Dean, a fan from Canada. You said the 2019 Kawasaki KX fits you the best and feels very comfortable. With a Pro-Circuit/Mitch Payton race engine and suspension setup it would be outstanding. Already was the 2nd fastest lap time today, on a stock bike. Good support and premium suspension setup will give you the edge. Best of luck on your choice!

I’ll never forget that, I’ll always root for you because of how you handle yourself and how you interact with your fans. Kick ass this season Deano!

Gotta go with the Kawi bro. I’m a Honda guy myself but have heard amazing things about the Kawi this year. You looked pretty comfortable on it and was only a second off your fastest lap on the bike you’ve ridden the last 2 years. Plus I think Mitch would appreciate you riding green again if he’s willing to help you with parts and all that😉. Thanks for the Vid, keep em comin, cheers!

I think the Honda is the only bike you haven't raced professionally if I recall - plus it sounds like you may have a good connection with your buddy from SLR. I think the Kawi may be a good choice though as you stated that you felt comfortable and that it fit you well - that may lead to less knee problems in the long run. Good luck Deano! It's cool to see someone from Scotland have so much success here in the USA!

Hey deano... Choose the bike that helps you, to set it up fast during a race.soil by soil and track conditions.Also choose a bike that helps you stay out of mechanical troubles and injuries.At least,not a fun,,,but i thing yamaha is the easiest bike by all means for privateering.Is matter of time to get a factory ride.Just stay out of troubles
@nolanmanley53596 жыл бұрын
Don't matter what you ride as long as it's set up for YOU! You will be fast. I would have a long talk with Mitch if he's going to help you and see what bike he wants to develop for you. If he is committed you will have the machine you need to be competitive at the pro level and get the ride that will open up within the first 3 SX races of the season. Pulling for you to be there all year long.

Rip the CRF or the Kawi. There's a couple ways you can approach the whole getting dropped scenario but I would argue anything but Husky. If you ride the Husky, you're still giving them the same brand exposure with none of the benefits. They'll be like "Great, Deano is helping us out and we don't even have to pay him." Whereas you start winning on another bike, there will be competition for you and Husky might want you back even more if a spot opens up or if Osborne can't perform on a 450. My personal bias says Honda - your lap time was .1 off the Kawi and you rode the Honda first. That's a dope bike and I think with everyone expecting Tomac to win riding green, I'd love for you to stir the pot there as well. Leave that Yamaha behind.. Weird front end, weird design, wide cockpit, I don't think that's the fastest bike and your lap time showed it. Just my 2 cents! Good luck man! I'd love to see you out winning with all you've been through.

@@zPrideful He would do well on a KTM 250 2 Stroke. Stank dawg did it on a 125, and his finishes were the same as when he was on a 250 4 stroke.
@zPrideful6 жыл бұрын
@@sciencemilitia1853 you realise that guy barely ever made it into the main event plus his faster on a 125 than he is on a 250f. Also the difference between a 250 2 stroke and 450f is alot. He wouldn't so near as good as you think he would.
@sciencemilitia18536 жыл бұрын
@@zPrideful The 250 2 strokes at Glen Helen's 2 stroke national were running the same average lap times as the top 10 450 main event riders. And a 250 2 stroke can hang with 450Fs better than a 125 can hang with 250Fs.
@sciencemilitia18536 жыл бұрын
@@zPrideful BTW I race a 250 2 stroke against modern 450s. I race B class, and I top 5 all the time on a stock YZ250. Just even look at off road racing where the rules still allow fair displacement in racing. 2 strokes across the board. Know why? Lighter weight and more power is actually a good thing. Try it once ;)

Be the grassroots guy. If you like "the fans" and you like talking to us this way, then go with that. There's potential that we will make a loud noise when you enter the stadiums. How cool would that be? You mention Mitch Payton. If you a based near him, and he's going to be good resource to keep the bike in top shape - engine rebuilds, etc, etc, then Pro Circuit gets some big pluses. The last thing you want is a bike that leaves you stranded with no high end race bike support. Weigh through the scenarios, and who you will go to to keep the bike(s) and parts in peak shape. All this is available if you pay the price. But it's about who will work hard for you too. If you need an engine tomorrow, who's going to make this happen? Who's going to be a true partner?

What do you prefer as a pro sx mx racer? I know bikes are always changing and I can see differences from bike to rider and I prefer 2 strokes because you can't feather that clutch on a 4 stroke but I know it's all about it's all about the 4 strokes but I'd still love to know your prefered bike and company and that's what really breaks it down and I've asked my father and he's been at the beginning of motocross racing and he always loved the 73 CZ, suzuki steering and honda. Actually you are a champion already. Stay positive. When deciding which bike to ride? Id say base your decision NOT on the bike, but based it on the people that is surrounding you and is most supportive morally, physically emotionally and especially on the technical side of it. Like for example, the great Cairoli was dumped by yamaha despite of his proven success. KTM took him, but Cairoli stayed with the same people, technical team and management. And he even blossomed more success. GOODLUCK TO YOU DEAN!
