I scanned the comments to see if anyone brought this up, but I didn't see anyone address it. You mentioned the "fake" cigarette burns in the corner of the film. Those are not fake cigarette burns, they are fake "cue dots". I learned this in film class in college. You don't see these anymore at the theater because the movies are digital. But when you had the old reel to reel films, the reels of film were only 20 minutes long. At the 20-minute mark, a Cue Dot would show up in the upper right-hand corner that told the projectionist that he/she had 5 seconds before the next reel would start. In 5 seconds, you would see another Cue Dot and boom the next reel would start and it looked pretty seamless. The projectionist did this manually! After you learn this, you can't unsee this and you always knew when the reels were changing. But the untrained eye never really saw them. Great video by the way. We are subscribed to your channel and watch regularly!!!

are we just not gonna talk about how the creature on the opposite wall from the depiction of a warewolf being slain ( 5:27 ) looks exactly identical to Gorr's race from the comics?

Its wierd to me that a channel that specifically explains and goes through easter eggs just kinda walked right on past this one lol

I don't think it's his race it just seems like a giant that looks like him but not coz these aren't aliens they are monsters
@Imlostsendhalp2 жыл бұрын
I mean how would you tell the difference? If an alien came down and started causing problems, and they didnt look exactly like us, we would think their a monster or something

Reminded me of the late, late, late show movies in the 1970s. Down to the "Special Presentation". So much fun and scary and campy at the same time. I hope we get more. In "Underworld" a Death Dealer is a vampire that kills werewolves (lichens).

Those weren't fake cigarette burns. They were markers used in cinema to indicate when the projectionist should change the reel.

Thank you!! I was looking for someone to comment on this.

WTF are you both lying? This thing was shot on digital not film so those were 100% fake ass cigarette burns.
@Heatherini2 жыл бұрын
@@YakBat Yes, obviously shot on digital and the "burns" were just added as part of the classic film aesthetic of WBN. My point, my gripe, and the part that I focused on in ChaliceOfPish's comment was that the narrator incorrectly explained what they would have represented, that is, time to change the reel.
@YakBat2 жыл бұрын
@@Heatherini What? At no time did did this soft ball review even say what they were for, just that they were included to show the love for older monster movies. All he was doing was pointing out the attention to detail. Then OP came in with his bullshit about them not being fake.
