He's 24 or 25 at the moment.. "kid" has different usages depending on the context. Fits in some contexts, and doesn't in others. But yea great choreography. Something that isn't as important or focused on these days as far as competitors and also judges.

He was off here but still had the incredible structure to win. I thought Amit deserved the win but after seeing this and the finals he looked much better with a darker tan legs and conditioning still need work but his upper body is literally perfect maybe a tad more lat width and thickness. He poses very well for a rookie, top 6 at the O should be his goal hes not on Breons or Bumsteads level yet.

This is real classic, some of yall still thinking this is the open division where its about who is bigger and more conditioned. The shape he has reminds me of the early 1970's. Although he could work on not standing so square in his mandatory's and a tiny bit more size on his legs he is set.

At least he doesn't have microscopic biceps stretched full of SEO like Bumpstead. Bumpstead is great but his arms are very strange from certain angles. This guy has a Very excellent physique. Like Arnold kind of.
@HeadPack6 жыл бұрын
Indeed, the long biceps tendons are a major flaw in Chris’ otherwise excellent physique. Unfortunately that can’t be overcome by training. CBum may still get the title this year, but once Wesley is fully developed, and has learned to nail his conditioning, it’s going to be lights out for everybody else. As it was with Arnold in his prime.

The vast majority of ifbb pros use SEOs subtly. Almost everyone has atleast 1 lagging body part. The idea is to have a balanced physique to win, so in that sense it would be stupid not to. The key is to do it so you can’t tell. Occasionally people miscalculate, which is when the weekend warrior lui marco type fans get their panties in a bunch, not realizing that everyone else is utilizing seo, including all their current favorites.

@timelordhercules66956 жыл бұрын
Enough with the 'he lacks thighs;' the paradigm is classic physique from the Golden era, not an attenuated form of men's open. How were Arnold's thighs compared to, say, Cbum or Grimes? Vissers just needs more refinement, which will come in time. Get your standards right.
@sh0cktim36 жыл бұрын
Look at old school Arnold his legs were very similar to what Wesley is working with here. Not roided out to death loaded to the max with hgh like Phil heath and that bubble gut division.

Timelord Hercules Indeed, he looks very healthy.
@marijancorluka45005 жыл бұрын
Actually, Classic physique isn't about looking like the guys in the 70's. It's similar, but improved version. It's about having those classic lines and nice flow but with bigger legs and better conditioning. That's what they had in mind when they created this devision. Wesley needs more muscle or he'll never be in the top 10, look at his legs 1:18-1:28

Vissers must have *extremely* smart people working with him, in addition to being quite smart, himself (not exactly a shock, however - he's Dutch). Because he developed his legs in such a way that emphasizes long lines rather than a heavily bulging quad sweep that tapers dramatically before the knees, it gives him a very lean look. Combined with his waist which is naturally a little larger than other tall competitors in the Classic Division, his proportions deceive you into thinking he is substantially less massive than he actually is, although there is no concealing how big his upper body is. But the overall effect of his lean, clean lines makes side posing sequences like from 1:08-1:12 and 1:29-1:32 downright beautiful movements and poses. During those, the whole body line from torso to posterior to hamstrings is very lean, streamlined, tight and, really, beautiful. He looks like an Art Deco statue (with a muscular upper body) in motion. Although many of the other top Classic Division competitors might look more curvy and dynamic than him from the knees up through the abdomen, they cannot convey the same clean, sleek, beautiful artistry that Vissers does in such poses. The first time I saw him (it was a portion of this routine taken out of context), I was struck by the beauty of his lines and overall physique. Now that I've studied him and gotten more analytical, I am only more impressed by the intelligence of the development of his structure and his immaculate symmetry. As an anecdote, I will say that since my eyes are relatively fresh to bodybuilding (I've never really been around bodybuilders in person), to me, looking at photos of him in the off-season shock me because he (and some other Classic Division guys, as well) looks so massive to me that I can't believe that he isn't in the Open Division - I can't believe that this is slimmed-down Classic physique. But when he (and others) gets in competition form and tanned and ready for the stage, the transformation really is stunning. In summation, suffice it to say that, to me, such is the shocking nature of elite athleticism, which is a world so far removed from my own that I can only look at it in utter awe.
