The way I see it, the TVA and He Who Remains actually just isolated MCU-616/199999 (according to the Illuminati and Spider-Society’s Reality Designation Systems respectively) from the rest of the Multiverse. Essentially, what this means is that, at least until He Who Remains’ suicide by Loki Variant, the other universes that might have appeared at the beginning of the Multiverse and their branches might have been unable to interact with MCU-616/199999 and vice versa. One example of this phenomenon could be the events of Into and Across the Spider-Verse. The team of Spider-Totems in Into the Spider-Verse never interact with MCU-616/199999. Fast forward about a year and four months and we see MCU Prowler in the Spider-Society’s Energy Cocoons. I think that Into the Spider-Verse takes place sometime before the death of He Who Remains. Now that the MCU can branch, the Spider-Society can extract Variants from there for whatever they need them for.

Perhaps for as where variants are within the Quantum Realm, they are always there but are only seen by people in other universes when in areas where there is a pull from other universes such as around the core in Quantumania (as it was used to cross universes) and thats how the Probability Storm works. Maybe this is explains Ghost's powers as she is interacting with versions of herself (Quantum Entanglement) which is what makes her glitch out and be out of phase as you said almost like the inverse of America Chavez. When the firefighters first find her she is both there and not there like Schrodinger's cat which was also how MODOK described Probability Storms to Scott. I think it would be a great explanation of her powerset as Ghost was one of my most hyped characters to return in Thunderbolts and could lead to a redemption arc in Kang Dynasty or Secret Wars as a very left field Nexus Being that no one would see coming.

Everything was spot on, but i still don't think there is only 1 quantum realm, because to me it just makes so much sense if there are multiple because it allows for kang's time travel(/banishment) to be branching instead of rewriting, which fits with Endgame

I guess that since the Kang Council was outside of time and shot Kang into a realm that is outside of time, very odd things happen. In the books description it says it will tell us about the formation of the multiverse, so surely that means some concrete multiverse and time travel rules. I think in the films and tv shows they will deliberately keep it vague, so that everyone who was different opinions can believe that they are correct, but if you want a concrete answer, you can dive deeper and look at the book

I think that ‘He Who Remains’ sent his variants somewhere we don't know yet, and when Sylvie killed him the variants broke free, just like when Odin died and Hela broke free from her exile. Hopefully we’ll know more about it in Loki S2.

42:48 The Citadel exist beyond the Void. We saw the Void in Loki. We should also outline that theres multiple things that exist outside of space & time. 1. Quantum Realm 2. The Void 3. The place beyond the void where the Citadel sits which is probably still a part of the Void.

Great video as always. I wasn't that bothered by Ms. Marvel because it seemed to operate by Agents of SHIELD's other method of time travel they used before season 7 (using the monolith). It seems like there are ways to travel back in your own timeline, but anything you do will have already happened because the flow of time is an illusion. The best illustration of this is Simmons's experiment where she drank the correct three out of four beakers without knowing which one would kill her. (The only exception is when Daisy actually breaks that rule at the end of the season, which I don't like.) EDIT: I did just have a long conversation about this on your discord and it should be noted that technically season 5 never used these rules, it just misled the viewer to believe they were the rules

Yeah, I agree, the Ms. Marvel time travel isn't my favorite, but I also think it was very contained and specific to the bangles and to her personal history. As for the AoS time travel, it continually confused me. But I did at least like in S7 when Fitz used the quantum realm to get everyone back to their main timeline. That was awesome. Man thanks so much for this video. At first, after Quantumania, I was a little confused. And then, the more that I thought about it, the more confusing it got. This video for me explains it all. It all makes sense, the only thing that I think hasn’t been confirmed is what happened to the three Kangs after the first multiversal war. That is quite confusing and my main source of confusion. Other than that though, it has all been explained. Again, this was a fantastic video.

I think that I possibility would be that the Kangs were stuck at the end of time in a hope for Alioth to take to them out. However, they survived somehow (maybe because they knew more about Alioth than the other Kangs and knew to hide with the Lokis?) and were hiding and came back, assembling the Kang council of Kangs all over the universes and taking over the TVA to allow for more and more Kangs. This is just a theory and has some gaps like how they survived Alioth but I like this theory and might be sticking to it for a while until proven wrong.

