lions are spotted near or even in neighborhoods on the edges of the area. People's swimming pools look like very clean ponds to them where they can get a drink.

By any chance have y’all done a tour guide or related on Mesa Verde National Park. My wife and I our very interested in visiting this NP. We understand there are guided tours and such and would like to know the in and outs of the park.

Thanks for asking Sean. I haven't completed one yet, but it's on the agenda. I'm hoping next year. Mesa Verde is a wonderful place; one of the coolest national parks I've been to. Sorry, I just don't have one ready yet.

@@WereintheRockies You should. It’s right off of the 14 freeway. Very dramatic rock formations. It’s named after a fugitive who was hiding out there. I pass it but haven’t been to it! 😂 Tsk. Tsk.

Just being a tourist doesnt increase the perception of the town . Making people smile and entertaining them is important. Corruption is taking the beauty from this place. Listen to everything thats occuring then ask yourself if its got a future.

Pardon if you've mentioned this in one of your videos but I don't recall hearing it. Didn't know if you were familiar with the thriller/horror film THE CAR (1977) and that most of all of it was shot in these scenic Utah regions. Thought youd be interested. It's a decent Jaws-ripoff with a killer car hunting down people but it's got great scenery. Here's a video that shows some of the locations. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nnPPeYB4m62Sgsk per wikipedia page - Parts of the film were shot in St. George, Hurricane-LaVerkin Bridge, Zion, Kanab, Crazy Horse Canyon and Glen Canyon in Utah.

As a movie nerd, I love seeing these films set in iconic places. Also recently loved seeing Clint Eastwood's The Eiger Sanction, filmed in Zion, Monument Valley and Switzerland. Great footage.

Those skyrocketing real estate prices sure aren't bad, though, are they? A friend's St. George house has appreciated $33,000 a month for the last two years. So you don't like smart investment vehicles? Why don't you just ask all your local realtors to stop marketing and selling homes then? And the developers who are building them as fast as they can? Sounds like your problem is with your own. Might want to think about that. Then again, EVERYONE from low-population states say this. Oregonians say the same. Missoula, MT has exploded since Covid. Reno is growing like crazy. It's just so easy to think you're alone and no one is experiencing the same thing - nothing new under the sun.
