+parkplace6677 Just as you probably believe that Russia is being corrupted by media and propaganda, so are you. You need to be careful about what you believe, and what you stand for. Remember that all sides do unscrupulous things, including our glorious country over here in the states. I don't know who or what gave you that horrible, horrible fantasy of systematically killing innocent people, but I hope that you will someday find peace. Russia isn't nearly as bad as you think. You will never truly know what it is like unless you either take information from both sides, or you experience it first hand. Russia isn't perfect, and I personally do not like the politicians over there right now, but I have respect for them. You don't have to hate someone just because you disagree with them. I feel as though you are extremely misinformed about Russia and the way the country works as a whole. They've gone through some hard times. Glad not all Americans think about Russia stereotypes. Television in Russia and in the United States put each other as enemies. But ordinary Russian people do not believe the propaganda and not think Americans are enemies. We do not want war. Ordinary Russian people want to live in peace with all countries, to work, to love, to create families and raise children, to realize their dreams. The simple Russian people want the same thing ordinary Americans. Therefore it makes no sense to quarrel. Do not believe politicians and TV - believe your experience.
@tigo83416 жыл бұрын
Yeah, first enemies. After aiding and investing in Russia during the early and mid 90s, russian politicians and other officials made off like bandits while what little progressed that had been made collapsed into the 1998 financial crisis. My dad was there, he lost a lot of money for the sake of the russian 'Mom and Pop corner grocery', the American opportunity for the average hard working russian. Then along comes pro-Soviet midget putin and blames it all on capitalism. And who is the number 1 capitalist in the world? America, so blame America. Russia failed at communism and it failed at capitalism. But don't blame russian corruption, the complete lack of rule of law, or the fact that ordinary russians are actually not hard working at all, who never do any more than what's necessary, who never go above and beyond for their own sake, no, blame America! Well fuck you then, russia. If you're just gonna blame others for your own short-comings then you should've just stayed hidden behind your scardy-cat iron curtain. You're the most boring ass people in the world anyway.

Someday I would be enamored visit your motherland, especially the "Venice of the North" St. Petersburg (particularly to see the Hermitage Museum, nightlife, Nevsky Prospect, and the colonnaded Winter palace with it's ornate foundions etc) and to experience the rural scene of traditional Russian living. Normally most folk with healthy cognitive faculties and a intact amygdala would immediately be put off by the doomsday prospect of conflict or an arms race, but we are unfortunately living in a contentious time with psychopaths in our embedded in Congress (and Duma) with their own personal agendas. First my name is Doug and I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my post. When I was in the US Army (1988-1992) Russia were the enemy and we trained to fight Russia, but when the wall came down, it changed everything. I was able to work with a couple Russians during my time in the military and this is what I learned. I absolutely love the Russians. You take away the uniforms and there is no difference. The 2 I worked with were my age and their want and likes were no different than mine for the most part and like with me, the US were ever bit the enemy to them as they were to us, with that said, I could not imagine or see Russia as my enemy now and personally, I would have no qualms over laying my life on the line for a Russian. The Russian people have had a taste of freedom, a freedom they won't easily give up, and if it came to it, me personally, I would fight along side any Russian to help them keep that FREEDOM.

Doug Brown, Jr wait no disrespect or anything, but if the U.S and Russia were in a direct war with eachother would you support America or Russia? (Im African-American btw)
@dougbrownjr10097 жыл бұрын
Laser Bullet as I said, I was in the Army so my first loyalty would be to the US, and it may seem cliche, and I know that, but that is the straight forward answer. And as I said, I don't see us in a direct conflict with Russia, with that said, I would have no problems laying down my life for my Country and I am almost certain if you pose that same question to a Russian, their answer my be similar. If hostilities were to break out, open warfare were break out involving the US and Russia, i, based on what I have read (I'm American and would fight for my Country, but I don't trust our media, THAT IS JUST SAD. So I use out side sources and one of those sources is actually Russia, how's that for irony), Russian and American troops will be fighting alongside each other, more than likely in North Korea and if that happens, China, another so called enemy, will be right there with us and Russia. I hope this answers your question and thank you for your reply.

Doug Brown, Jr The entire world's media is completely available in the U.S. because our country does not censor any of it. Yet out of all that world media at your disposal you choose to use Russian media, one of the most media censored countries in the world? Do you not understand the sort of information a censored country would put out there?

