Thanks my friend. Great explanation. This NFT stuff is crazy. If the power goes out, all you have is a digital receipt you can't access til the power comes back on. I understand the money potential, but I'm old school. If I spend money on it, I'd like to be able to hold it. It has a much different effect on people if it's in the physical world.

Very informative video! One question. Regarding the NYC apartment split into 1,100 squares. If I am the owner of the apartment and sell the 1,100 square, who actually owns the apartment? I am presuming the 1,100 people do. So does that mean there will need to be 1,100 keys? Because it is owned by so many people, no one of those owners can actually live in that apartment. They will have to rent it out. Will there not need to be a joint effort between the 1,100 people to rent this building out? As technically all 1,100 people are the landlord.

Thank you for your comment R. Yes the 1100 are the owners and landlords when buying their square/s they should ensure that a decent managing agent is in place to manage and rent the property. As this market matures they’ll be companies that specialise in investments of this nature that will help with sales, purchases and managing. I would imagine developers may even start nuildonh blocks of apartments that they’ll split into Sq m/ft and manage the whole block as an investment for people. It wouldn’t surprise me if apartments are also sold in 12 NFTs with ownership all year round but rent or use for one month of the year, with some months (like January) being cheaper than summer months etc.

Absolutely and does. You can buy my house for £1m with no royalty or for £950k but when you sell I want 1% and you have to convince your buyer to give me 1% when they sell and so on. What’s that 1% worth in 300 years time? I wish my great, great, great grandfather could/had of done that for me! 👍🏻

Thanks Think. Which country are you in? Property is my business so probably accounts for 99.9% of my portfolio. Then I have a good amount of Gold all in Jewellery form (easy to buy/sell, holds the same value and can be worn if you need to move). A lot of silver bullion (always have physical bullion). With regards the shares and crypto I might make a video breaking them and the above down. It’s too much to comment here. 👌🏻

My portfolio is mostly stocks in the form of global index funds and some mining stocks, gold and silver ETFs since theyre more liquid and don't have a premium as physical gold do. And of course, Hbar. Why do you choose jewellery over gold bars for example? Sure they're easier to carry with you but you get less gold for the same cost as a gold bar since, if I'm correct, they add a cost for designing the piece? I would like to learn more about real estate and maybe invest in it in the future, but currently I'm an industrial engineering student so I don't have the funds for that unfortunately :) On top of that the real estate prices in Sweden is at an all-time-high which makes me a bit sceptical to invest in that right now. What's your strategy for real estate? Buying and renting out or renovating and selling? Would love to learn more about that!

Hi Think, I think the world property market is at the very, very peak of a massive bubble, I would rent for now and buy for up to 50% off in a year, two tops. I don’t buy fancy gold jewellery, just necklaces mainly and I buy them online and make a lot of very low offers the occasionally one is accepted. If you make 50 offers a day that’s still 1-2 very cheap gold necklaces every few days. Plus if you need to move with wealth you can. It’s just insurance on insurance. Be VERY careful with stocks, the stock market is just as badly inflated (if not more so) than the property market. In fact I’m shorting via futures on the VIX index. Property is a fantastic investment and you don’t need much money to start if you know how (see my lease option video) but you’re right, prices are crazy at the moment.

I still don't get the value of NFTs using this comparison. If I own the Mona Lisa, I can look at it and enjoy the original. Nobody else can have that experience, since I can restrict who can see the brush strokes and get within proximity of something Da Vinci actually touched. That's the value of owning the Mona Lisa. Owning digital content doesn't have the same value, since anyone can copy it and have the exact same experience. It only works in two ways, as far as I can see: 1) if you get a warm fuzzy glow from feeling like you own something, even though everyone else who's copied it has the exact same data on their system, or 2) (where I think the real value is) is proving you have the rights to something in the world of licensing. The video loaning example is better, in this case. In short, I think its value is in proving you own something, so that you can then sell it/license it for use in a commercial world where copyright infringement exits. In terms of private ownership for the sake of ownership, it isn't the same as the real world imo, and takes a special kind of person to buy into its value. If a piece of artwork looks cool and I want it on my windows desktop, I will just add it, and won't feel any desire to buy it to get the warm fuzzies it's mine. I'd only buy it in the NFT world if commercial entities under threat of copyright law were likely to use it, and therefore pay me for its use if I could prove ownership.

I do understand the points you raise FalloutBreakbeat however I believe you’re missing a coupes of things. It’s not fair to compare two mediums of art for the sake of an argument. There are no brushstrokes on a Banksy, a Warhol or a Damien Hirst etc do they have no value either? You can have a poster of any of the above and it would be near impossible to tell the difference and if you’re happy with that then great. You can buy a fake Rolex whilst your at it, these times they keep great time, look good and some are even waterproof. What these all don’t do, is allow you to buy into the project you love, support the artist, allow you to benefit from any capital appreciation. Now add the Metaverse in the mix, you’re having a virtual meeting with an international bank in their virtual boardroom, are they going to want a copy on the wall or an original? What about the board table, made by IKEA or a 1/1 Ferrari Table backed by an NFT? Now add all the points you raise and you’ve got a massive market of secure, safe, enjoyable art that’s also a great investment.

If the NFT can change, and say someone buys 1sqft off my 1000 sqft, can he modify the label saying now he owns 100 sqft? Furthermore, if the NFT label is attached to a digital art. Why can't I just screenshot the original art and attach my nft to it saying my copy is the original art because it has the NFT label? If there are 100 identical pieces of art with NFT attached to them, how do you know which one is the original? I guess you could see which one is the oldest label but how are you supposed to know how many copies of that digital art there is so yours is the oldest thus the original?

Yes exactly, you know that my art as an artist is minted on Hedera, you know the piece of mine you’ve bought is supposed to be a 1/1 minted on the 1/2/2021. You know anything minted after this is a copy or if there is one before yours is the copy. You can change your label to say 1000 sq ft but a simple verification of the address will show this is not true.

"Label" is not a good analogy as it failed to explain how it 'Attaches' to physical items like houses. A token represents (e.g., with the address encoded) a house in a distributed ledger, with all the relevant transactions available to prove the ownership history over time.

I struggle with projects that have no utility or real purpose you’re right because I believe they’ll fall away one day and that day could be this afternoon! There are some great coins I hold that have very specific but important roles like ECOMI (OMI) I talked about it in a video about 8 months ago (it was circa $0.0001 at the time and is now $0.006). OMI is the crypto VeVe operates on and VeVe is big but will soon be huge. I’ll create a video talking about all coins and why I have them. 👍🏻
