Thank you, Warren! You know it's people like yourself who are helping our country work. The farmers and ranchers are the backbone of our country. Sometimes, I wonder if you realize how valuable you are. Few people have your knowledge and perseverance in working with such a wide range of equipment. I'm on your side! & "FJB&G"

I used to turn wrenches for a mining company they had an old Komatsu PC-400-1 excavator with a NTC 855 in it. We had a lot of injector problems with it. The plungers would stick down and score the barrels continuously. We figured out that the ultra low sulfur off road Diesel fuel didn’t have enough lubrication for the old mechanical injectors. ( thanks Uncle Sam ) So with this particular machine we started adding like a gallon of used motor oil to the fuel every time she got fueled up. Problem disappeared.

Thanks for the video, enjoyed watching. One of the first things I was told when I went west with an RV was if you shut down for the night or longer, lift the hood on the engine or you will have some unwanted guest in the form of pack rats and they oh so love chewing on wire, thank goodness I didn’t have to find that out the hard way, I have heard some real horror stories about the destruction they can do. Appreciate your time and effort you put into the videos.

those 6.6 are good engines back when I was field tech for a certain rental company they were in atlas copco 750 compressors and never had any major problem with the 2 dozen or so that I took care of, sad to think about how many perfectly good running ones ended up getting destroyed and replaced with T4 6068 Deere engines thanks to Obama and the tree humpers

Warren the difference between you and alot of diesel mechanics is the attention to detail and the attention to the possibility of defects in new parts .....just because its new dont mean its right .......the old saying it was built at 4:55 pm on a Friday or at 7:05 am on a Monday with an extreme hangover still applies ... you the man Warren !!

I haven’t had the time to watch Warren’s channel as much as I would like but still love the technical content as well as the pearls of wisdom. That last saying, “If it ain’t Chicken sh#t, it sure has henhouse ways about it.” I’m still laughing.😆🤣😂 It brings back fond memories of my long deceased revered Texas grandparents who always had just the right words to fit the moment.

Hey Warren, lots of work this time of year. It seems to me that quality is nonexistent now a days. I can’t remember which Can the ICU communicates on but try searching the T680 2018 schematics. Im wondering if you need to update the abs to a later version ecu. I believe the comms for icu/ABS/CECU/and engine ECU all talk through that can. Im curious if the ICU, or ABS ecu need to be changed (im assuming you changed CECU)

How much does a new Bosch injector cost in the USA. This same injector for the early MF common rail Perkins, such as fitted to 6480 models before changing to Sisu engines, costs £700 plus 20% VAT in the UK. Forget the tax because it is reclaimed but £700 is US$880 each. That’s $5300 plus fitting, which is what it cost my neighbour the other day for six cylinders. I would hope for a complete new cylinder head with injectors for that price but maybe I’m getting old. For what it’s worth, Perkins has lost 90% of their non-Cat customers for these engines. MF have gone Sisu, Manitou and Merlo initially to Deutz, Bobcat/MF telescopic loaders to Doosan, McCormick/Landini to CNH. The customer decline over the last 15 years has been catastrophic for the UK Perkins engine business.