ᏙᎠ ᎠᎰᏚᏟᎾᎡᎠᏙᏁᎢᎰᏙ ᏚᏤᏚᎢᎬᎷᏙ ᏁᎾᏚ ᏚᏙᏞᎢᏙᎢᎾᏒᎰᏴᏌᏚ yes I do, I also know exactly what it is like to have a media that is openly trying to sway the public to their own political ideals, but I was going mostly off personal experience, but I do not only watch US and Russian news, I try to get as much information as I can from multiple news agencies. As I said, as a Veteran from the end of The Cold War Era, we were trained to hate Russia and vice-versa, but when I began training with Russian soldiers, I found out that most Russian Soldiers my age had many of the same things in common and that Russia was not this American Hating entity I thought and I fear Putin may be trying to take Russia back to that era. And though I might take some heat over this, one of the reasons I voted for Trump was the fact that Hillary and British Prime Minister were talking about open warfare with Russia, for bullshit reasons. Anyway, I thank you for your reply and I hope you have good day.

If you're looking for a comment you've come to the wrong place, but if your looking for an outstanding pie recipe you've come to the right place. Ingredients: 1. 6 tablespoons unsalted butter 2. 1/2 cup white sugar 3. 1/2 cup brown sugar 4. 1/4 cup water 5. 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 6. 1 pinch salt 7. 5 apples - peeled, cored and sliced 8. 1 pastry for double-crust pie Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). 2. Combine butter, white sugar, brown sugar, water, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and set aside. 3. Roll out half the pastry to fit a 9-inch pie plate. Place bottom crust in pie plate; pour in apple slices. 4. Roll out top crust into a 10-inch circle. Cut into 8 (1-inch) wide strips with a sharp paring knife or pastry wheel. Weave the pastry strips, one at a time, into a lattice pattern. Fold the ends of the lattice strips under the edge of the bottom crust and crimp to seal. 5. Pour butter-sugar mixture over top of pie, coating the lattice, and allowing any remaining sauce to drizzle through the crust. 6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and bake until the crust is golden brown, the caramel on the top crust is set, and the apple filling is bubbling, 35 to 40 more minutes. Allow to cool completely before slicing.

