WHAT ARE MY PLANS FOR BELLE & FOAL?

Hey Horse Lovers! On 6/16/23 Belle gave birth to her MYSTERY FOAL at 1:15AM!!! We were so excited and overjoyed upon the foal's arrival! Belle had a beautiful filly and we decided to name her Esmeralda. Ezzy is bold, intelligent, kind, willing, and independent. We absolutely adore her and Belle! In this video I will talk about my thoughts and future plans regarding both Belle and Ezzy. This whole experience has been super special, and I am SO THANKFUL that Belle (and Ezzy) came into my life. For more back story information: in February, I purchased Belle from an auction and well... we discovered she was pregnant about 4 weeks later following a wellness exam and quarantine! We were completely shocked but also very happy. This will be our first foal ever born at Free Spirit Farm. Four years, plenty of time to make that big decision. . . and with beautiful Belle too. Your channel is growing and with so many viewers, should you reach that turning point to find them new homes, the hard part will be to choose from so many applicants who would love to have them. As you said, they are famous now and that will only become more so. You must keep your true passions for sure, there are horse's out there that need you (or anyone who can love, care and work with them as all horse's deserve). Everything you teach is multiplied many times over by your viewer's who take seriously thier roles as responsible equestrian 's. Bless you!

Thank you for the video of Belle and Ezz as you call her. She is so adorable and kind and personable at such a young age. The mother's attitude and mannerisms aren't lost on the foal. And since you are always calm when you are around them the foal is very confident about you so she is going to be so much fun to work with. She is gorgeous. The markings are very unique. She definitely is not the run of the mill foal. Belle is over the initial anxiety about the foal. It's like she is letting you know that this isn't her first foal and nothing to be concerned about is in her demeanor now. Take care and the best to you and yours!

I think Esmerelda looks part gaited mule. Her knee lift and eye markings are quite mule like. Whatever she is - she is stunning.

​@@jeanheitschmidt8799 Yeah she does have quite flash movement aye! However most mules a sterile, so she could not be sired by one- she is also not build like one. She also doesn't appear gaited in any way 🤷‍♂. I suspect she is from another draft cross- something that moves well, like you said 😊. Also her markings around her eyes are grey goggles, they mean she will be a beautiful big grey when she is older just like her dam!

I wouldn’t be surprised if you find that Ezzy is part Norwegian Fjord with the dun coloring and the upright neck carriage. I had a Belgian-Fjord cross and she reminds me of her. Also you can play with driving Ezzy at 2 or 3 since that is less stressful on their structure but gives them something to do. I would have pegged Belle as a Percheron cross since she looks similar to my Percheron. Have fun with the filly. We had 2 Suffolk foals last year and it was fun.