I was so confused until the visual image. It helps a lot. Thank you for that. I still wanna understand why Kang appeared to Janet at that specific moment. My theory is he was already there and saw an opportunity in Janet. Not a great theory, but it's what I choose to believe. My other theory is that it wasn't Kang who appeared at that time but Janet who happened to cross paths with him at the same time of the other Kangs exiling him. Anyway, I'm not entirely convinced by any of that but it being a place outside of time and space the rules are not clear enough. Maybe it was just fate them meeting each other. We see it as if Janet went into the quantum realm in 1987 and Kang in some other point in time but maybe both things were happening at the same time. I'm confused and I want answers. lol

Im preatty sure the Kang in the quantum realm got exiled after he who remains dies. Basically he is part of the second multiverse. Then it would me make sese cause he just got exiled at that point. Also my theory is that the exiled Kang will become he who remains. In ant mam 3 he basically shows us his plan for rge sacred timeline and his motivations are exactly the ones of he who remains. Also in Loki he who remains said that if they kill him, his variants will start anothe multiversal war, he will be created again because of the multiverse and its all gonna play out the same. So basically its a loop of multiversal war, he who remains, Sylvy killing he who remains, multiversal war and so on..

The reason if feels like it happened during the first multiversal war is Kang shows up in the QR at a point before Endgame had occurred in Janet's timeline. So if Janet had left the QR in 2018 and told everyone about Kang, it could have prevented the situation that led to the time heist, which created Loki, which resulting in HWR's death, which led to the 2nd multiversal war. It seems like there is a cause an effect relationship to Kang's banishment and Endgame due to Janet meeting him prior to Endgame happening. But just a theory on my part. The relationship between the Kang council which is outside of time and Janet, who is inside time, is very confusing indeed. Thanks so much for watching the vid and sharing your thoughts. After watching Quantumania the second time, I feel as if Kang was aware of everything such as He Who Remains and wanted Scott to use the Pym particles on the time engine so he would forge with the time engine and become a true master of time or maybe where he is able to harness Alioth. I also think He Who Remains will turn out to be Iron Lad as he seems to be the most heroic of the Kang’s we’ve seen so far. It would be awesome for Iron Lad to team up with the Avengers and eventually take up the persona of HWR living a lonely life preventing his variants from ever existing.

Yes, I've been wondering about that theory on the exiled Kang "dying". It would explain alot about why Kang was defeated if perhaps he wasn't actually defeated, per se, and it was what he wanted to have happen all along to gain additional power and also to appear to be dead to the Kang council. Hello! I think this is the first time I've watched and listened to one of your videos! Bravo, bravo sir! I've listened to the entirety of your video more than several times at work overnight into this morning. Among the best MCU story telling and recaps I've ever heard. The way you paced things in a simple and easy to understand way and keeping the story fascinating, exciting and tense. I loved how you went way back to Thor: The Dark World and showed how Erik Selvig explained and broke down the multiverse on a chalkboard when people thought he was nuts. I agreed with almost all your theories save one involving He Who Remains. When he explained about 'that first variant who found Alioth. I've watched Loki episode 6 over again more than any other Disney+ show. I believe that He Who Remains was speaking of himself in a first or second person way. I believe that He Who Remains is that first variant who encountered Alioth and experimented on it and harnessed it's power. Just think of Revenge of the Sith when Chancellor Palpatine told Anakin the story about Darth Plagueis the Wise and how Palpatine explained later in the story how Darth Plagueis's apprentice killed him in his sleep. Palpatine was obviously the apprentice but never said straight out that he was the one who killed his master in his sleep. Because in a later meeting between Palpatine and Anakin, Palpatine told Anakin he could show him the subtleties of the Force. Anakin asked "You know the Force?" Palpatine replied "My master showed me everything about the Force, even the nature of the dark side."

As for the HWR theory, the only reason I wondered if there could be something we were supposed to learn from that part of his speech is because HWR was so narcissistic that I suspect he would have said "I" in every instance where he personally did something. So the fact that he said "a variant" really stood out to me. But it's just a guess that it meant it was the exiled Kang. Okay this is something I debated with friends for weeks, in Doctor Strange the “multiverse” was a stand in for dimensions. It’s used interchangeably. The Dark Dimension is part of the multiverse. So I always figured there was a SINGULAR universe with multiple dimensions. After Loki what I figured was since HWR death that affected all of time, thus creating alternate timeslines(universes).So in hindsight the use of the word multiverse before still works. It’s a cool idea, and nice we can have debates like this.

