I have a small hair flat-iron .... I don't use it on my hair, but I keep it in my sewing room for heaps of fabric that need ironing, especially all the sewn edges, seams, ribbons, bias binding and anything else that you need to iron. I've found it especially great for scrunches and patchwork.... as soon as I've seen short edges. It's also great for ironing just the ruffles, pressing pin-tucks, firm pleats, hair ribbons, hems, and sooo many other things that seem such a waste of time in setting up small items .... You'll be amazed at many other items that this little gadget has saved me time and effort in so many ways, in all areas around your home that you've never thought twice about ironing because they were either too fiddly to set up the iron and the ironing board ..... even if just a small part of your sewing, clothing and/or other items around the home.

Such a cute little box. I always have a long thread tail to cut off when I thread my machine and felt it was such a waste to throw away perfectly good 12” of thread. I will make a little box to put long thread in by my sewing machine, then I can use that for hand sewing at another time.

Couldn’t you use plastic template material or the Dollar Tree clear cutting mats instead of the cardboard, then it would hold up better if it got wet or damp?

You might want to stiffen the sides more - soft and stable will stand up or a heavy weight interfacing cut 1/2 inch smaller so that you can stitch it like that.
