Yeah, ever since Gennai mentioned there being a group of digidestined before Tai's, I've thought Matt's dad was probably one of them. I think it would be more likely for his Gabumon to have digivolved to Monochromon, then Triceramon, though.

I always thought tapirmon would have turned fanglongmon. I kind of wish that it actually happened and after the reboot she realized her partner didn't die but instead had ascended already and took its place before the others. To have her realize that she was used and lied to, would have been an incredible character moment.

the problem with digimon is, what it does right it does really good but for the wrongs.. there is s lot of fan service and potential (like in Kizuna where the Digimon and Digidestined are an established element more or less in their world) but i feel they always hesitate to make the step from a very good kids show to a franchise with a heavy lore where actions have consequences in the long run.. they kinda did this with kizuna but it would really suprise me if they stick with what the end wants to sell.

I agree. I love seeing digimon that were portrayed as evil before working together with heroes to help others. It goes to show you that all digimon can be a good guy if they have the will to help others and team up with the right tamers. see the thing about Orochimon is that it has support like attacks. It has a breath that makes digimon drunk. It is also kinda slow and imobile. Really underwhelming for an ultimate level. It's a good boss digimon if you make it a kaiju, but not really exciting for a protagonist.

I love the idea of Maki having Megidramon as her mega as like a corrupted version but I also like the idea of it potentially becoming Goldramon as I have always thought Taperimon would be a good choice as the rookie for that Digimon.

I also think Tapirmon and Maki were destined to be Fanglongmon, to guard all the Four Holy Beast. Maybe if Fanglongmon exist, Four Holy Beast wouldn't lose and get sealed by the Dark Masters. It was destined to be. But Maki lost it and go into dark route. Fanglongmon didn't exist. And Four Holy Beast lose.

Great selection!! I think Flarizamon would be perfect for the Tapirmon evo. It maintains the helmet that both tapirmon and Megadramon have and I could see flarizamon’s flames burning away in an evolution and leaving the orange scarred looking skin of Megadramon.

I absolutely loved your chosen evolution paths and Fanglongmon theory. As I honestly was thinking about similar evolution paths when I saw what happened between. The Dark Masters and the Original Chosen children. I personally believe that Maki and Tapirmom were leaders of the original groups as it’s the Four Sovereigns and Her Theoretical Fanglongmon is their leader.

Digimon ReArise is NOT canon to Adventure. The banner lines are simply suggestions by either the ReArise team or MAYBE Bandai. More of these are similar to ReArise than others, but ReArise has some fun ideas for these lines!

Personally, the Evo lines from ReArise make the most sense for me. A group of not-so-special digimon becoming super special is a tale as old as time. Even if ReArise isn't canon to the original Adventure series, these Evos are the best I see as official evolutions for the Sovereigns in the series overall. For Tapirmon, I have Baluchimon, Megadramon and Alphamon. As for the Dracomon/Huanglongmon line, it would make sense if there was a secret sixth Digidestined behind the scenes during the Zero-Zero Digidestined's adventure, and would fuse with the Sovereigns to become Huanglongmon. I even made a special fusion for Huanglongmon and Alphamon Ouryuken, called Alphamon Ultra Mode, to mirror Tai and Matt's Omnimon becoming Merciful Mode by fusing with the rest of the Zero-One gang.

I love those evolutions lines, and I couldn't agree more for the Tapirmon line. I seriously made up a theory for why Megadramon would transform into Fanglongmon, with a couple of details that always bothered me, such as the fact that, like you said, 5 is a magic number here, and all the Beasts use their attacks on Megadramon against the Dark Masters. It is implied he was sacrified, but we already saw in Adventure that attacks could also be use as power-ups. That, and some other things, make me really think he wasn't just sacrified. Love the implication of Megidramon too

The Digimon TCG gives hints to what Bearmon and Tapirmon digivolved into. Also the crests didn't exist with the original team, but assigning isn't to hard if you consider Hope and Light released Azulongmon. I would assume they would be paired Courage / Friendship, Love / Sincerity, and Knowledge Reliability, with Himekawa most likely representing Kindness.

Between Tapirmon and Megadramon, I personally like (the metal helm they both wear along with) Flarizamon for color red like Megadramon or Darkrizamon maybe having a connection to the torture she had during Tamers when she was deleted permanently maybe matching Maki's dark arc where she lost her partner seemingly for good.

As you talked about Digimon ReArise, I like to add that the game created a interesting evolution line for each of the Four Holy Beasts Kamemon > Dinohumon > Orochimon > Xuanwumon/Ebonwumon Bearmon > Grizzmon > LoaderLiomon > Baihumon (this was kinda obvious where to go, exactly as you thought) Muchomon > Akatorimon > Hippogriffomon > Zhuqiaomon (another one exactly as you speculated) Elecmon (the blue one, virus version, and this line was so unexpected to me) > Tuskmon > Triceramon > Qinglongmon/Azulongmon And I also like to think that Bakumon kinda lives in Huanglongmon, as it was that sacrifice that created the other four sacred creatures. Nice video as always!

