Agreed, he should have been a Bunny for life, but sometimes it just doesn't happen and they maybe risking some potential youth by signing him for 3 years. I think it will be a good move for him, much better than the Sharks, and that is saying something given Brisbane's woes of late. I am surprised he went for less money though, so maybe there is more to it, something outside the captaincy, he could have negotiated that at the Sharks I'm sure.

Nicho Hynes be a better fit, he's more modern day, he is a better creator which is what you need in a modern day #1. Turpin is becoming a solid 9. Hynes, Staggs, Reynolds and Turpin is a strong spine.

Not to be mean but there could be some shortcomings to this signing. People need to remember that Cook and Walker heavily complement Reynolds. So did players like Inglis and Burgess. He's a brilliant kicker but doesn't create many tries on his own. In 2020, he had 11 try assists. Nathan Cleary had 24 and Shaun Johnson had 23. The Broncos need to support him by rebuilding their entire spine (fullback, hooker, and 5/8th). Those combinations will take time. He'll definitely polish their sets, but I worry that he'll be expected to do a lot of heavily lifting, especially with an untested 5/8th.
