Mine was trying to hard, and it stopped being fun. When I finally said I don't care , I'm just going to have fun, my game went to another level.

Thank you Dr.Goldberg. Although I am not from the sports field, but am in academia, where there is a lot of competitiveness in test scores. As a victim of choking under pressure ,this advice is truly life changing

Thanks, Doc. Bowling for the past 15 years and just really hitting the wall over the last few weeks. Got to get out of time traveler mindset.

I put in some serious practice last week, about 30 or so games. This video definitely helped. Stripped my game all the way down to the basics and just reapplied all the things I’ve learned over the years. Shot 222, 277, 237 set yesterday afternoon. Don’t beat yourself up too bad (or punch a wall and end up with a swollen index finger knuckle on your bowling hand). Turns out my feet were too fast, go figure. Good luck!

@@omjup7972 that's the plan this week bro. I didn't shoot well at all this past weekend, but my teams swept in wins GO FIGURE lol. I'm going to break everything down to the basics starting today, something is definitely off I can feel it. Gonna start with my stance, then push away, crossover, back swing, power step, down swing, hand position, follow through, and then balance at the line. It's been a month of struggling, I remember the day because the bowling center cut the AC off the night before and living in Texas where it's humid we felt it. It was like trying to bowl on a basketball court. It was like that two weeks in a row and I think I developed some BAD habits trying to adjust to it. I HAVE to get it corrected by this weekend since I'm bowling a Regional

That’s crazy, same thing happened to me regarding the a/c situation. I bought the Black Widow 2.0 and joined a league in a new house, between the a/c being inconsistent in the new house, and adjusting to the new ball, I got myself all out of whack. Switched back to my previous ball and that has helped with familiarity. Good luck this weekend, keep us posted. Like Doc says, stay in the now!

3:50 - How a slump gets started and reinforced. Perceived solution: focus on swift positioning and the ball, stop thinking.
