What are the best car air fresheners? Experiment with my girlfriend! In this video, my girlfriend and I test a bunch of air freshener to find the best smelling ones. A car air freshener is used to make your car smell pleasant. Air fresheners come in different scents and varieties. Based on your personal preference for aromas, you can pick one accordingly. D113 Citrus Blast Wash & Wax is one of the best citrus scents I have ever smelled. As far as actual scented air fresheners, if you can get your hands on the discontinued "Squash" Air Refresher mini can that one is amazing too!

If a car has obvious / strong smell of air freshener I assume owner is trying to hide something. Be it a dirty interior, moldy surfaces or body in the trunk. Clean car smells good, no need for fragnance.

I don't really mind what they're made of, but I do think more and more companies are making the effort to make their products more "eco friendly". But one thing is fore sure, I would NEVER sacrifice a product's performance or durability just for the sake of the environment. Detailing is a passion and I won't use second tier products. So hopefully brands are working hard to develop future lineups of "green" products that work just as well as full blown chemicals. That remains to be seen.

To be honest, I don’t use any of these products. They’re expensive through out the time. Whenever I stop at bath and body works to get lotions I get room fresheners and those things are fire and last 2-3 days off one spray from that $6 bottle comes in clutch and the scents are beyond.

Wow that was a very good one!! I'm surprised a little bit with the reaction to some of them, but thank you Pan & Isabelle, this is great since I'll be trying new ones very soon!! I must admit I'm still so much in love with Adam's Mega Foam, it's such a weird thing to say but I not only love this product for its heavenly bubble gum smell, to me it is absolutely marvelous on performance in the pre contact wash phase. There's also for me something really special happening in my brain with the smell of the Turtle Wax drying aid ceramic wet wax and ONR blue soap (I only use it 1:32 with deionized water as clay lube). I guess that's my absolute top three car detailing products of all time smell wise!!

It doesn't take a doctorate degree to figure out smells that you like and those that you don't like. Do you think it would be worth it to take out the cabin air filter and spray some product on it to blow throughout the cabin?

I never did that, but you certainly could. I just put the air conditioning at full blast in air recirculation mode, then spray near the footwells, and so the spray gets sucked up into the vents and every time you turn on the A/C you get a light smell. A little trick to make air fresheners last a little longer.

Since this video, I discovered scents that do last longer compared to traditional air fresheners, and they took home the first place in my annual car detailing products awards for best air fresheners. Best air freshener that you can get and last for months is Blunt effects specially the Tom Ford scent. Chemical Guys stripper scent is good but it doesn't last 10 minutes.
