The kill style on Dewey was completely different than Amber or Richie's. Richie always went for the instant kill, Amber was more erratic and mostly ineffective, Dewey was essentially gutted, which is consistent with Stu.

I really feel like they should have left the scene in where Dewey talks about not being able to save his sister because it’s odd that they never really bring up Tatum again throughout the rest of the movies, almost like she is forgotten, considering she was Sidney’s best friend and Dewey’s sister, very odd.

Scream 4 REALLY went crazy with Olivia, Perkins, and Trevor. The audience grimaced and winced so much when Jill shot Trevor. And again, something about getting stabbed through the hand; Olivia and Tara had two scenes where I kinda had to look away. Especially Tara. Olivia’s shot was quick because she got straight up bitch-kicked after. Tara, the camera lingers on her crying and it just breaks your heart. Dewey was the second death that made me cry. I’ll admit the first time I saw Scream, Casey’s mom yelling for her inside the house broke me a little cause she sounded genuinely like a mom realizing her girl was dead.

Before Scream came out in theaters, damn near everyone thought Drew Barrymore’s character was going to be the main protagonist; Her dying in the opening scene was a huge twist. Very deserving of #1

Drew Barrymore was originally planned to play Sidney Prescott in Scream but she asked if she could play Casey instead as it will make the audience freak out with shock seeing her get killed in the first 15 minutes and what a great decision that was made because now it is so iconic in horror and pop culture

Everybody talks about the Bathroom kill with the stab through the year. In most of those bathroom stalls you can see the person's feet underneath. That's how people pass drugs and stuff to each other, from below. Phill was standing right there, Ghostface could see his feet underneath because the walls doesn't go all the way to the floor, so he could in fact know or deduce where Phil's head was placed. Plus, as soon as Ghostface brings the knife back, he looks at the blade noticing the blood on it with a "Yeah, I got him" kind of reaction.

Dewey is my #1 kill in this franchise. Not only because he was a legacy character, but become a favorite over time as I would rewatch all the Scream movies. Scream never made me so angry and emotional until that moment. Another favorite would go to Rebecca in Scream 4. The whole “you are the message” and throwing her off a “dark and deserted parking garage” was mean and brutal.

Here's my Top 10 Kills (No particular Order): 1. Casey/Steve (Perfect Tone) 2. Stu (Getting hit in the face with a TV showing Michael Meyers' face was a nice touch) 3. Richie (BRUTAL) 4. Judy (Loved the cat and mouse game) 5. Dewey (heartbreaking and heroic) 6. Wes (great knife kill) 7. Cici (SMG was great) 8. Rebecca (Ghostface throwing someone on a news van as an "F U" was such as ballsy moved and I loved it 9. Maureen/Phil (Classic Scream-insanity) 10. Tom Prinze (As cheesy as it is, I'll always have a soft spot for that gas scene)

Modern horror movies try so hard to be something and new scream did now with my list updated I’ll give you my top 10 scream kills Before I say it this is just my opinion 10- Olivia- stabbed a lot and thrown through glass This movie didn’t exactly hold up my expectations after 3 but it did and this kill is so brutal it makes me put it on the list 9- Tatum- arm sliced and crushed by garage Scream wasn’t all about gore as ghostface was created which this kill certainly prooves. 8- Steve- stabbed off screen This kill was such a brutal first death and a horrifiying site 7- Jenny- sliced, crushed by garage, and stabbed a few times The screaming and the sad music make this kill sit with me forever 6- Vince- stabbed in neck The suspense leading up to this is brutal but the kill that follows is more brutal 5- Judy- stabbed a lot Little did I suspect ghostface was outside that makes this devastating 4- Wes- Stabbed in neck Vince was killed the same way but for some reason this one is more brutal 5- Randy- stabbed a lot This one is so devastating I had to put it on the list 4- Jill- electrocuted in head Just because she was ghostface doesn’t mean this wasn’t a brutal kill… 3- Billy- stabbed with finger, stabbed with umbrella, stabbed in waste a couple times, shot in waste, shot in head This version of Micheal Myers won’t die. 4- Stu- electrocuted by TV From Mathew lillards great comedy acting it’s almost sad to see him go 3- Amber- set on fire and shot It looks so real… 2- Casey Becker- Stabbed a lot 2 and 1 are tied for me but I’ll put casey here this 1st scream kill is truly devastating 1- Dewey- Stabbed twice Sad and brutal