I agree the Rearise Lines seem the most likely for the original digidestined, although according to Rearise Tapirmon becomes Machinedramon. Rearise claims AeroVeedramon or DoruGreymon > Dorugoramon > Huanglongmon rather than Megadramon. Dorumon Family for DoruGreymon & then either Veedramon or Tyrannomon for AeroVeedramon.

Great video as always. Your choices always seem the most logical and most accepting. You know, this does make me wonder why none of the Digimon Sovereigns have showed up in the Vital Bracelet yet? We have Ancient Digimon, but none of the sovereigns? It would be cool to have them as partners in the vital bracelet one day. Also, this does make me wish they actually explored the dark ocean more. I always had this wish that there would be a short story where a human is trapped in the dark ocean because they were desperate for a Digimon partner, and fell there by accident trying to get into the digital world and obtain one. And while there, they befriend and bond with a Syakomon. So, they have their partner, but now they’re trapped in the Dark Ocean forever, never ageing, never starving, but just trapped in a stasis like feeling forever. A cautionary tale of just appreciating what you have instead of envying others for what you don’t have.

I had a crack at the same thing when this movie first came out and came to the same conclusion as you regarding Huanglongmon. The lines I came up with were: Bakumon > FlareLizarmon (the silver helmet is the connection here) > Megadramon > Huanglongmon Bearmon > Gryzmon > LoaderLiomon > Baihumon Dracomon > Coredramon Green (strengthening the dragon theme) > Triceramon > Qinglongmon Kotemon > Darcmon > Hippogriffomon > Zhuqiaomon (I think I like yours better for this one)

I’ll be honest, I COMPLETELY forgot these kids were even a thing. I never finished watching Tri, and basically learned from an outside source about the villains, and then I lost interest in wanting to finish watching them. That being said, this video was very interesting and something I never really considered thinking about since, outside of Tri, these kids didn’t play a huge factor in much. Though I do like a lot of your selections for Rookies. That one Dinosaur one with no arms(who’s name I ALREADY forgot….) looked both adorable and ferocious. Would love to see him get more love. I don't like using Armors for Champions, although I will accept a Quetzalmon Recolor into Orochimon. I prefer the Rearise Digivolutions for Ebonwumon & Azulongmon personally. As for Maki & Tapirmon I believe Megadramon is a Dark Digivolution, which supports Megidramon as being likely. As for Huenglongmon if Maki raised her Tapirmon better I like the idea of it possibly reaching that form.

I think the dcg already gave us hints on maki's mega honestly. And with it kinda confirmed your line for daigo's bearmon as it infact does become grizzlymon then loaderleomon and finally baihumon. Maki gets megadramon and tapirmon too so my personal theory goes two ways: either it's the blackwargreymon that the 02 digidestined faced, with its memories wiped clean from how long it was inside of the dark ocean (where maki couldn't find it) or it could have turned into a gaiomon which honestly would have been a neat idea

a while ago I came up with something similar my lines for Zhuqiaomon, Azulongmon, and Baihumon were Identical for Ebonwumon I went with an earth theme with Sunarizamon and Tortoisemon my Tapiermon line went to Unimon to match Tapiermon's theme and Megadramon's wings, and BellStarmon as the mega beacuse the woman who shot divermon's with a bazooka deserves to have a Musketeer, Additionally all 4 have a simmaler faceplate

Rearise gave the evolutions chains with the release of the 4 holy beast banner. The orochi came from a kamemon which I thought was good but it just took orochimon out of the lineage for a bit because it goes turtle, reptile man, snake and then tortoise lol but the fanglongmon evolution I think would have been cool too or it would have been an opener to creating a new type of holy beast. Imagine a holy dinosaur or holy elephant, just because the elephant is considered a diety in some places, as opposed to the dragon and holy beast we have now.

I really wanted something for tapirmon along the Mammothmon evolution type cause if they wanted they could have made it reginal based qith tapirs and elephants sharing environmental regions so like a Buddhist/ eastern mammal humanoid utilized skullmammothmon and mega digivolving to a dark priest or shaman like holy digimon. And I only say it like that since skullmammothmon is still vaccine type but a violent type

Ok the reason for Orochimon is that the Northern Sovereign isn't just a turtle, with it being a 2 headed Snake inside of a Turtle Shell that grows a tree. Ebonwumon fuses the Turtle Data from Kamemon & Dinohyumon with Orochimon's Legendary Monster Data with the source Orochi being described as having plants growing on its back. I also tend to prefer Tapirmon becoming Mammothmon.

From the shadows, the originals are Agumon, Patamon, Biyomon, Tentomon and Gabumon, which to me means that the originals were Ty and Kari's dad, Matt and TK's mum and Dad, Sora's mum and Izzy's dad, Matt and TK's dad knew Gabumon and we never got to meet Izzy's dad so we don't know if he had any connection.

