Very great editing man! Must have taken a lot of effort. Very good job on that. Kian looks really fast. How come i didn't know him before :O I also really like the fact you are promoting Roux method. Its really underrated. I tried switching to it once a few weeks ago but ended up switching back to cfop because of frustration :p I might consider switching again, but i need motivation!
@criticalcubing8 жыл бұрын
Kian and GuRoux are the fast Rouxers I know. Kian is averaging 7.5 and GuRoux is sub 8. Roux is good. I used it for a while but because of my CFOP oriented mindset, I couldn't get that efficiency with Roux.
@AtharvGoel8 жыл бұрын
+CriticalCubing Exactly same here. With cfop i feel like improvement speed is a bit slower than Roux. I know someone who got sub 10 with roux in just about 3 months

I see roux having more potential, most roux solvers have been cubing 2> years and some of our best CFOP solvers been solving 5+ years, and since they are both sub 6 solvers most of time, people could one day get sub 4 solves, I am not a roux silver myself but trying too learn

Bhawana Singh I have one request: some comparing methods, stop comparing cubers, you can be sub 10 with LBL, you can be sub 5 with LBL + ZBLL ,so efficiency and tps is the most important thing, not asking which method is faster
@cubergt14648 жыл бұрын
is this faster than cfop?
@TheCheaterMinecraft8 жыл бұрын
What is the stronger champ I need to know, there must be one with 100% winrate and no skill needed at all ? ... We can't know if it's faster or not, it's just about practice, average turns in solve is almost the same I believe from what I saw years ago so... your question is actually dumb
@the6sides8 жыл бұрын
It should be. It uses fewer moves than CFOP, just no very many people learn it, and other people (Like me) are stick in the muds because we like CFOP. But if someone were to practice Roux enough to the point where they have Feliks's TPS, they would average 5 seconds. So essentially, it could become faster than CFOP.
@criticalcubing8 жыл бұрын
If 2 cubers, both are turning at 8 TPS and not pausing in their solves, then Roux will get faster times than CFOP because of its efficiency and less no of algs. However, CFOP has more LL varients, and someone who uses ZB or something like that will get similar or faster time, because CFOP is just algs, and not much intuition. The thing I like about Roux is the less no of algs, and the intuitiveness that it give me. Also, using Roux, you don't have to turn fast to get fast times. GuRoux got a 6.1x solve turning at 6TPS. Nonetheless, CFOP and Roux get similar times, so whatever method you use, your times will be similar.
@SereneAryal8 жыл бұрын
+CriticalCubing What is your normal TPS ??

I can do 7 TPS but generally I hover around 6 TPS I believe.

Most fast rouxers only do blocks with white or yellow on bottom.
@criticalcubing8 жыл бұрын
White/Yellow on bottom with any y color like red green orange blue isn't stupid at all. You have 8 options to choose from, 4 each. If you became fully CN with Roux, then you would have 24 blocks to chose from and you won't be able to inspect properly in those 15 seconds. 8 blocks is more than enough.

is this not just f2l without doing a cross?
@lordwalterebenyzrbautista2047 жыл бұрын
No. With blockbuilding, you are not limited since you don't have to worry about ruining anything. For your first block, you can solve it in any way you want, and the second block can be solved using L, M, U, and R moves without having to worry about even touching the first block. Then you orient and permutate the upper corners (i.e. if your bottom is white, you're doing this step with yellow corners). Just as a reminder, your center can be anywhere, so if you're doing this step, it's ok if you have some other color as your center since fixing it won't affect the corners. After that, you do an EO, and then you solve the edges intuitively.

I have a hunch about why everyone uses cfop. 1. Most beginner's methods are similar in some ways 2. Highly algorithmic 3. Easy recognition 4. Mostly 2 gen. Easy fingertricks. Roux: 1. Not many similar beginner's methods 2. Highly intuitive (exception of cmll) 3. Harder recognition + M U based instead of 2 gen. Harder to fingertrick.
@topfive84157 жыл бұрын
the main reason, FAST USSEERSS USSE CFFOOP ROUX IS NOTT A GGOOD METHOD OR MORE PEOPLE WOULDVEEE USED ITTT!!!!!!!!!!
@DialektLp7 жыл бұрын
I have something about the last thing the recognition may seem harder because you hide more useful pieces in the back but this is less of a problem with lookahead + recognition for both CMLL and LSE is really fast M-U is also 2-Gen and even easier to fingertrick
@lenardegypto7276 жыл бұрын
