WOW! The Videos you guys make help inspire a few ideas a road trip of my own. I actually did the Colorado to Vegas road trip in august but with a little twist instead. I started in the Badlands of South Dakota but instead of ending in Vegas I ended in Grand Canyon.

Great video! We have done many of the suggestions on your video--most of the time we incorporated it into a really large summer road trip. This past summer, we started in Colorado (Rocky Mtn NP, Colorado Springs, Denver, Glenwood Springs area) then drove through Wyoming and Idaho (back side of the Tetons and Stanley, ID), and then drove through Montana on route to Canada. We did Fairmont Hot Springs, BC, Golden, and then Banff (Kootenai, Yoho, Glacier Canada, Banff NP)and Jasper before hitting the road back to SC. We were on the road for 6.5 weeks. :) It was a great trip! This summer, we are doing a an Alaskan cruise but also hitting Olympic NP and Mt Ranier for a day each (because that's all we have before we fly back).

Thank you for these informative videos, I've learned a ton by watching this channel. It's very apparent that you two are teachers from how your videos are so well-organized and fact filled! At the end of your Mighty 5 video, Matt made an offhand comment about considering starting the trip in Denver to include the scenic Routes 70 and 128 to Moab. We did just that and were so glad we added that spectacular scenery, it was unforgettable. Looking forward to more travels in 2025 and beyond using your tips, Happy New Year!

Loop The Fold drive at Capotal Reef is my favorite drive in Utah... Driving through Glen Canyon Recreation area is waaaaaay underrated. Love the channel !!

You forgot CALIFORNIA : Yosemite, Joshua Trees, Cabrillo, Mojave Preserve, Sequoia plus lots of State Parks like Anza-Borrego. Arizona has lots of parks too as well as New Mexico which hosts a lot of State Parks all over the state.

I’m heading to Big Bend in April for a photo workshop and taking a few days to visit White Sands, Carlsbad Caverns, and Guadalupe Mountains while I’m there. I used your Grand Canyon guide this year to take my niece on her first big trip out West. At 9, she loved all the things I planned with your guide. Thanks!

Really want to to Utah. We are thinking Rockies train. With your ebooks, we are trying to plan 7-10 days, on a shoulder season when it isn’t too cold. I have a lot to learn!

Grand Tetons needs a week. Many hiking trails. Grand Canyon do the hike. Rim to Rim to Rim. I've done it twice.

@WereintheRockies Ohh, for sure those little mountain towns are on the list too! The bit about them competing for tourists is so true, and some of that is a little over the top for me, it brings some amazing food and things to do to those towns. I mean, Breckenridge has better in town public transportation than some big cities. 😂
