I actually found John standing there frozen to be realistic. The freeze response is very real and you don't often see it in horror movies. When your brain decides that you can't fight and win and can't run and get away, sometimes it just freezes and shuts down and all you really can do is stand there. I think they could have shown it better but I do like having that response included. Also a lot of the ineptitude of fighting is pretty realistic too- its effing difficult to shoot or fight when you are that scared when you don't have any training.

Honestly, my favorite part of the trilogy is that it shows how Michael Meyers has affected not only Laurie’s family, but also the entire town. Because in horror sequels, we don’t tend to see how these killers effect the entire community- including decades latter! This is why I love these films! Also, as for the flash mob. It is stupid, but this is how real flash mobs works. If they think that he is guilty, they all go after him because of parinoya and fear. They are understandably worried about dying and don’t want to die. And because of their hysteria, they attack an innocent guy.

I'm still so torn about this movie. On one hand, the stunts, choreography, gore, and the kills are all impressively done, some of the absolute BEST any Halloween film has to offer as of now. Can we take a moment to appreciate that in the flashback scene, we finally get to see Michael use the rope that was stolen from the hardware store in the original, to strangle the cop. Sheriff Brackett tells Annie that all that was stolen was some knives, rope, and a halloween mask. As far as I'm aware, he doesn't use the rope once in the original 1978 film. Aside from his stabbings, he only uses his hands to strangle Annie and Lynda. He shoulda been able to deliver the "Everyone is entitled to one good scare" in the finale. That would've been brutal

I'm still not sure how I feel about turning Knife Man into a literal Terminator. He was always implicitly unkillable, but horror came from how, aside from that, he was basically just A Guy who was really strong. He's using a very mundane weapon, he's not particularly skilled, he's just waiting in the shadows and *coming for you* and is really hard to put down. Now here he is taking on armed groups of 10+ people head-on and winning. Like why even bother sneaking around through back doors at that point? In that last scene he could have just walked right in through the front and knifed anyone who tried to stop him.

Because doing it the way he does is more satisfying for him. He’s an absolute powerhouse but he doesn’t need to be because the way he likes to do things doesn’t require it

if he knows that he can't be stopped, why wouldn't he kill in creative ways?

This movie was not good at all there just milking the franchise for money can't do anything original anymore wish other studios and creators would get their shit together and fix the rights and licensing issues with better horror movie icons I couldn't take this movie seriously when he just can't lose to 20 ppl in the street

@@dyldog8837 Neither were any of the original sequels either, this movie isn't nearly as stupid as any of the other sequels to the original, so even if it isn't great, it's better than those, you might wanna actually look at them instead of just saying this one is bad

@@nikolachiara9285 the only bad sequels with dumb decisions before this I remember are Halloween resurrection, 5 and 6, there is no defending this movie, Halloween 2 was way better so no the original sequels were better

It’s great to finally have James back and counting kills. Honestly it was a totally well deserved break bc this release schedule is crazy to keep up with.

You can’t expect the Halloween ends kill count to just drop out of nowhere. I’m waiting!

12:29 You think James was pissed off about Hawkins actually surviving, just wait til he gets to Halloween Ends.
