I have two of them, In my 7.2 set up. And In the small Bedroom they are great.

The SW-150 has been around a while now. For moderate sized rooms, at moderate listening levels, it really does a great job. They are a 10" so not as deep as the 12" subs, and don't have a real punch, they can be a little lazy, but they do have a fairly nice, controlled sound and do sound quite musical in quality. For a sub that compliments your speakers, and just deepens your range, these are really great. As a note - Auto is only for the On/Standby. The crossover still needs to be set. Best to set that 10 to 20Hz above the cutoff frequency of your main speakers and then play it by ear.

Crossover is simply what frequency the subwoofer kicks in. I set mine to 85hz. Frequencies 85hz and lower will be played by the subwoofer at this crossover and so on. Also the auto switch is to save power so it wilk automatically switch off. I dont recommend turning auto on though as it tends to sometimes take awhile to kick in and switch back on when playing music

I agree it's not supper intense unless you want it to be and even the subtle bases comes through well,I am impressed with it and the music side definitely makes a difference 👍

You probably know by now, but the "Auto" feature determines when the subwoofer switches itself on and off (ie when it does or doesn't receive a signal from your amp/receiver or whatever. It saves you having to fiddle with the power switch at the back of the SW). It doesn't have any effect on the volume or crossover settings. That said, at least yours probably works. Just got the same SW from Amazon and it doesn't work at all. Well, the power light works but it refused to make any sound.

I did purchase a older sub and had the same problem I wounder if it could be a compatability issue with the amplifier ,the one I have now works fine.

@@markmarievanlife1549 I eventually got it working. No idea what I did differently but I switched it on and it started producing sound, unlike the previous dozen or so times I'd switched it on. So...any idea how to remove the speaker grill? Lol.

Hi Peter I had the same problem it does feel like it doesn't come off but it does ,I placed some really thin card onto the wooden surface around the top of the speaker cover I used a blunt food knife eased into a very tight gap and gently eased it against the cardboard, I do think it's ridiculously tight and it gives you a sense that it doesn't come off but it does and that's the only way I could get it to remove , I will say it looks impressive without the cover on Hope this helps
