What a BEAST!!!!! first start Moto Guzzi V11 sport (1064cc) motor converted to fit 1977 Tonti frame.

I bought the engine, gearbox, full wiring loom, full fuel injection set up, from a low mileage dismantled 2003 Moto Guzzi V11 sport LeMans, with the idea of converting to fit my 1977 t3 California, because about 20 years ago i fitted a similar 1100 sport motor to my 1976 LeMans and it was brilliant. I sold the 6 speed box as sadly that won't easily fit a Tonti frame, and sold all of the injection kit as I wanted to run the motor with Dellorto carbs from a 70s LeMans 850.
I changed the timing chest cover from the spine frame type to the Tonti frame type, rebuild the clutch with stronger solid friction plates in place of the original spoked plates, fitted a Cali' 1100 5 speed box and then set about working out what was what on the original fuel injection wiring loom to see if i could run the original ECU to manage the spark if the fuel injection was omitted.
yesterday with no carb's on the motor I managed to crank the motor from the original v11 sport starter button and create a spark, so today I hastily fitted my phf36 carbs using insulating tape to take up the gap between the small carb clamping union and the huge throttle body rubbers...
