Love how the people who never been to India are the ones stereotyping it based on what they see in media. And the ones who actually went there knows more. If you interview them their favourite country i am sure most of them will say either USA or Paris. Cause they associate that country with money and good value of living. But only when you travel, you come out of your closed minds and see the reality. Be nice to tourists not because your getting money from them but in general.

I've been to Paris many years ago. Before going due to the media, people tend to romanticise Paris. Actually, the streets of Paris are quite dirty, you've to watched out for dog poos too and Parisians don't come across as friendly or helpful. Hope things have improved.

It depends on expat's attitude. It's expat's problem in every countries, not just Thailand. I used to live in the US, the Netherlands, Singapore and Taiwan. In the US, I spoke English fluently and was able to read Spanish. In the Netherlands, most Dutch can speak English, but I managed to read Dutch.

Yes silk too. I have one I bought in (Srinigar) Kashmir in 1982. 400 KPSI and has silk in some parts of the pattern. It still looks like new. Cheaper rugs are 288 KPSI.

Some of the Thai people who do not like Chinese people it’s because of many Chinese tourists came here and did a lot of bad things to Thai people such as -destroyed the ancient items at the most famous temple in Bangkok -they poo every where even in the information center that have a lot of people working inside and have Air conditioner, they just walk pass the entrance glass door and poo just right there -again they poo and pee on the sky train with full of passengers and the most funny thing was the skytrain was moving and all the people in the skytrain had to jump off the line of the flown pee and the pee went everywhere all over the skytrain that day I remember this was the funniest news I’ve ever watched in my life -again they played their poo in the most famous Golden room in the most famous white temple in the north of Thailand at that time the Chinese tourist’s poo were all over the place and at that time they Banned the Chinese tourists and not allow them to go inside the temple for a while because Master Chalermchai the Artist and also the owner of the famous White temple got very angry at the Chinese tourist. -they go to the most famous Thai Sakura garden which all Thai people were waiting for years for the blooming day and take a picture and at that year a big group of Chinese people went to that famous Thai Sakura garden and all of them included their kids were picked bunches of flowers for each person just for Selfie pictures!!! Yes after they all gone all the flowers in the garden that all Thai people were waiting were all on the ground and yes they just destroyed that garden just in 1 day and that was a very sad news for Thai people and they have to close the garden after that day -if they see the buffet food on the table they would take all of the foods even it’s made for 20 or 40 people and at that time many hotel and hostel in Chieng mai do not allow Chinese people as a guest because there will be no more buffet foods for another tourists from all over the world. Of course it’s much much more cases but I think it’s already too long my friend. Lol But for the Japanese people I think most of the Thai people and Japanese are very friendly and love each other also there is even a Japan town here and nowadays more than 100,000++ of the Japanese populations were already move to live here in Thailand and I also have a lot of Japanese friends too I guessed some Thai who hate Japanese are the one who lived and have a problem with those Japanese people because they are a lot here in Thailand nowadays my friend also there are a lot of Korean people who moved to live here in Thailand too.