Great feedback. Yes, it's important to note that the video is just theories trying to put everything together, so there is definitely much room for debate, as you note. The reason I think Feige's interview when Dr. Strange came out indicates that we did have parallel realities at that point in the MCU is because he said this: "I think when comic book fans hear parallel dimensions or multiple dimensions they think of Earth 616 and Earth 617 and Earth 618. That’s all possible. But what we’re playing with in this world is there are dimensions - that the other dimensions are not just parallel realities, although some of them are, but there are the Dark Dimension where Dormammu inhabits; there are dimensions that are so mind-bending that you can barely perceive them; there are dimensions where a lot of the Ditko images come from; there are dimensions that are just mind trips that the human mind can barely fathom which is why it’s hard to turn them into something to show audiences in November. But we’re playing as much with the notion of the multiverse as much as alien dimensions, for lack of a better term, than parallel realities where there’s Strange that wears Iron Man armor". It's a long quote, but I think the most important piece is when Feige said that the dimensions are not just parallel realties, although some of them are. So he's saying the multiverse at the time of Dr. Strange included parallel realities. Hopefully we can get a more definitive answer to the state of the multiverse prior to He Who Remains death, but if you add in Waldron's quote, it seems like HWR was fine with there being parallel realities, as long as they didn't create a Kang. He said that "If you zoomed in on the timeline, it wouldn’t necessarily look like a straight line. It might look like almost the intertwined strands of a rope fluctuating and spiking here and there. When it becomes a problem for the TVA is when, according to their own rules, when could something branch off in a way that it could actually produce a new timeline that could produce a new version of He Who Remains? That is the practical thing that they’re guarding against." Anyway, all just theories on my part taking into account the quotes they've given us plus the info from the movies/shows. I think the quantum realm is somewhat geographic, that's why when you leave you come back into your universe, and why you don't meet any other Scott langs and Janet van dynes that are down in the quantum realm because they're geographically under their universe, maybe you could find them if you traveled far enough

Sorta like how the probability field showed as all of the Scott's at once, but outside of that field, we only saw one. I wonder if somehow that's tied into it. I feel like Mordo found out the hard way. I never considered him to be evil. He was right about everything he warned would happen. Wong also warned Strange, and the Ancient One warned Bruce. It seems that magical beings exert a different force on the timeline. It’s been magic wielders that are both the most concerned and the most dangerous to time and the fabric of reality itself. The two Loki’s are magic wielders that are exerting their will or intent upon the time line. Loki and Sylvie, decided they would survive and then clasped hands, uniting their will into one and due to their powers combining, the spike goes wild because they are introducing chaos magic or mathematics into the system, thus driving the end of that timeline and speeding up the entropy to chaos or enthalpy, which is the decay rate or death of the system. Anytime they combine their will, the ramp up the chaotic energy and create an equal force, which is Kang and his variants. They’re Order and Loki’s are Chaos. You need both for equilibrium. But what happens when Chaos drives order and Order drives chaos? Loki is now exerting Order, along with Renslayer, while Timely and Sylvie are now representing Chaos. I figure Victor will spagettify into the timeline and cause 616 Kang to rise. HWR is Timely and Kang. He’s just completing his loop. It’s all him, and always has been.

Correction: Christine's immediate death could not have been an absolute point in time, because she is alive in 616, strange did become a sorcerer. I think the absolute event was that strange could not end up with Christine. And the universe was prepared to kill her final destination style to ensure that happened if strange was so stubborn that he insisted on being with her.

@@AbitofEverything4U unfortunately after rewatching Loki (without rose tinted glasses) it’s nowhere near as good as first believed and full of its own narrative failures & then there’s MoM disappointment (and I’m someone who very much liked both projects for entertainment) but as a story they’re admittedly some of the worst in the entire franchise, I now have zero faith in those writers to be able to pull together a coherent tight narrative that could actually service the lead characters let alone everyone else that’ll be involved in them and the overall story it’s presenting, now after the disaster that is Antman3 I just can’t even begin to get behind Rick & Morty writers trying to present not just one but two Avengers films successful, they clearly love a sandbox of doing whatever the hell a plot for a 20 minute episodes that requires no continuity or consequences but nobody actually stops for a moment and says “Rick & Morty is top quality content” 😔

