Hey mate. Just curious about loading your speargun while the fish is still on the spear - I assume you then take it off the spear? Must be a reason for this. My first thought is that if you take the fish off before loading, you don’t have any chance of shooting yourself. Would love to know! Cheers!

Hi There, I often leave the fish on the spear until it's reloaded to save time and be efficient. I iki the fish then reload, take my fish off to prep it before putting in float boat (gut, gill, bleed). I am always careful when taking off to ensure I am never pointing my speargun at any part of me or people around me.
