Ahhh Wendy you are so similar to my manager here on the East Coast, and I love you both! So honest straight forward but compassionate and maternal ❤️ I have learned so much about life and this crazy business from you both and I have grown so much! I wish you both could meet, I'm sure you would be good friends! Anyways thank you so much for making these videos and writing your books!

Great video. As a director I find it so important to work with actors who respect and appreciate that this is as much a business as it is an art. Thank you.

I'm so thankful to have someone like you in the world Wendy. Soooo many of your videos have given me a much more extensive and realistic knowledge of the BUSINESS that is acting. I'm only 15 years old, and most aspiring actors my age wish they knew as much about the industry as I do. I don't know everything, but you have helped in such a big way, thank you!

Hello Wendy I've got a question for you! Should you or should you not shoot scenes specifically for your demo reel? Cause I've booked some work but not enough to make a demo reel. Thanks -Justin
@wendyalane17 жыл бұрын
Shoot them if it helps you get more auditions great. If not oh well. Just make sure what you shoot is up close on YOU and get the dialogue right off TV shows.

I always seem to have a hard time just to get someone to sign me. I received a TV credit last year but no one is trying to take me on as their client. I even had private coaching done too. What am I doing wrong?

I am not sure if this is the best way to ask a question, so I apologize if this is unprofessional. This video makes me feel good about taking a 6-9 month absence. my question is, I found I was average, while auditioning, among untrained, but everyone likes my attitude and confidence; Do you think taking time off to rebrand yourself and work on your marketability is wise? or should have I stayed auditioning while making the transition? my thoughts were that a drastic change, accompanied by being new, so to speak to casting directors again, with new head shots, with clear improvement and added marketability, would possibly give me some momentum.

Your attitude being good is a great thing. It all comes on your acting skills. And you don't need to take time off to get acting skills to take time off from acting classes to brand yourself. If you're in Los Angeles you need to train with Amy Lyndon. If you're in New York you need to train with Matt Newton

Cosplays Olivia you are good enough. Believe me each of these talented actors and actresses we know had been told they were not good enough before they actually succeeded. Don't believe those people who say you are not worth it
