Nicoles W Engine have 6 to 8 sec uptime and Zhuyuans whole combo when daze is 6 to 9 sec depending on the circumstances so its still better imo. And thanks for the tips! Great video!

Had to go recheck, but yeah just remember Soukaku's buff is dependent on her initial attack, which is the same as her base attack, if you're familiar with Genshin. So bonus values do not affect it. And remember some values are dependent on it. Some of Ben's stuff is too. So just watch out for whenever it says initial atk. If it doesn't, it works like how Sweetlily says in this video.

I like to think of Zhu Yuan's combat as being like John Wick gun fu. The goal is to be weaving in shots with the melee attacks, repositioning around the enemies at close range, etc. also note that if you line up some enemies to the left and right of the one you are targeting with her suppressive fire, you can make your shots hit multiple at once. If you are hdiing far away from the enemies it would take way longer to chip everyone down, compared to strategic positioning and kiting the enemies close to one another. Plus, if you are running Nicole with Zhu Yuan, luring the enemies to move close together makes it even easier to stick them all in one spot. Personally, i use the Resonaboo and Nicole to pretty much always have groups of enemies pulled into one spot for Zhu Yuan to just unload and take them all out very quickly

Another tip I would give is to pause your supports at lvl 45 for now, because that's when you actually unlock their next tiers of talent levels. It is considerably cheaper in terms of xp than going to lvl 50 and most of them barely benefit at all from that 5-level gap.

@2:27 this genuinely made me laugh. I cant think of any other ranged chracters, but for Zhu Yuan and Billy, i use atk>dodge to keep close range and still attack to prevent step back. it can push you closer if you move the camera and still keep at 100% range. For Zhu yuan she rolls when she atacks with it, and Billy does a spin gun move if you do it right. actualyl hopped in to training mode to look XD, Zhu Yuan has two versions, if you dodge and atk while holding forward in dodge she dives forward, if you move left or right while you dodge then atack, she rolls. Billy DOES do the same moves. Also really like the idea of a character gets more damage at farther range. Awesome video. Got a sub here!

Zhu Yuan can actually when you roll by holding the movement key during her combo (without consuming dodge) it's pretty nice if you happen to time it as well, Billy can do the same but I think he needs a Mindscape

Thanks for the video and all the work testing that goes into it Great to know for about the stun characters and the amount of daze dealt being tied strictly to impact, which really means most of it is tied to their passive and skill level modifiers because impact is relatively static itself outside of disc 6 and engines. For other tip video ideas, I think dodging could be a great topic, especially when and why to dodge. One of the most common complaints I see is about the forced switching imposed by parrying and running out of assist points (which could be a topic in itself). Many commonly used characters like Ellen, Zhu Yuan, or Anby benefit from dodging, and it activates Starlight Engine too. It feels like an underappreciated part of combat because it lacks the satisfying visuals and sound design of parries. But I know you have lots going on and there's more ideas than time so as always cover what you feel is best and take good care of yourself too

This is a very informative video - thanks for this. I had to learn leveling characters the hard way playing Genshin since release, with it being my first gacha n' all (I eventually caught my DPS up to where I need them to be). I came into ZZZ doing exactly as you said. The way I do it in both games is that I start out leveling everything that uses the easy-to-get materials (everything up to blue). Once I start hitting the harder-to-get purple and gold mats, I start cherry-picking what's important for each character, maxing out main DPS and leave support characters a little lower.

The character level thing is crazy. I'm so used to 80/90 characters in Genshin, but I guess 50/60 won't cut it here. I thought Anomaly might get some hidden buff from max level like Transformative Reactions, but I never would have thought Attackers would benefit beyond the actual stat increases as well.

Thank you for this video! I was wondering what was the deal with the ATK values being so different to what I expect in combat. A question I have is if there's utility in using a 2-p for a +10% anomaly damage instead of going for a 2p Hormone Punk for the raw +10% ATK. Taking for instance Nekomata, where all her attacks are physical. And another question, I was wondering what the difference between PEN% and Nicole's DEF debuff is.

For Neko you probably go 4pc physical + 2pc crit/atk% or 4pc crit + 2pc phys/atk depending on which has the better main stats or substats

I would say that for Nicole and Rina's W engines they benefit more from both characters being able to keep damaging enemies while switching out. So that should keep the uptime a bit longer but only be beneficial to put on those characters. But maybe I'm just coping from rolling Rina's W engine instead of a character T-T Great video!

the reason your damage increase by significant ammount by just leveling your DPS is because there's a damage reduction if your level is below the enemy and damage bonus if your level is above the enemy, so you either closing or surpassing the gap by simply leveling them up (also your attack increase factoring it a bit)

If you have nicole M1 you can increase the uptime of her buff a lot by holding her ex skill down, then after about a second or so, rotating your movement to switch animation and continuing to hold. It contributes to the charge time, meaning her skill remains on field for longer.

I would still use Vault on nicole. Her core passive buff only last 1.5 seconds longer than Vault buff. If you play her with Zhu Yuan you normally would swap back to Nicole mid burst to re-apply a charged EX and quick assist back to ZY (especially if she has starlight engine, this activates the passive buff). My rotation on stun: Nicole->Zhu Yuan (this doesn't activate Starlight Passive but it made sure her chain attack is buffed by Nicole which is way more valuable) -> 5 bullet burst -> Nicole Charged Ex -> Quick Assist ZY, then E/Ult/Bullet burst) On Bosses, preferably trigger stun on not-Anby, then go Anby->Nicole->ZY. If you accidently trigger on Anby, then just go back to Anby last and manually swap back to ZY. It's not ideal but you need the bangboo Anomaly if you are bringing Chaotic Metal 4pc.

a spoiler leak, Soldier 11's partner Trigger ranged attack actually increase (instead of decease) the further she is as she is a sniper. But she will be very late release since she is unique op far range char. And Soldier 11's captain actually is strong enough to push back enemy boss to increase the distance. Soldier 11 is considered the weakest in her faction since they (exclude Soldier 11) are dealing with stronger rebel factions outside their territory. When you switch to Trigger, she will be at her original position rather than from the previous character's position- meaning if you switch between Soldier 11 and Trigger, Trigger can be at 15m away from the enemy while Soldier 11 will be beside the enemy. Wait for future new maps that are not set in urban or city areas.

In the end, the one true solution is always a good disc which F2P always struggle with.

It's mostly the level 60 as opposed to level 50 attacker part. I've similar discs and stats, but I can barely reach B rank in the last few stages. First 3 S Rank is pretty easy, but then as enemies level up in the later stages, damage drops harshly at lvl 50 vs lvl 60-70. Shiyu defense was clearly designed with max level agents in mind. But well, at least it's possible to clear with the right setup prior. 🙃
