Also in the game you learn that the garrison under the command of Irina’s father basically made the misbegotten work for them and stuff within the castle walls and over time the misbegotten got more privileges and weren’t watched as much and then Irina’s dad the commander of the castle decided to bring even more misbegotten into the castle and it got to the point were there was more misbegotten then actual guards and ya they rebelled and killed everyone

Its the same as slavery bro. Just coz the slaver is a "nice guy" and gives them privileges doesn't remove the evil from the practice itself. This was often seen during the american civil war where even the kindest of the plantation owners were left behind by their former slaves and many of them were shocked. A guy even wrote a book about the whole thing where even his most loyal slaves left after Abraham Lincoln declared their freedom and he came to see how horrible of a practice it was.

Unless you grow your own food, create your own technology, wear the clothes you yourself have made, then gaining resources for said thing and then manufacturing it was created from slavery. You're also pick and choosing. There are also books about ex-slaves that decided to stay with their owners, and also occurences where the owner had to take care of the slaves, because they'd die on their own. It's easy to moralize about slavery, but the truth is, the civilization is built upon it, and it's been a part of humanity from day 1.

@@affable8696 I get that it's a lot more complicated but that doesn't excuse it. If you're saying that society advancing should excuse any atrocities committed to get to the end goal, then I can't help you bro. And btw, they were forced out of their homes to come to a new land FOR slavery. If you decide that you'd work for free no matter the working conditions, that's on you, but those people had no choice but to choose the slave owners who would treat them with a bit of human decency rather than to run and be hanged or get caught by another slaver who would've treated them as less than animals. And even then they would've had to live in fear that they don't piss off the person who OWNS THEM in the eyes of society cause who knows.

Godfrey pretty much conquered the entire map from the Mountain Top of the Giants, stalemated Liurinia, and wrecked Limgrave and the Peninsula last. After Castle Morne Godfrey lost his golden hue in his eye losing his place as Elden Lord since no foe’s existed for him to fight so Queen Marika exiled him along with all Tarnished from the Land Between. If I’m not mistaken all the Castles in the game were built prior to the Golden Order and possibly linked heavily with the age of the Crucible.

People seem to think he sent her off alone and that he's a bad father but it comes across he is trying to hold off the greater demi human force within the castle so they don't pursue her.

This is what truly sets Elden ring apart from other open world games. Instead of the linear dungeons we got in the souls series, in Elden Ring we were givin entire areas to explore and search before going to that areas dungeon and finishing it, and the entire time exploring you would learn more either through item descriptions or environmental story telling about that areas dungeon ( or boss for instance in the last couple areas) I found myself a little overwhelmed at first too after I first beat it and tried to play more runs, but after a while finally realizing this it’s actually made the game even more fun to replay for me, and instead of overwhelming feeling like I once had in starting a new game it begins to feel like an adventure again. Nothing will ever measure to the first time, obviously, but the fact it can still feel like an adventure after exploring almost all of the game and 100% it, no other game has ever made me feel that way while keeping the main plot at play the entire time.

@jimjimson6208
@jimjimson6208 Жыл бұрын
I believe that the great tree was the Erdtree back when it was still alive, and that the Golden Order was originally based around the worship of the still-living tree. The Aspect of the Crucible incantations say that they are a manifestation of the Erdtree's primal energy. The Crimson Amber Medallion says that the sap of the Erdtree was treasured during the age of Godfrey, suggesting that the tree was still alive at that stage. Similarly, the Sacred Tear description says that the Erdtree was worshipped in all churches during its age. Furthermore, the Crucible Axe Armour description says that the knights served Godfrey, so it seems strange to say that the Golden order decried worship of the great tree, when it is the foundation of their faith. Obviously the fact that the misbegotten are mistreated is not in question, but I think the common interpretation of the Winged Misbegotten Ashes description may be in error. The ashes read 'The misbegotten are held to be a punishment for making contact with the Crucible, and from birth they are treated as slaves, or worse.' This video, and some other discourse I have seen, assumes that they were punished for making contact with the Crucible as the Crucible itself is viewed as heretical; I would posit that it makes more sense for Crucible itself to be viewed as sacred, as this is more in line with the sources I indicated earlier, and that it is rather the act of coveting it or coming in contact with it that is seen to be sacrilegious. I would argue that the 'punishment' described is their twisted and warped forms, a result of daring to come too close to the primal energies of the Erdtree, and that their enslavement is due to the fact that the Crucible (old Erdtree) was viewed as being 'above' mortal creatures and daring to touch it being viewed as a cardinal sin. TL;DR, I think that the Golden Order doesn't prosecute misbegotten because of their connection to the old Erdtree, but rather because the violated a directive of the faith by making contact with it, something which evidently carries consequences of its own as seen in their horrible malformities.