Japanese usually make Dinossaurs evolve into Dragons because for them, they are actually dragons from the beginning. The Kanji for the word Dinossaur in japanese language reads "Kyōryū", that means "Fearsome Dragon", do they're dragons from the begining to them. I happen to know this because of Dorbickmon's card, that says he can DigiXros with any digimon with the kanji ryū in it's type, can dinossaur has it, ceratopian has it been "Tsunoryu" or "Horned Dragon", Plessiosaur is "Shucho Ryu" or "Boss Dragon" and so on. So it makes sense for them, that dinossaurs could evolve into dragons, if for them, they are already dragons evolving into stronger dragons, or humanoid dragons in cases like Dorbickmon, WarGreymon and so many others.

For Maki I really like the theory that Maki's Digimon was in fact a wrong evolution and that's why it died instead of becoming Fangwumon, I don't know if I spelled that wrong. What I think happened is Maki was unable to unlock her crest for some reason so instead her Digimon digivolved into a different path then it was meant to, when the Soverinets attacked it what I believe they were doing was give it their powers so it could digivolve into Fangwumon had it been in it's true ultimate form. In my personally fanmade story of the original digidestined Maki's crest was selflessness, she and the others have their own unique crests that no one else had. In the story Maki selfishly keeps Tapirmon from fighting because she's afraid to see him hurt so Tapirmon has to digivolve into a different path then the holy form he was meant to just to survive, in the story he is the only one to reach his mega form since the others only reach mega as the Soverinets in his "wrong" path he becomes Machinedramon. In the story the reason the Soverinets lose to the dark masters and were sealed away was because they were fated to win only if all five of them became their holy forms. In the end of the story it's revealed the whole story was the Soverinets telling Tai and the other adventure digidestined their story and it ends with the sad lines "There was supposed to be five." Had Maki been able to unlock whatever her crest was there likely would have been five holy digimon and perhaps Maki wouldn't have gone her dark path.

I agree with everything except the hueglongmon part see megadramon doesn't exactly Evo to such a thing since Huanglongmon classified as a ultra in some cases thank to the pendulum z an some vpet being consider digivices in some mangas so if we're saying that it kinda doesn't hold up in all respect I think the champion is understandable mostly I agree with the Megidramon Evo

For Azulongmon another Champion form I think would work is Airdramon and according to the wiki Airdramon's most "confirmed" Rookie is Monodramon which I like because now I'm imagining Azulongmon as an alternative Mega for Ryo and Cyberdramon and it fits considering Takato's Megidramon. Also Azulongmon's the only one of the Four Great Dragons without a humanoid alternate Mega (Gallantmon, Seraphimon, and Ophanimon) so if Justimon can rectify that it's fine by me.

I think I confused myself. I was thinking of Airdramon as a better Champion form for Azulongmon than Coatlmon but forgot that was being used for Ebonwumon and Orochimon. Airdramon probably wouldn't work as well Triceramon as its Ultimate. I mean it still could I suppose but I'm just saying my mind was in a different place when I said that.

I have zero doubt that Maki's evo line was Tapirmon -> Monochromon -> Megadramon -> Fanglongmon. In the Tri flashback it seemed like the four Sovereigns were trying to combine their power and evolve Megadramon into Fanglongmon, but Maki and Megadramon's bond wasn't strong enough to pull it off.

Wasn't there a moment is digimon 02 where we see Ken went to the digital world as a young kid (og Takeru/Kairi age) and was with other digidestined then? Maybe Ken was originally the 6th of these peeps 5. Or maybe there have been more sets of digidestined before and after Tai and the gang than we know.

That was probably what happened, although even if she Dark Digivolved that probably would have been helpful in defeating the Dark Masters. Which path do you think her Tapirmon should have taken? I usually think of Apemon, Mammothmon, & SkullMamothmon when I think of Tapirmon digivolving.

As much as I love Baluchimon as a Champion for Tapirmon, I genuinely think Himekawa's Tapirmon would become Monochromon, who would become Megadramon, because there's a Tapirmon in ReArise with Monochromon as its Champion and Megadramon as its Ultimate. I do love the theory that he would become Fanglongmon, but I honestly think Fanglongmon would be more like an "Ultra" form for it, so its regular Mega could be something like Megidramon, Spinomon, or Dinorexmon. Also, even though they ignored the silhouettes in tri., which is fine, I like the idea of the Hippogriffomon Digivolving from Unimon, coming from the Patamon in the silhouette. Honestly, my favorite Champion for Triceramon is probably Tuskmon, but I don't have a good Rookie for that suggestion, maybe the Agumon in the silhouette.

Every member of the original Digidestined has been confirmed about a year ago but the fan wiki has not been updated as of yet. Spoilers to anyone who reads further on. Here are the lines- Muchomon -> Akatorimon -> Hipogriffomon -> Zhuqaiomon Bearmon -> Grizzmon -> Loderliomon -> Baihumon Elecmon (Violet) -> Tuskmon -> Triceramon -> Azulongmon Kamemon -> Dinohumon -> Orochimon -> Ebonwumon Also, I remember hearing somewhere that Maki's Tapirmon's Mega form is most likely Machinedramon.

No they weren't. These were lines created for the Digimon ReArise banner. It may be a SUGGESTION for their lines but is not defacto 100% confirmed Adventure canon.