I think that in fact it is the educational atitude towards Russia that truly needs to be taught abou honesty. Russia in the whole of its history has NEVER done any harm to America, and the totally open lies that have been enforced within the educational system needs to put an end to this atitude once and for all. I often wonder if America were to wake up to find that for the length of America both sides there were russian submarines fully armed and pointing into America, just what would they feel like. This is the situation for all Russians, America has totally ignored the treaty it signed and also has ingnored any agreement made with Russia from day one. Russia is containd within the boarders of Russia and has only one base outside of those boarders, it is the paid for base in Syria, other than that they have no other bases, so put against the near 2000 bases of America all over the world, and all eitger pointing at Russi or China, it is hardly surprising that Russian people do not feel safe, and tbey have every reason to feel that way. At the end of the last war there was a treaty signed as a member of NATO that read that no member nation of Nato would move their boarders one inch from the present one at that time. America ignored this and decided to surround Russia, when asked why misslises were pointing at Russia they were told that they were not they were there to keep an eye on the middle east, a total lie made by Bush America then accuses Russia of agression, and despite the request for information shedding some light on the accusation, nothing is forthcoming from America, only the same accusation. In fact, America is most certainly the aggressor, ask any country in the middle east such as Iraq, Iran, Syria, Afganistan, Yeman Lybia, the list goes on. Therefore it is the perposely made up lie by America that has created this fear in Russia, and with very good reason. It seems that the younger people who are more aware that their country is neither honest with other countries, but is not honest with its own people. The accusation of any agression by Russia as far as the Ukraine is concerned, it should be noted that it was America who paid a bribe of five billion dollars to start conflict within this country, this was openly admitted by Victoria Newland in her now world famous phone call to a member of another countries government telling them who America was going to put into power after they had toppelled the legal government. It should be remembered who it was who paid the bribe and continues to pay and supply arms and amunition to perpetuate tbe conflict in which east Ukraine is undergoing total genocide by west Ukraine. Despite the ongoing lie that Russia is involved in this conflict has been observed to be a lie by many observers sent there by their own country and have seen for themselves that indeed Russia is in no way involved. All it has done is allow refugees from the area into Russia and supplied food and medical assistance. The shooting down of the aircraft belonging to Malaysia, was firstly blamed on the Russians, but was proved beyond any doubt to be a lie, It was then blamed on the people of East Ukraine , who have no aircraft, in the end the truth was it was west Ukraine who shot it down and to pilot was decorated for doing so, even though the aircraft he was after was tbe flight carrying the president of Russia, but this had flown past nearly an hour before hand . The company who own the plane to this day have been denied access to the flight box despite many attempts to retrieve it. The truth was that it was shot down using a sidewinder missile something that Russia has not got and neither does the seperatives of east Ukraine. There have been a whole bucket full of lies told by America to its own people and the rest of the world concerning this conflict, when in fact much of the real truth About this conflict can be found on the internet, including the facts about two totally legal referendums held one by the people of the Crimea who voted to rejoin Russia, and the other by the people of East Ukraine to become independant, both of these held strictly within the wording of how it should be done according to both NATO and the U.N.. The real truth is that America wanted to get the Ukraine into the common market, but tbe requirements by the E.U. were such that it would have been depremental for the Ukraine to join under the conditions put up by the E,U. The reaon America wanted the Ukraine in the common market was so that they would become part of nato, thus allowing America to put yet another base on the Russia boarder, America in fact had no interest in the welbeing of the people of Ukraine what so ever, as can be seen by the falling state of the standard of living even in west Ukraine, America supplies arms and amunitions but does not supply any help in the way of food. Clearly the people of east Ukraine will never want to become part of tne Ukraine after the one sided conflict assisted by America. When asked, most people in America if asked tbe name of the first capital of Russia would tell you that it was Moscow, but they would be wrong, because the first capital city of Russia was kiev, yes Kiev the capital city of the Ukraine, so Obamas statement that the conflict was nothing th do with Russia only showed tbe total lack of knowledge of either the polatics of Russia through history or of the standing of The Ukraine and Russia, sadly not too many Americans are aware of this history, and even less are aware of who started the conflict there and why. When the propaganda is swept away, America again has a lot to answer for , including the war crime supported by America during this conflict like that of Odessa where the local government because of their vote to rejoin Russia were herded together and locked in the townhall which was then set fire to, any one trying to escape the flames were shot. This is just one of the facts about this conflict kept very much away from the American people, in the same way the genocide taking place in East Ukraine, these people are not terrorists or rebels, tbey are the people who legally voted to become seperate and under self rule , and they try to do so following all, the guide lines of the U.N. and NATO.

There are bad men wherever you go. I don't think a lot of Americans have poor opinions about Russians - except perhaps the people who are looking for any excuse at their own failings in the last presidential election.

I think Americans are much more friendly towards russians, than all away around... This guys being so delicate and silly , when described russians, i simply couldn't stop laughing:) Sooo true: russians are very laud and russians in US have this heaviest recognizable accent ... They pushy and to be honest- rarely smiles, have bad temper, and very judgemental- It is what it is :) But they also have a big heart, they kind & sensitive, not aggressive, even when they look aggressive LOL . Great reliable friends, they always be there for you- to help, without asking anything in return, and that worth a lot !

I traveled around the world and I've never had any problems with communication. I always interested in other cultures and have friends in different parts of the world. Also, I know a lot of people from Russia who can tell the same. Of course in Russia you can find a lot of 'bad people' like everywhere else, actually. It's not about nationality or race. People in the video are really nice. It's so great that they shared their good experience.

Dream Catcher, this is a stereotype, not all Russians have bad accents (nobody ever could guess my), not all Russians are bad tempered, nor all are loud, actually Russians most often quiet compared to other countries. I've been in a bar full of Americans and it was so loud, I wanted to run away as far as possible. Judgemental, yeah, can't quite argue with that, although most of Russians are, there are people, about 30-40% of people I know who are not

I am from Russia and I can say that not all people here are rude, there are very cheerful and energetic. But, unlike Europe and America, people here are very gloomy in appearance, but inside they are vulnerable and kind, they will always help in a difficult situation, people here are humorous. There is very little sun in Russia, so many Russians do not get the hormone of happiness, 3 months of heat!! It's very frustrating, so many Russians leave for the winter in warm countries, but those with money. I really like America, I adore you as a people and I am very unhappy that your media thinks so badly about Russians. I am for Russia and America to be friends and help the world prosper, because there are all opportunities for this!

