Oh, Carl, Dimash gives me goosebumps and chills every single time, and I gladly experience that every single time. Over and over again. It’s not even a question. I had listened to Lara’s version and while her voice is beautiful and crystal clear, Dimash made it his own and took it to another level. That last little high soprano run, he just threw it in. Lara’s version didn’t have that. Also how Dimash handled the arrangement of that line “Forever you’ll stay…” is different than how Lara sang it. Dimash’s version showcased his breath control prowess and his powerful voice. Love this song. 2017, Dimash didn’t know that much English, so he learned the song and lyrics by pronunciation only a week prior to the show. I would say he did a great job given his circumstances. Thanks Carl for your great reaction. 😊

Carl, I truly do love this song, both by Dimash and Lara's original, so you do need to select a live version from Lara. It gets harder and harder to keep a Dimash "Top 5" list, or even a "Top 10"! I think my list is now at 25 - hehehe

For 5 YEARS of listening to this song : My hairs (STILL!) always stands on end from the oh S O O O TENDER beginning, with the falsetto..! 😭😭 and then the 💔-wrecking (almost agressive) desperation in the mid-part...! And the "no, no, no , no , no, no" at the end, on his knees pounding the floor STILL has me in tears.... EVERY time.... 🤯🤯 Don't kill me for this fellow Dears. I LOVE Lara Fabian! Dimash recently gave an interview at the New Vision 2024 forum for Business and Arts in which he shows why he is so appreciated, not only in Kazakhstan, but around the world. Hi Carl! As Michael Elliot stated above, Dimash got a 6th place for his performance of Bruno Mars’ Uptown Funk. Even though the audience and competitors were dancing in place and singing along, he only got 6th. At that time they were sending anyone in 7th place home. Dimash knew he had to give it his all, and he poured every ounce of his energy and being into this performance. He got 1st place. He was exhausted afterwards. Look at his face when he’s on his knees. He collapsed onto the sofa in the green room utterly spent. But he had his first place for that round. Your words just now express it perfectly. How often have you seen any artist pour every iota of themselves into a song? Almost never!

Lara Fabian did a beautiful rendition of this song. This is one of my favorite songs by Dimash. Would you please react to Dimash singing "Unforgettable Day" as it was performed on Singer 2017? Most folks are more drawn to his Gakku performance because of the D8. I loved his energy and stage presence, the orchestra, and the background singers when it was performed on the show. Just like this performance of Adagio. So powerful and they all meshed so beautifully together. I love to watch your expressions and hear your comments on that song. I was anticipating your reaction when you stopped at 7:00 of this video and just like Dimash, you did not disappoint. Unlike you, I am not a wordsmith, but, you put into words what I feel inside. Aloha, always love your reactions as you are quite knowledgeable about many aspects of music that most reactors do not catch or touch on. Yes, Lara Fabian is one of the most encompassing emotional artist on stage that I know! Some of her beautiful pieces are: Adagio, Je T’aime, Broken Vow, the Ring and Je Suis Malade and Madamoiselle Hyde in which she wrote for Dimash. She will grab you emotionally from her first word as she takes each word seriously!!! Never have I seen a performer quite unique like her! Ever since this performance, whenever the word "passion" would come up with Dimash, I've always commented the same thing: "You want passion?? THIS is PASSION!!!"❤😮😮😮❤ And, as always, thank you for what I've felt since discovering you right from the beginning when you found Dimash--namely, you are my favorite Reactor, with an absolute stunning breadth of knowledge in addition to how you express it. I also confess the way you so often make me laugh with some quip is just the cherry on top. I'm not kazakh but I'm with you when you said that kazakhs have so many reasons to be proud of him, they really do! The other day when I saw him with Guterres from the UN I thought the exact same way as you putted (although I would add more reasons to be proud of him). I'm so proud of him and I am a portuguese Dear. If I were kazakh I would be constantly melting in proud.

I'm gonna see him live in November in Germany. Can't wait. I've seen everything there is on YT, but with even the best of videos I feel like... there is no way this video is conveying fully what he's doing. Love this rendition. Very different from Lara’s, BUT I LOVE Lara! It took me a minute, but she has such expression and passion in her delivery. I understand why Dimash loves her. Dimash is amazing here, even though I really appreciate the maturity in his voice and delivery now. Could you please do a few songs by Lara? Her “Je Sui Malade” “Adagio”, Madmoiselle Hyde”, and ANY other song, are an EXPERIENCE! Thank you for always being in AWE of this exceptional man! P.S. you May want to check out Dimash’s version of “You Raise Me Up”, where he sings with Chinese Children. One of my favorite! Talk about MATURITY………….!!!!!! ❤

May I make a suggestion regarding your Dimash playlist? Would you consider ordering it from oldest reaction to newest? I find it a much better experience when a reactor does this, then if I am watching for the first time I can simply hit play and then enjoy. If it is not done this way then I have to put in some work to watch in chronological order. Many Dimash fans are excited to watch the progression of appreciation. Make it easy for us, make it better for YOU. I am willing to put in the work to reorder a playlist, but many are not. I feel your engagement with Dimash fans and people who haven't heard him before will increase a lot if you make this simple change. Thank you for your consideration.

Hey Carl, nice to have you back, I started to wonder if everything is alright at yours... And, tbh, when I saw your reaction coming up in my suggestions I could just see "What a performance..." in the thumbnail and was immediately thinking "Oh, he's finally watched RAYE's Brit Awards medley!" (or Oscar Winning Tears live at the Royal Albert Hall, or maybe her new Genesis MV...) - so I was a bit disappointed it is "only" Dimash again when I opened the video... But, well, he's quite incredible as well, so I'll rock with him for now... though I will say I prefer Lara's original... but that's only me, I'm so much more attracted by a compelling female voice than any male's...
