I just want to add an example of not giving up if an agency says no at first. When I was fresh and green I was turned down by a modeling agency I really wanted, a year and a half of hard work and a fresh new haircut later they were begging for me! Keep with it kids!

Tips: 1) Create a contact book 2) Getting an Agent - get a target list of 10 that’s good 4 you & send a post card monthly to them (separate lists 4 commercial & theatrical agents) 3) Get outstanding headshots (Spend $400-500) 4) Get Training w/people CDs respect 5) Create a Hi-Def Demo Reel w/appropriate roles (not school plays, etc.)

Wendy you're a godsend, I just finished three books by Stanislavski, I'm starting on your book in the next 30 minutes i've been in touch with the acting coach from New York and starting our first session on Monday, i've already got an audition for the international school of screen acting here in London, and applying for voice-over work from now till 2 April,. Going on a photo shoot on Saturday, and piling up resumes to harass every agent with a confined 👍 thank you for everything you do it's very much appreciated and certainly is an outstanding amount of help

Koji G hey i was watching this video and I saw your comment, is your acting career still going steady? What is your advice?
@KojiCO-ConvinceM4 жыл бұрын
Natalie my advice is, audition, audition, audition, familiarise yourself with the business side of the industry, Bear in mind names and locations of companies and organisations and studios. If you truly want this, wasting time on other endeavours is pointless, find your strengths, play to them. We cannot all be a polymath, not in the beginning, get involved with the acting classes and groups, reach out to other contacts and surround yourself with other actors who are hoping and looking for the same goals as yourself. Encompass yourself within stories scripts movies and practice, practice, practice. Hope this has been a small amount of help, as for me it’s challenging, but still trying LOL 😄 but I’m in the UK, and it’s focused but not as focused as LA or New York different environment here if you’re not from the UK and it’s difficult to give advice in regards to those places that I’ve not attended myself for acting.

I don't know what i am capable of :) i have tried to ignore the passion for acting for 28 years :))) that's why now i try to- a. Film some sort of acting scene everyday or every few days, at least a voiceover, and b. Study languages! English and spanish every day at leasttt a few new words to the vocabulary. I want to discover what i am capable of. That's what my channel is for 😆 P.s. and of course! I want to take acting classes! With no doubt!

Anastasia, I don't know what you've been doing in the past year, but we should push each other to keep having faith that it could happen for us. I wasn't even aware of how much passion I have for acting till I realized it in second year of film school. Before that I somehow always found myself in acting courses. From drama class in school to student short films. I hope that someday I'll be able to see you on an show or film. Keep having faith in yourself!

One SAG actress told you post cards don't work. Doesn't mean they don't work. The best way keeping in contact with that agent is by asking them what's the best way to keep in contact.

Marketing is cumulative. You send the postcards announcing the jobs you book. Do you also Email them your materials. Do showcases with them. (Online for now) Follow them on social media. CD's, agents and Managers need so much ego soothing and boosting (each month!!) it makes actors lose half the time in licking their ass not to mention a lot of their money.