Negative stereotypes come straight from the Cold War period, where US and USSR were creating the image of each other as "rival aliens". In modern day, regardless of political affiliation, people can get real perspective about foreigners, an unbiased one. Anyway, I'm just saying that cartoonish stereotype of a Russian person (like in Bond movies or in The Man from U.N.C.L.E) slowly starts dying off.

I'm a little iffy on their government and political choices, but that doesn't stop me from admiring the works of Tchaikovsky, the elegant, yet colorful and fun architecture of the Kremlin, or the amazing contributions of science to the world.

The Media on both sides, blow everything out of proportion. Russian men and women are mostly fantastic people. The Russian women are gorgeous and the men are very cool. We Americans, love peaceful cultures and these people are awesome!
To be honest, I love them, I love most people in general. Now when you hear things from other countries and what they think of America, it's usually negative and they say stuff like people there are "fat" or "lazy" when that's what that specific person sees and not what it actually is. I'm very glad that us Americans like to view other countries positively since we have to deal with our own problems in our own country, so hearing what other people think is really heart warming and knowing that most Americans don't view other countries such as Russia as another enemy to despise.
@CrocJustice5 жыл бұрын
As for my opinion on this topic; The Russian People, including the Government of that country, is not my enemy! My enemy is a little closer to home! I am from Los Angeles Calif. and having been a longshoreman and drifter for about 20 years i have worked on Russian Vessels from mainly Siberia, met and worked with some grat people; good and bad people everywhere! My good friend Sergei Barkov , a Merchant Seaman on the Russian Ship Clara Cetkin was good people! Having been educated in the USA, or should i say mis-educated, my serious lessons were learned on my own! Examples being The Great Patriotic War(WWII); ie..Battle of Stalingrad, Kursk, etc..the great Military leaders, V. Chuikov, Timoshenko, Rokkosovsky, etc..a history very few westerners know anything about! I was lucky enough to have the gall to expand my own horizons and not wait in vain for someone to do it for me!

The Russians that I have met have all been incredible people. Intelligent, kind, thoughtful and more. I got into the most amazing debate with a Russian man in Sydney while I was in Australia. While we didn't agree we were simply fine with that. We had similar educations and focused on discussing things we didn't agree on. That was 10 years ago. We still email back and forth every week at least once. The one thing we adamantly agreed on? He would have been miserable in a Houston Texas summer. And I would be equally as miserable in a Yekaterinburg winter. LOL

Based on conversations I've had with Russian friends, it seems to me that, in general, Russians have a very strong sense of nationalism. As if they have something to prove. Something to prove *specifically* to Americans. Whether that something is military might, or their role in the world stage, or even something as petty as arguing why World War II was won in the first place. Some of my Russian friends seem to believe that Americans still view Russia as we did during the height of the Cold War. Which I can understand that if they know how our media portrays them. But that just causes them to resent us. I've done my best to show them that not all Americans think this way. In fact, I don't think I've ever met an American in all my life who still regards Russians as "evil commie bastards". At least one Russian friend seems to agree with me that patriotism is great, but extreme nationalism does nothing but cause animosity. I just want people to come together and stop fighting over petty things. All it does is hinder international cooperation and commerce. Like the current issues in the Middle East. One of my Russian friends didn't want Russia to do anything to help NATO countries because she believes that the terrorists we're fighting have nothing to do with Russia. She felt like it was our problem, and not the world's. It's a shame, really. But I guess people all over the world have acted this way towards each other ever since one could have a national identity in the first place.

@TimTDM5 жыл бұрын
I'm Russian. I am thankful that people do not view my nation like a vodka-drinking bear country. Many people almost never drink alcohol. Propaganda in Russia and the USA (and Europe) are pointing all sides against eachother. In Russia, many people love America and love English. Russians are ready to stand up for their country, and most are very patriotic and proud of their country. Most of us hate stereotypes. Our language is very hard, sorry guys. Russians want to live in peace. I personally cringe when people try to do Russian accents, and it gets really annoying when people think of us as an alien nation that is dumb, cold and just bad. Never believe politicians. Believe your experience. Politicians will only tell you what they want you to hear. I personally (and I think many Russians) try to be very respectful when it comes to stereotypes and accents. We are treated badly a lot around the world. Let's say there is a bad person from Russia, but that doesn't mean that all Russians are bad. Same with all nations. People say Russian swear words, like c*ka, and please don't do that. That is Russian for the bad way of saying female dog. It's not funny. But remember, all nations and countries have pros and cons.
