This is a great video and I do think it’s a professional production and FULLY comprehensive. Briefings like this are acceptable and for new pilots this is ok. However, briefing should be tailored to the audience and situation. A familiar crew member that you have flown with before and fly with regularly could use a shorter brief. Interacting with the other pilot more and seeking responses to questions that will check his / her understanding of your brief is a better way to ensure both parties are involved with the briefing and don’t get bored. Like “if we decide to abort the take off what will you say / do? At this point I will ……. One we have stopped I will be standing by with Evac checklist” etc etc …… A shorter briefing covering the “differences or points of the SID / STAR or leg” will be easier to follow. Some flights I fly are to airports I have never been to before and I only brief the specifics of if. Taxi routings I rarely brief apart from “I will exit the runway to the left on the second high speed, then follow instructions expecting to park in ……. area / apron” briefing a taxi route is often the best way to taxi the wrong way after conditioning your mind to follow a route you have discussed that might be totally wrong.

I have one question - Why do the screens keep blinking? While you were working on the FMC.

I’m pretty sure that in reality they’re always blinking but we can’t see it through our eyes, but the camera is able to pick it up. But not all screens/lights do that, that’s why others aren’t blinking if that makes sense.
