Thanks for showing the truth. Lived in China for around 3-4 years now. In 2017 I visited China for the first time. In 2018 I had the Chance to live in China. And I couldn’t agree more with you. It is so annoying to hear all these lies and stories they make up to let people in the west believe China is such a terrible country with no freedom, no human rights and so on. After living in China for 3-4 years now I can tell you, it is an amazing country. I love the culture, people, the convenience, the gaotie, the food, and so much more. Lately I am back in Germany due to a serious sickness so that I can spend time with family and friends. And since I am here, I find it so hard to talk with people about these topics, because they already have a certain image of the country in their heads made up by the western media. So it is so important that there are people like you showing and saying the truth. 🙏🏻

Very well presented. Like you have I been a long time resident of China and get very frustrated by the constant negativity in the Western media. You're probably not as old as me, but when I think back to my youth and we had the ever present threat of the cold war with Russia I believe there's an ingrained mistrust in the west among the population of anything related to communism. While the Chinese communist government is a far cry for the USSR of the 1960's, people can't disassociate the two. Add to this the western media who promote as much negativity as possible about China and it's kind of a perfect storm for the anti China brigade. Look at the MAGA followers and their ridiculous beliefs about their own government, they just lap up the hatred spewed the Western media.

If we think Western media is bad, what we really need to do is take a good look at US behavior during Cuban missile crisis. The military command drew up an all out invasion plan of Cuba and presented it to JFK with some commanders went as far as suggesting they would go ahead with or without JFK's approval. Even 25 years after the fact, they still believe US should have invaded to take out not only Soviet missiles, but also Communism. Such is the US arrogance that they just don't care that Cubans were not stupid. In the event of a US invasion, Cubans would give Soviets permission to nuke US, even if that would mean the death of every Cuban. How crazy could it get?

The British tv channels also use some subliminal tricks to make China look bad. For example, image filters are often applied to make Chinese cities look dingy and polluted. A recent report about the very cold weather in the northeast of China was shot in a back alley instead of on a normal street. When talking about high speed railways, Japan is always mentioned, but hardly ever China. Sadly, it works: I recommended a KZbin video of a walk across an incredible suspension bridge in China to a friend, but when he thanked me a few days later he described it as a Japanese bridge.

Now, I see how empty American theater is and why it was never satisfying and always infuriating. I will never ever watch any western made movies or plays ever again. Chinese Dramas are the most wonderful educational experiences in the entire world. They illustrate the wisest of the wise. Thank you for helping me to change my uninformed opinion about China. It's the best gift that anyone has ever given me. One of the greatest benefits that I have gained is that I no longer worry about the Chinese people. The Chinese are doing everything they need to do to make their nation a wonderful place to grow up, to work, to play, and to live into old age. I like Xi and I love watching the mighty military parades marching. I love it all.

If you are interested in Chinese history, you can watch some historical TV series, such as "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms", "The Great Ming Dynasty 1566", "The Great Qin Empire", "Kangxi Dynasty"，and "General History of China". Me & my sons went to the F1 in Shanghai, which Riciardo won, (2018). We're from Australia. After the race the authorities ushered us to the very front of the queue to the train, beyond over 500 Chinese citizens waiting in long, numbered pens. We were very thankful, but absolutely willing to wait our turn. Kudos for a people who understand that foreigners might not know the the rules.

I do my best to keep myself informed and up to date and I figured out a bunch of these claims are either BS or severely overblown but whenever I try to set the record straight often the instant reaction I get is "Tanky", "Here, have 50 cents", "Tiananmen never happened", "Winnie's sympathizer" etc. thus any conversation that is to be had is shut down faster than that balloon. Lets hope nobody does anything we will all regret. The worst horror material I see pumped up is from Australian Sky TV and specifically "60 Minutes".

I am educated in western schools, lived and educated in western countries. The truth is not just because most people in the West foolishly falls for the fake narratives but the harsh truth is, deep inside the people in the West mind is this racist mentality. Such mentality is groom from young age, either from education or from home. During my school years, my teachers, mostly British, told us they were asked to educate the students to groom them to have this certain views on Asia and China. These teachers rejected such education, they see that is very wrong to manipulate young minds. Now an adult, looking back, I am very greatful these righteous teachers had taught me the right way.
