The Red Sea by Jet Pedals is easily one of the most interested small footprint pedals I have ever seen! It has 14 different routing option mixing pedals and even amps, but here I will just be going through Wet Dry Wet, both clean and dirty, as well as the Stereo Parallel FX Splitter. This units allows Wet Dry Wet to be super accessible live and on your pedal board. Get ready to take some notes, because this in depth demo has a lot of information!

Seriously sold me on this thing man, I’ve been researching wet dry wet rigs, and didn’t want to force 3 channels of the PA just for my guitar. This is the perfect solution. Have you found clean WDW or dirty WDW works better live? And does dirty WDW still clean up enough for ambient stuff?
@nobesmusic
@nobesmusic Жыл бұрын
@@jeremyweiss4845 man that’s awesome! It’s just so great live cause you can really change the mix depending on the song or style of the music. The dirty WDW still works great. That would be like how your normal pedalboard sounds while still have the control of wet effects separately, if that makes sense haha

There is no one on KZbin quite as uniquely adept as you at making me spend money lol. I've been really interested in wet dry wet, especially as I've gathered a large collection of pedals focused on ambient sounds. I've noticed more and more a mush of sound because of the abundance of effects, but have never felt confident in a wet dry wet rig... until now. Gunna have to get this. And a Lamb. And a Lion...and maybe an ACS1. 😂

😂 that is too funny! Thanks for watching may videos though! And yea, this set up with the Red Sea was super cool to experience. It’s crazy to have the wet effects only react to the clean dry signal blended in with the drive sound

So all this is, (i guess) is basically a Custom Audio Electronics Dual Line Mixer in a pedal-format.... with a Blend Control.... just a simple TL072/TL074 "Summing"-Mixer with one Input per Mix.... pretty basic electronics... 😉😉😉😉😉 built one myself off of photos on Stripboard... works like a charm! 🤘🏼

this is one thing that puzzles me about the wet-dry-wet, it feels is a great solution for musicians that like clearest sound without being interfered by the reverb or delay, (folk, jazz, djent) but adding time-based effects, modulation to distortion, fuzz is also something that other group of musicians like, I have no problem achieved a super clear sound using my reverb after stacking fuzz and distortion, having said that, I think this utility pedal can be used in so many ways that makes it incredible flexible and powerful, thanks for the insights.

Yea, well said! I also like the way that my setups without wet dry wet sound. But if you’re someone who really likes the details or cares about getting a specific sound live or recording, this definitely does the job. Thanks for watching!

How is it wet/dry/wet with two outputs? Don't you need three outputs for stereo wet effects with a dry/dirty in the middle?
@nobesmusic
@nobesmusic 6 ай бұрын
Yes! So it essentially functions internally as a wet/dry/wet. Your dry signal is isolated from your drive signal and the wet effects are only being affected by your clean dry signal. Then you blend in all of that together!

Thanks a lot! You can do that, or still have some of your signal in the reverb to get some dirt from the drive effects a little bit. It’s all to taste!

Are you using the effects loop Of your amps or going through the front? I’m running two Blues Jr.s they don’t have an effects loop does the Red Sea act as the loop?
@nobesmusic
@nobesmusic 5 ай бұрын
Going through the front! This might help out with that so that your blues Jrs would also get your clean or pedal driven guitar signal and then you’d mix in the wet effects!

Can I ask a question: What is the purpose of the ASC1? Is this for just going into a DAW?
@nobesmusic
@nobesmusic Жыл бұрын
Sure! The ACS1 is an Amp and Cab Simulator. So instead of using amp, the ACS1 simulates it for when you go direct in. You’d go direct in recording at home, playing live where there aren’t amps, if the sound engineers don’t want stage volume and want s direct signal, or if you moving on the go it’s easy to just move with your board and your guitar. It basically simulates the sound and feel that happens with a pre amp but also the physical cone and reaction that a speaker has from an amp. If you ever plugged in direct you may notice your clean sounds fine, but when you introduce overdrives and distortions it sounds super digital. So the ACS1 and other amp and cab simulators emulate what it a real amp does!

Where are your 3 amps and 3 speakers?
@nobesmusic
@nobesmusic 4 ай бұрын
There aren’t 3 amps or 3 speakers. Two amps from the ACS1 left (fender) and right (vox). The Red Sea is essentially the mixed in sound of a wet dry wet rig you’d have in the studio bus. It separates and has everything mixed internally so you have a stereo out of the wet dry wet effect