KZbin Recommended a couple hours ago. I put the video on loop kept falling asleep from drowsiness and had a dream about the world slowly dying in 2 days due to an incursion. When I look up at the sky, I see a large status of how much time everyone have left. Loving this video because I have been working this out and sharing my theories as well. I’m in agreement with almost everything you said except the 2nd multiversal war. I’m not sure if this is going to be the 2nd war or the same one He Who Remains described. I think it will be the same one which is why He says says he will end up right back there at the citadel. I think he met Loki and possibly even Sylvie much earlier in his existence and he remembers that. That’s why he plucked them from their timelines. He did that so that Loki could go back and find him and tell him the story that he told them at the end of time. He programmed that tempad before setting it on the desk for Sylvie to send Loki back. He is at the end of time doing what has to be done to make sure he becomes He Who Remains. The younger version of HWR will then know that he needs to weaponize Alioth and isolate the timeline in order to conquer all. He’s giving himself the blueprint by giving it to Loki first. He needed to make sure he put enough fear in Loki to set him on his mission to find HWR. He may have seen that there was no way to get around Sylvie killing him at the end of time. It’s wild!

This was the first video in a long time. I watched from start to finish, 54 minutes straight. This is my first time to your channel. I agree with the way you presented all the information. I’ve had the same thought as this video is had for a while now. A part of me thinks that “he who remains” and “Kang the conqueror”, are one in the same person. He said something during the series Loki that said “come on now, you have to go through the experience to be changed”. I wonder if he wasn’t talking to Loki and Sylvie, but was he talking about himself. Maybe when he got sucked into that time Vortx in Ant-Man 3 it changed his perspective about winning the war. I’d be willing to go so far to say the first Multiverse of war Kang had the help of the Multi-verseall Avengers, along with America Chavez and The Watcher. We will have to wait and see. As these movies progress, I would like to see you add on to this video. Kind a like an up-to-date video of the Multiverse War.

I think a good explanation for the What If Quantum Realm conundrum is that in the sacred timeline, Our 616 Janet traveled in, and exited the Quantum Realm with the virus, therefore creating the branch. This also lines up with Endgame, our heroes traveling into the quantum realm and exiting into another universe.

ANd you are right. Steve 616 travelled through time, that is, through the multiverse, because time-travel IS multiversal transit in the MCU. Doom's space-time platform (seen in LOKI and Doctor Strange ITMOM used by Reed Richards) is also a Multiversal transporter. And Doom's tech is the basis for everything Nathaniel Richards of the 31st century and all his variants (inc. He Who Remains and all the Kangs) and the TVA does. Maybe in the alternate timeline where Steve 616 was happy with Peggy, after she died, he met up with Hank Pym or Tony Stark and used their crude form of time-travel/multiversal transit... or maybe he met someone smarter with a more elegant means of returning Rogers to his own universe... I wonder if Captain America was the cause of an Incursion?

Oooh it's like the speed force saving a version of thawne so Barry can happen. Fitz explained that the timeline that they travel to is in between universes and once he returned the stones , the universe was safe the whole time even tho they took them for .01 seconds and he stayed 70 years in between time so when he went back , he went to his timeline without hulks pad

2:10 congrats you discovered fractals apart from that the video was pretty interesting I wouldn't bet too much on Secret Wars rebooting stuff based on the name alone. We've seen what they did with the Age of Ultron that lasted a couple hours and the Infinity War that lasted a day.

And yeah, I agree, we can't count on the comics as too much of a guide to how the movies will go, but I suspect several of the same themes from the Secret Wars comic will be present. The MCU has multiple universes, an ever-growing number of incursions, an all powerful Kang on the horizon, and the need to bring in the X-men and mutants from another universe...so I can imagine some of the elements of Secret Wars being present. Amazing video and analysis’s like always ❤ I have a few questions though, the answers might be obvious or even confirmed, but they have still always stumbled me. 1. When the TVA pruned (reset) a branches timeline, what happens to the people that create the branches? For example, in Loki, what would have happened if he was pruned? Would a clone of him have just respawned back to where he was before he made the branching decision (to steal the tesseract)? Surely someone would have noticed that, even Loki himself appearing out of thin air, and surely that would have created another branch. Or, if the entire timeline gets pruned, surely that would take a long time considering how slow it was represented in the show. And how would an entire timeline or universe fit inside the void at the end of time? 2. In Loki, they use the term timeline a lot, and in multiverse of madness they use the term multiverse (multiple universes) a lot. Are timelines and universes the same? I always thought that while watching Loki they were two different things, but then he who remains just muffled up my entire perception on it. If they are the same, why do the writers make such an effort to pronounce them as distinct as they do in the seperate shows and movies? And 3, I know this one is probably likely to have a distinct answer but It’s been a while since I’ve watched Loki, and both times I watched it I didn’t understand it. How does/did he who remains prevent all the branched timelines (or universes if they are the same), if all he was doing was sitting in his citadel. If it was the tva, how does that relate to kang? Did they prune the kang variants? Then how come they haven’t taken over the void at the end of time? How did Sylvie killing him at that time release all the variants? And does this directly affect kang in quantumania? Also, if timelines are the same as the multiverse, how does the ending of Loki affect what if, DS 2 and other multiverse related MCU content. And are the kang variants just multiversal variants (I forgot the word) of the original kang? Great content as always, keep it up!

