Hi Dr Gundry, one thing very important I don’t hear scientists often talking about is Stress which is the most inflammatory and source of all health problems !

Dr. Gundry. You’re special. God bless you. I’m 73, an intermittent but soon-to-be regular listener. Your advice is great. Also you mentioned that spinach and kale, among other vegetables, contain uric acid which accounts for gout and kidney stones. As someone who loved spinach and suffered from kidney stones for 20 years until I began to investigate the causes, your advice to people susceptible to kidney stones and gout (the so-called rich man’s disease) is priceless. The pain is pure unadulterated agony. It was so great at times I was rushed by ambulance to the hospital where Domerol, a narcotic, was prescribed. I respectfully caution people to listen to you. I wouldn’t want anyone to experience the pains I endured. Thank you, again.

To Dr. Gundry with love: since about July 6, 2021, you have changed my thinking and my life, and my husband and I are closer than we ever have been because he has researched health issues for years to try to help my mom. Now, you have me fanatically on board. As I read The Plant Paradox, I read passage after passage that applies to my mom’s inability to control her feet with her brain. Your writing implied it is all from the gut!!! I bought all of your books except the first one including both cookbooks and in digital form too because it is easy to search for recipes and the quotes I remember. I have been cooking many of your recipes because they show what you want us to concentrate on eating. Two tsp. Pepper is a lot for the cauliflower and leak soup. I bought the Plant Paradox in Spanish for my mom’s Spanish caregiver and she is ecstatic about the new way of eating - and she tries to apply at her home. The Sturdy Bread is now our main bread. I make the fantastic baguette that is fabulous for garlic bread, but that bread is tricky. I end up cooking one loaf in the back of the pan in the oven. Even though we eat those 2 breads, my mom and I are losing a lot of weight. I roll the almond cheese crackers as thin as wheat thins and they are fabulous. We are following your diet. Our salad has radicchio, Belgium endive, baby kale, baby spinach, arugula, radishes, and romaine. We usually have sautéed asparagus also. And now that pomegranates are in season, I sprinkle the seeds on the salad. Everyone except my mom uses your expensive olive oil. Your oil is too strong for mom right now. But I found good olive oil and non sugar balsamic vinegar from Papa Vince. You have made cooking a lot more interesting and worthwhile to me. I am considered a gourmet cook, but I think my cooking was boring before Dr. Gundry. I even tried to make homemade oyster sauce from oysters but my husband was not home to help eat the food!!!! You told us about the 15 minute routine in the morning and I am taking VitaminK2 and D 3. But I started doing A2 milk after listening to the milk podcast and now my teeth don’t try to bunch up. I do have questions. My husband says that raw milk is better than the A2 milk referenced in you podcast. What do you think of raw milk? I appreciate everything you do - the podcasts and books. There is so much to absorb that I could read the books twice and listen to the podcasts twice. THANK YOU for sharing all of your knowledge.

Exactly!! Superfoods term is not officially proven by any authorities, it's just marketing throwing this claim to foods to make them more sellable. It may have some background in the term "Functional Foods" which does exist and is approved, so look that way for identifying foods with scientifically approved health benefits.

Could you please talk about Acrylamide? I was going to buy a pressure cooker in order to reduce the LECTIN in potatoes but that's what I found out: "When STARCHY FOOD are pressure cooked, they form ACRYLAMIDE, a harmful chemical that, when consumed on a regular basis may lead to health issues like cancer, infertility, and neurological disorders." Roasted coffe has acrylamide as well.

"Wheatgrass is gluten-free when harvested from a growing wheat plant without any seeds. Wheatgrass is the fresh sprouted leaves of the wheat plant. When people hear wheat, they automatically think gluten. Wheatgrass is the first young leaves of the common wheat plant Triticum aestivum ( 2 ). While it's a wheat product, wheatgrass does not contain gluten and is safe to consume if you follow a gluten-free diet." just googled it

Thank you Dr. Gundry for all the information you share with us. For me it has been seeing the light. I am from Peru and have been living in Arkansas for almost 1 years. Since I was a child they always told me that I had poor digestion but they never defined something, I had indigestion, I was filled with gases, I vomited, I felt tired and bad after eating ... when everyone else was happy. Years passed and I think something got better but I never felt good until I did the Dunkan diet, and it was like reviving ... of course zero carbs at the beginning and then gradually reintroducing. But I only stayed eating proteins and vegetables ... and very little cereals and the rest. I lost a lot of weight and all my blood tests were wonderful. I always had this sensitivity to dairy but now I know it's not lactose but A1 casein. Well all this introduction to ask several things that I still do not understand: Why does cow's milk protein allergy occur in babies? Does protein pass through breast milk? My daughter was born in 2018 and presented this problem, as a result of that I left all dairy products and also gluten, peanuts, oats, corn, soy, fish, nuts, citrus fruits. Little by little I returned with several and I just kept not consuming dairy, soy, oats and gluten. And in short they have been the best years I have had. I have never felt better in health and my daughter no longer has problems drinking my milk.

