A lot of people get confused when he says "I've been waiting 8 long years for this" but it's not like he leaves and comes back when he ages. He quite literally magically ages in a second, absorbing a year of knowledge and training without the time it takes. So even if he's 80 by the end it'll still be 8 years in real time

He is where I realized how OP it is to switch between parry and down dodge. It actually would have made the other bosses much easier too. Just parry until your block bar is nearly broken then down dodge to replenish because parry damages their bar on top of your attacks. Just make sure to parry his GOD DAMN SWEEP

​@@Pongsifu summed up my strat against Yang perfectly... except for the sweep. I usually avoid that as well. On phase 1, if his leg glows and he's too far, it's a sweep. On phase 2, he probably does it only if you keep spamming avoid for too long. Or if I misjudge a sweep, I just follow-up with a ground takedown. Win-win for me.