Great questions. I'll try my best to answer them based on what I know and/or what I'm theorizing. 1. I'm not sure what happens in the original universe regarding the nexus event if a branch is pruned, but I might guess it would go like this. First, we have to figure out the exact decision that is the nexus event. For Loki, I'll assume it's his decision to pick up the tesseract and use it. So the moment he has it in his hands and thinks "I'm outta here" there is a new branch. We were actually watching the new branch at the point where Loki vanished and we hear people saying "where did Loki go". So that branch and that decision point were ultimately pruned by the TVA. Back in the original branch (i.e. the one that wasn't pruned), I suspect Loki picked it up and decided not to use it or someone grabbed it or something like that. So there was no impact on the original branch as that branch follows the other decision path. 2. I wish they hadn't used the same terms over and over like universe and timeline. But remember the quote I included from Michael Waldron in the video...he said the multiverse and timelines were the same. As to why the are referred to differently, my guess is it is based on why the universe was created. If it was spawned from time travel, they call it an alternate timeline. If it was spawned by an nexus event, they call it a universe. But it's kinda a "you say to-may-to, I say to-mah-to" situation. Both created a new universe. 3. I think Kang was feeding the logic into the computers the TVA was using so he controlled what was and what wasn't considered a nexus event. If a nexus event didn't create a new Kang, he could care less and he let it go and thus the TVA wasn't aware of it. Also, he likely sent "fake" nexus events if he just wanted something to happen differently than it would have otherwise. I don't think there was a real nexus event on Lamentis and that instead, HWR was like "oh crap, they're gonna die" and he sent a false signal of a nexus event so that the TVA showed up to rescue them. Then, when HWR died, there was no longer something sending the algorithm to the TVA and now mullions of actual nexus points showed up when previously they only saw the limited number HWR wanted them to see...so there were far more than they could handle. This in turn led to lots of new Kangs popping up. All just theories, but that's where my head is on them right now. Hope that helps. Thanks so much for watching the vid and sharing your thoughts. LOL! Yes, that's certainly possible. Although I do think that while Marvel ran before they could walk in the early days of the multiverse (i.e Thor: TDW easter eggs, Dr. Strange 1 quotes from Feige, even Endgame time travel rules to some extent), I do believe that by the time of Loki that the writers had tried to reign everything in and come up with the overall outline for the entire multiverse saga. @A bit of Everything @Here's my issue: with the multiverse and Quantum realm... they SAY things are different, but they're NOT. Everything works in the quantum real just like it does in the real world. They have bars, music, cities...EVERYTHING like we have in the real world. Their tech works the exact same way. They're smaller than atoms, but they can still grow and shrink? Maybe their tech should have worked differently or been unpredictable. The multiverse makes NO SENSE! What did Dr Strange REALLY set up? They already showed that the Watcher can and will get involved...WHERE IS HE? Why are you giving me 27 Kangs? GIVE ME ONE! And after ALL of this, am I really gonna care about the Skrulls? What's REALLY going on?

Yeah, I totally agree that Phase 5 needs to start pulling the story together for us. Phase 4 laid out alot of building blocks, so now they need to build something coherent going forward. I do agree that the Quantum Realm surprised me in how much it looked and acted like the real world, but I guess that's not impossible to believe. Life tends to form everywhere, and so a city in the QR isn't that far out of the question. But your overall point is very valid...the story needs to start coming together now. Fans are waiting for answers and they are getting restless. That said, I do think we're going to enjoy the ride ahead. There are so many cool directions for Marvel to go from here!