Hi Dr. Gundry, So ... I’ve always thought pumpkin seeds are super duper healthy 🤓 I add them to my salads all the time. At the end of the video, you said no pumpkin or seeds 😔 Is this true?? Another question I have: Why is it that I can eat a huge mixed salad at lunchtime and have next to no bad reaction (inflamation), but when I have the same mixed salad with almost the exact same ingredients at night, I wake up in the morning and can‘t close my hands (major inflamation)?? Is there something happening metabolically during the daytime? Maybe the coffee or green tea I drank before, or the stress-hormone through being active at work? I just discovered your channel Dr. Gundry and I‘m fascinated with all of your content!! I‘ve been Clean Keto for 5 yrs, with major improvements in health, lost over 80 lbs, but still have joint inflamation from time to time. Now I‘m trying to tweek my diet even further with your Lectin-Reduced approach. Thanks for any help you can give, I‘d really appreciate it ... especially because I don‘t want to give up my delicious mixed salads. I also enjoy stews, with lots of cooked veggies and meat. Strangely I automatically cook and eat more of this type of recipe, possibly because my body craves it more and knows it’s less inflamatory for me than the salads. Maybe I just need to eliminate a few „high lectin“ ingredients in the salads? Or possibly sautee the high lectin veggies and add them cold to my salads (peppers, tomatoes, etc) What do you think Doc? Cheers from Switzerland 🇨🇭

I quite like this chap and I m confident that a lot of his advice is conducive to maintaining good health. However you can get bogged down with this kind of stuff and experts have conflicting ideas. For example that is the first time I have heard anything negative about tomatoes. A lot of these foods that are getting the thumbs down have been keeping us alive for years. If you stick to everything in moderation you should not go too far wrong. And yes do what you can to reduce the sugar intake.

Speaking of pine nuts. My mother, two aunts and my brother were cured from Uric acid accumulations in their joints by pine nuts liquor, that was made of whole pine nuts( shells on) soaked in equal amnt of vodka for 10 days. One Tbsp of that liquor every day and ALL of them recovered from severe joint pain, that never returned. The doctor that treated them explained that effect as ability of enzymes present in pine nuts, especially in shells, to dissolve uric acid. Unfortunately, all pine nuts in the US are sold shelled. I never heard of any studies done on that pine nuts effect, but it is well known in Siberia, capital of pine nut trees.

Hi Dr. Gundry, thanks for the amazing content! I am slowly introducing your content to my family and they are really noticing the improvements! I have a question for you as this may be interesting for everyone: I see that rejuvenac is used to make plant based cheeses... I want to do plant based cheese (avoiding peanuts and cashew) and I see that some recipes require rejuvenac. I have been digging into the rejuvenac making process and I see it is made out of fermentation of sprouted grain seeds. I will surely use millet as I know it is safe, but I was wondering about other grains such as wheat or quinoa (both broadly recommended for this beverage)... would their sprouted and fermented version be detrimental according to your studies? Thanks in advance! We really love your content and have replaced all the entertainment subscriptions with your channel :) P.S. Loved the previous two books and looking forward for the Energy Paradox!

Quinoa is good if fermented? Fermentation implies the grain/seed has been soaked so the internal starch has converted to sugar. Once the sugar is available bacteria then consume the sugar to acetic acid (vinegar). Who is going to enjoy a cup of vinegar for breakfast?

Loved your video...watched it twice back to back so I would not miss writing down anything you mentioned. Thank you for this most important info. I have been following your works for sometime. Without health, we have nothing no matter how wealthy one can be. True wealth is superior health for longevity. I have previously purchased 2 of your books and a cookbook and have since been a big fan of yours. I've seen the positive changes in my energy, mood, skin appearance, and weight loss. Even my family doctor has asked me what's my secret because my blood work looks great and in my mid 50's I am getting compliments on my looks I stopped getting in my mid 40's. Again THANK YOU!!!

So tomatoes are a fruit then ketchup is a smoothie! Unless you find sugar free ketchup? What’s worse? The actual sugar in regular ketchup even if organic or the way “sugar-free” is made? Dr. Gundry might say-Just use a bit of tomato paste, lol!

For a diabetic patient doctors recommend eggplant, bitter melon and okra. I though the eggplant is a member of the nightshade plants which is bad like tomato. They even recommend vegetables and fruits gor health reason like diabetes based on plants, suddenly my thought comes to a screeching halt after viewing your magnificient and informative vlog. Such that i had to go over the video a few more times not to miss anything important. After eliminating much of the vegetables and fruit see that there not much choices. Here is to good health doctor!!

If your package food has a list of ingredients that looks like a chemistry set don't eat it. When they cut open the bodies of Egyptian mummies an agrarian society that thought wheat was the staff of life they find bone rot osteoporosis arteriosclerosis cancers heart and circulatory disorders man boobs. Man has only been agrarian based for eight thousand years. If you eat with man ate for the first 2 million years you're doing what the body is more genetically disposed to do. And that means changing your entire thinking

Wow another question, regarding fermented foods. Does fermentation actually destroy lectins? I ask this because I ferment cabbage and to a point drink the juice, so can one do this with other fermented foods that contain lectins? I don't want to start something I deem not very healthy. This is a great vid.

I have heard him say that the fermentation process breaks down the lectins.
