I was recording in the same studio in Edinburgh at the time they recorded this so I heard the tapes as they were just finishing. I was a trendy alternative type so hated it but the humungous gulf in pop sophistication between what they were doing and what we were doing is one reason he's a massive star and I didn't bother...😂 Those guys knew what they were doing right from the start.
