Why does it say 2 handed grips when you are talking about a 1 hander?

At the time, Wes used his thumb in the grip. I don’t know today if he still does use his thumb or not. This video was shot in 2019.

Yes it is, as long as there is no weight hole in the ball or any unused holes.

I was watching a pro game and the commentators said if your bowling 2 handed your not allowed a thumb hole

I love how youtube videos seem oblivious to how bad most pro shops are. Maybe not bad, but lazy. I can only speak for my area of FL. You would think PAP is illegal or if they drill anything other then a normal straight hole they will be punished. I see all these pro shop videos online of what pro shops should be doing, but very few do any of it. I have even heard some people in these videos say show them video so they can learn.... I can only imagine the response I would I get doing that LOL.

I would love to see the Bowling Congress put in the rule that you have top bowl with all three holes in the ball. I can bowl either way but I just think 2 handed is ruining the game. Just my opinion.

james daniels There was a time when you were not supposed to use your ring finger to bowl and balls only had holes for the middle finger and thumb. It wasn’t until Ned Day “ruined” the sport by drilling a third hole to use his ring finger.

Let's get it straight, it is not 2 handed bowling..it is using the thumb or not, and that the other hand used to hold the ball in position before release, ( the other hand does not have a force in the delivery ). A 2 handed release is where kids learning/wanting to bowl will use 2 hands to push the ball on the lane because they do not have the strength and or gripping means to delivery the ball with one hand. It should be addressed as a "2 handed approach" where you use the thumb or not. You still have to make good shots, you still have to play the lanes according to the pattern, and the balls used are of the legal static weight measurements, so it is a level playing field. PBA bowler Mike Miller did not use his thumb when he won 3 titles, should we void his wins? Certainly not. PBA bowler Matthew Ogle converted to a 2 handed approach because of a permanent injury to his wrist. He has another stage of a bowling career/life for his conversion to this technique. PBA member Wesley Low uses a 2 handed approach and uses his thumb and is very successful. Everyone has a different approach to delivery his/her ball. The 2 handed approach is here to stay and it has put life into the sport of bowling. Let's hope we can get the sport in the Olympics with this jolt of a new technique where some want to deliver their bowling balls. I have converted to this technique and love it and enjoy the revs and added speed it has given me.
