There are tons of people who think officers run towards gun fire because they are legally obligated to do so. There are so many videos of our American law enforcement officers risking their lives running towards gunfire and pulling people out of burning buildings that our society has begun to just expect that behavior they don’t realize how heroic and un natural those acts are for most people. The normal human reaction to hearing a gunshot is to run away from wherever you think it’s coming from but because there’s so many videos online of our officers making it look natural people stop respecting them for how brave it is. The Supreme Court has ruled judging that our law enforcement is in no way legally obligated to put their lives at risk to save anyone they are not required to embark on some suicide mission to save our citizens but day in and day out they do just that. So much so that when an officer actually has to make the decision to save their own life rather than someone else’s they get called cowards by people who have never stood up for anyone or anything

Ehhh, most of those DV charges were misdemeanors, i.e. people yelling at each other or maybe a plate being thrown without hitting anyone. When it comes to serious domestic abuse and felony domestic violence, police probably score on par with military couples, maybe a little higher or lower.

If you're unfortunate enough to be in a vicinity of an active shooter to the point where you can see the shooter, DO NOT pull out your cell phone and record them. GET OUT of there, as fast as you safely can. Worry about your life, and the lives of the people around you, not about catching what's happening on video.

"no justice no peace" to me sounds like a terrorist threat. The outcome of something being justified varies from person to person and it is unlikely that everybody will agree with what it right and wrong. Life isn't fair, but that doesn't mean we can't have peace. I think we need a spoke person for BLM so we can all be on the same page and start laying out what we think justice is. Communication is key.

The fact that some people can’t show a tiny bit of compassion for someone’s bravery and sacrifice due to their political beliefs and/or prejudice is disheartening. These people died for us. It doesn’t matter if they signed up for it or if some of them are bad… THESE cops sacrificed themselves. THESE cops fought for us. THESE cops are NOT the bad ones.
