Ive probaly listened to this song over 100 times, and I cry everytime...
@speed5914 Жыл бұрын
My mrs made fun of me for crying to my mum on the phone talking about our relationship problems that had been ongoing for years because I felt I was financially exhausted expecting happiness but got no appreciation in return and I exploded in tears trying to explain to my mrs that it was the first time in my adult life that I had talked to anyone about how I felt because I was a man and was supposed to hold that shit down. I said "you talk to your mum, friends, siblings all the time and I havent said a word to noone so thats why I was in tears because I felt like a huge weight was lifted from my shoulders and someone out there actually cared". Then I ran to the couch and sobbed. My son ran to me wept and gave me a big hug. This song actually helped me prep my son for when he gets older.

I'm nothing special. I am the second child of 8 kids to a single mother among 6 fathers. My mother is also the eldest of a single mother. Two generations of women telling their daughters to expect nothing less than everything from a man, but not how to operate beside a man. Two generations of women telling men all that they must provide without telling them what love and respect from a woman actually looks like. There are some really bad stats that are far more likely in single-mother households than in two-parent and single-father households. Stats that have affected my life. Men are necessary in spite of what the god of this world has been telling everyone. It took many long nights talking to the Father and trusting him to teach me to walk on my own, how to care for the woman He placed beside me, and how to be for the two sons He blessed me with. I recently talked with someone who pointed me back to Genesis (because I got scripture wrong and He knew I needed to look at it again), where the Fall was placed on the head of men, not women. The reason why was not what I thought it was (God arbitrarily putting Adam in responsibility and Adam falling down on the job), but the fact that God told Adam before He created Eve not to touch the fruit. Adam told Eve. Eve listened to the serpent instead of her husband, and then Adam listened to Eve instead of God. Men need to absolutely start taking God far more seriously than they do everything else. When a man is in God, then God is in him. And that makes him the leader she is looking for: just, fair, gracious, kind, loving. Everything I have heard every woman say she wants is what a man who is in God becomes, through His work. Thank you for your video.

Thank you for your reaction. One of the best I've heard yet. Hearing a woman acknowledge a man's feelings makes us feel good. We just want to know we are valued and appreciated for our efforts. Thank you for your reaction and God bless.

In the original Dax says "unconditional love is only for women, children and dogs." and he's right. Men are only loved and appreciated for what they can provide.
@switchurnotions Жыл бұрын
It's conditional for women also. Ww all have expectations of each other. Only God's love is unconditional
@Farinhir Жыл бұрын
@@switchurnotions Once most real (masculine Christian) men choose a mate the love for our spouse is unconditional. There is a reason most divorces are instigated by women in the United States. Cheating on the part of the men is not the reason. It is usually because the woman finds someone who can provide more than the man she married. Godly men love our women, children, and dogs without condition (unless the dog attacks our children). Men, on the other hand, get left by "godly" women as often as secular relationships in today's society. The church has fallen so much.

"Only women, children and dogs are loved unconditionally. A man is only loved under the condition that he provides." is the complete quote. Chris Rock adapted an older quote.

One of the first questions women will ask one another about a man they're interested in is "what does he do?"
@DavidFrost99928 ай бұрын
And men ask their friends "What's she like?" Yeah, fairly, some guys talk appearance, but there is a subtext of how kind she is. How good. And those not asking appearance only want to know this.

It's not often when a man thinks he'd be better off dead that's the most dangerous. It's when a man thinks, "they'd' be better off if I were dead" that it's getting really dangerous - because they're who we've killed ourselves for this whole time anyway - so what's one more sacrifice?
@brileygabriel49498 ай бұрын

There is a meme i really feel.. quite old now. A man with arrows in his back reaching down to pull his partner up. She has a fire beneath her. Shes struggling too... and the words from both are something like "why can't they help me"... but they dont see each others struggles. On their own immediate pain
@Farinhir Жыл бұрын
I don't think the last man said he would "chill with his demons". I think it was that he would rather be alone on the weekends to "deal with the demons". He is fighting them. It doesn't help to have to fix other people's issues to deal with his own demons. But that is what is expected of us men. We are expected to fix the problems of others before we selfcare. It is a losing battle.
@brileygabriel4949 Жыл бұрын
No... He actually said, "Chillin with my demons"...and he was speaking for a lot of us that can't feel at home with anything other than our demons.. (Alcohol, drugs...porn..) whatever it might be.. because the demons don't judge..You owe the demons nothing, or so you think, until they take your very life... and I imagine a lot of men are ready to give even THAT up at that point.. :-(
@Farinhir Жыл бұрын
@@brileygabriel4949 Yeah. I caught it on a different listen. And I don't think he is necessarily meaning those types of demons, but rather the ones in our heads that tend to try to break us. Alcohol, drugs, porn, and the rest are vices that people use to cope with their demons. The demons are those voices in our heads that try convincing us we are worthless or better off dead.