One thing I thought about towards the end: It could be that the Council of Kangs who speak of the "exiled one" in the quantumania mid-credits are the ones that exiled Kang The Conqueror, and not "new ones". He Who Remains died, making it possible for all the Kang variants to appear - including Rama Tut, Immortus, Scarlet Centurion AND Kang. The issue here then becomes Janet meeting Kang in the quantum realm before The Avengers time traveled. Why didn't she tell her family that Kang was down there? Maybe that was in another timeline? Then again, your explanation makes more sense, I think. All of this could also just be explained later, OR be a flaw in the writing.

Yeah, I am most curious to know if I got the flow of the three kangs and the exiled Kang correct. That was honestly the trickiest par to to nail down. I think the first iteration of them exiled Kang and then HWR did something to those three. They might have been banished or trapped somewhere. But his death likely freed them and they for some reason blame the exiled one. At least it seems that's what happened. I hope Loki S2 clarifies it for us and answers some questions. Really well explained video, you clearly took a lot of time to make sure all your facts were accurate and took a lot of really good sources from the writers. As for the Quantum Realm, it's really confusing with what happened in What If...? I always thought about the Quantum Realm as one single space in all multiverses because of 2 reasons: 1) If it wasn't, does that mean that Kang the Conqueror is 616? It certainly made it seem like he was from another universe, and if the council of Kangs were to exile another Kang, it certainly seems like our 616 heroes could definitely encounter them. 2) It's literally used to travel between timelines, it just doesn't make sense that every universe would have its own quantum realm. I believe that Hulk didn't have to reset the branch when traveling back to speak to the Ancient One because it was inconsecuential towards the future of the timeline. If you remove the infinity stones from a timeline, that's a big deal, needs fixing. If you travel to a desert using the Tesseract when you should've been arrested, that's a big deal, needs fixing. If you simply have a conversation that doesn't need to be mentioned again, that's not such a big deal anymore, no need to fix that one specifically.

Great comments! Yes, I really feel there has to be only one QR, even though it's hard to make it work with the What If story. But I think the QR is perhaps able to keep the same person from other universes from crossing paths with themselves. It is quite a crazy realm, so it must just work out that way. I would love a video on your thoughts about who the MCU Kang’s ancestor is because I am honestly not convinced nor really want them to make him an ancestor of Reed Richards. I know in the comics that’s his backstory but for the MCU I am simply not convinced that they will keep it. I would love for his MCU ancestry to be MCU specific. I would think if they make him a ancestor of Tony Stark then it would be an interesting full circle. Tony sacrificed his life for the world and his descendant Kang wants to control the entirety of the multiverse

Yeah, you raise a great point. We can't assume that Kang is an ancestor of Reed (i.e. Nathanial) just because of the comics. Making him an ancestor of Stark would be fascinating. However, there is a rumor that they may cast an African American actor as Reed Richards in 616 and if so, that could be an indication that Kang is a distant relative of his after all. i think that some instances involving time travel dont create branching universes. Branches are caused when something that isnt supposed to happen happens, but in endgame it could be argued that taking and returning the stones was supposed to happen. Cap going back in time and staying with peggy was supposed to happen. since in the end they didnt really change the timeline theres no need for it to get pruned. this would best explain how old man cap was there to give bucky the shield and would mean that the shield isnt making an incursion. Video was amazing, just thought id throw in my own idea about time travel and branching universes

Great feedback. I do agree that some time travel, such as in Ms. Marvel, is a closed loop and thus had always happened. However, I suspect that in Endgame's time travel that it created branches. Consider all the craziness that happened, such as Cap saying "Hail, Hydra", Cap fighting himself, Cap telling Cap that Bucky is alive, etc. Those things definitely didn't always happen in 616 and would have drastically altered history. So they had to be in a branch, imo. I also think Cap would have been unable to live out life in 616 and not want to prevent all the tragedies he knew would happen. But I do agree with you that not all time travel creates branches, if it is a closed loop situation. I have a note to add: It's possible that Reed Richards has a flawed and incomplete understanding of what causes incursions. It's not the presence of someone in another universe -- It's the transfer of information across the boundary between univerese which is what causes the incursion. Sending information across the boundary can be risky if done in an uncontrolled way, leading to a tear in the boundary. This would lead to the universes basically merging, with objects from one universe spilling over into the other. Some ways to transfer information between universes included physically traveling between those universes, or dream walking.