Scream as a franchise has so many solid kills that its hard to narrow it down to just ten. But I'm gonna give it a try: 10: Stu Macher, Despite the fact he was a killer, its hard not to like Stu. 9: Hoss and Perkins, 8: Judy Hicks (I really wasn't expecting him to be standing right outside) 7: The cop from Scream 2, that pole being thrust through his head was brutal! 6: Maureen Evans from scream 2's incredible opening scene. 5: Amber, my god was it satisfying to see Gale light her up. 4: Jill Roberts, she's still my favourite ghostface. 3: Tatum Riley, I was rooting for her until she tried to fit herself through that tiny cat door. 2: Dewey, like you said I think it was stupid that the movie tries to convince you that a tiny little girl could easily overpower a trained cop, but it was a cool death scene with the double blades and the shot of ghostface standing over his body. I honestly wish that movie did a better job of mourning him in my opinion, all the character deaths in the movie were brushed off pretty quickly. 1: Casey Becker, I knew instantly when I first saw this scene that this would live to be my favourite horror movie. Sometimes I go back just to see the full opening over again. Just the line, "why do you wanna know my name? Because I wanna know who I'm looking at." just that shift in tone from the playful conversation about horror movies to that sudden disturbing realisation that someone is watching her....man that gives me chills everytime!! I can't watch that scene without checking my doors and windows are locked and theres nothing hiding in the closet!

To answer number 2, garage doors vary a lot. The ones for the condo I live at will crush anything under them if you leave anything less than a car there (note: this condo was built in later 1980s-1990s, so this may have to do with that fact). But it also doesn't have a pet door.

In Scream 2, my theory on the reason Omar Epps character got stabbed in the head through a stall is it was really planned and carefully plotted out especially if you go by Sidney's brother, Roman's revelation that he'd been the "BIG BIG" in the background pulling the strings since the OG Scream. Since we know this we can probably imagine maybe Ghostface had a mirror on a stick in the restroom stall carefully and secretly stalking Omar Epps's character and the rest is plot armor.

very good choices I was waiting for drew Barrymore and her BF even if they were mostly off screen that beginning is iconic scared the crap out of me when I was a kid and don’t even know how my parents let me watch this that young or if I even asked but to with my older cousins when I was like 6 the year it came out that fear has subsided due to my size and the ability to own guns 🤣 unless it’s only ghost face kills I’d have to add stu’s as well it’s synonymous with this franchise Too unless this is your hint that you think he is alive? Can’t wait to see where they take the story I think a reintroduction of Stu would be brilliant like many other modern reboots with legacy characters but then again we know there is no neve Campbell in the next one so what would that even look like without Sidney Prescott? I don’t think you can bring back one without the other unless he comes back and survives and their big showdown in the the film in a final trilogy which I’m all about loved what they did with Halloween. I also agree that richies Demise could and would Make my lost if no other reason than the fact that cgi billy loomis was in it and how he guided her towards the hidden knife with a sly devilish eye point then a wink and a nod when she sees it and as usual the bad guy talks to much procrastinates and meets a brutal end with a knife through the face followed by the great one liners “ never f$&k with the daughter of a serial killer.” And after a frenzy of vicious stabs the final words And what about my ending? “ “Here it comes.” So cold! But the icing on the cake for me and what gave me goosebumps and a immediate feeling of nostalgia the first time I saw it was Her signature Loomis family blade wipe with the hand Just like her pops so bada$$ not sure how she would’ve even picked up on that little nuance of his but nonetheless a nice Easter egg and a nod to the OG which is something I like and look for in modern horror movies