If i could i would make mod rearranging progression, with rocks and walls and so on. The game would start in Chapel of anticipation but you have to win with Scion, you drop and it washes you out in empty Misbegotten arena behind the castle, you climb up and see massive battle raging, if you kill Misbegotten the knights dont attack you, you fight Misbegotten boss in the castle bailey, you go out, and there's new village, the battle rages on, main gate is blocked by massive dead misbegotten crushed by portcullis, you go through hole in the wall, rocks block your way east so you go to the western weeping peninsula, only there in the church on top of the hill you meet Melina. You go to the bridge to limgrave but friendly knights who locked themselves on the bridge tell you that they can't let anyone out as long as certain amount of Misbegotten/beast man/omen bosses are alive, you kill the bosses you go to limgrave, the main gate to storm hill is closed, you need to go around through eastern limgrave, you also see massive quarantine wall cutting off the caelid, you go through stormveil since side parth is blocked, you enter souther liurnia, the highway is not sunken so it forces you around it, entrence to the four belfries is blocked with rocks but there's new bridge leading to it from raya lucaria, you can only enter raya lucaria through gate town entrence, you fight rennala, the bridge to four belfries opens up, you go through road to caria manor that is also blocked off from lake by rocks, from caria manor you go through the secret lift to altus, but your only available path is to mount gelmir, you do all the stuff there and go down to shaded castle, and only then are able to go through the canyon to dectus lift (you would need to go down the lift to inaccessible otherwise north eastern liurnia to progress to frenzied flame ending) and properly enter Altus Plateau. Only available entrence from altus to outer walls of leyndell is through dominula, the entrence to city itself is blocked by seal of radahn, to enter lower caelid you need to go to minor erd tree church outside leyndell, and it teleports you to smoldering church, you go to radahn, this time he's at his full strength and assisted with mini bosses, but you have more summons, after killing him you climb to upper calid that you couldn't enter earlier, you go to bestial sanctum and there you get teleported to leyndell. You progress through leyndell normally, go to a consecrated snowfields first and climb the frozen waterfall to get to mountain tops, you kill the fire giant and accidentally burn the wrong tree - you go to The Burning Haligtree and kill Malenia, summon the burning Farum Azula over haligtree and transport the fire to Erd tree by means of fire tornado. They the endgame, i don't care, kill elden beast on horseback.

Tarnished, you are like an invasive species in the lands in between. They all may hate each other, but they all have an unspoken agreement to squash any Tarnished they see like a cockroach 🪳

because your a tarnished you by design are a killing machine and every one has a reason to hate you because tarnished traditionally are aligned with the golden order but since the golden order also wants you dead so you cant become the next lord your basically hated by every one

I wish there was a little more faction awareness in the game, clearly Edgar and the rest of the footsoldiers are allies, why is only Edgar not immediately hostile? I wish as long as you didn't try to hit the soldiers they didn't attack you.

the crucible knights are all aligned with different people and are effectively wandering at this point they used to serve the crucible before it got smashed but then when it fell apart they went and found different causes to fight for which is why you find some protecting the dragons and others in random locations

Saving her seems impossible. She dies no matter what you do. There's also a glitch where her father won't even show up at the top area of castle morne. Leaving most of us who try to complete the quest, completely unable too.
@shiiiiiion
@shiiiiiion Жыл бұрын
She dies to the castle boss lore wise, so you facing him dooms her to death. Expect a lot of characters to die as you progress quests and the game in general, it's basically a sign that you are on the right path.

Actually no. There is no "Great Tree", they just mistranslated the description which cites it (in Japanese it actually says "the great roots of the Erdtree" and not "the roots of the Great Tree"). Moreover also the Crucible and the Erdtree are basically the same tree, just in different phases of its life.
