I think it's important to point out that the milestone of becoming a millionaire has become very diluted. In today's economy, being a millionaire is almost synonymous with simply being a homeowner. At least in Canada where I'm from, the average home in Toronto or Vancouver is already one million. As we continue to print endless paper money, the value of our dollar and what it means to be a millionaire will continue to degrade. The lesson to be learned is that we should be focusing on real tangible wealth. Buy gold and silver, start collecting something valuable, and invest in real estate. This advice goes for anyone regardless of your education.
@BAIGAMING3 жыл бұрын
Very true! In fact my family and I would hear the "If I had a million dollars song" on the radio, and we'd all laugh because of how old and out of touch the song is compared to inflation. Within just 10 years a 200k house turned into a 1.1M house, and if my parents were to sell their house they'd probably get double that because of bidding wars after the pandemic. 🙄
@i9incher2 жыл бұрын
That's only in major cities. Here in the midwest making 300k is equivalent to making millions even in the cities. (Besides Chicago maybe).

being a millionaire is very achievable in australia for the same reasons, if u save up and buy a home (at least when I got into the land/house market pre covid) then ur in the millionaire bracket now, however being a millionaire isnt just sit back and relax now, its pretty much just middle class now in Australia

What this does not account is the proportionality of grads. That most grads are overwhelmingly business majors, hence the probably of grads being a millionaire is higher. Most business majors will be selling insurance or bank telling. Engineers is the true winner degree.

History is lowkey the best Liberal Arts degree. The soft skills you acquire *(analytical & critical thinking, research, attention to detail, writing, persuasion, etc.)* will benefit you greatly once you find a profession like Accounting or Law, as well as many other occupations.
@AminTheDream13 жыл бұрын
@ULISES Not true. Most people who major in History know for sure that they will be working in a field not related to their bachelor's degree. They usually obtain a career a few years after graduating, whether it's Accounting, Law, Journalism, Higher Education, etc. A History major is more of a stepping stone to bigger things in the future.
@AminTheDream13 жыл бұрын
@ULISES Because you are learning how to think, analyze, and utilize data while trying to persuade the people around you to agree with your viewpoints. That's what higher level History class will teach you. These are soft skills needed in every day life, especially in the business world if you truly want to prosper. I agree that you will eventually need the "hard skillset", but you can learn that skillset anytime you wanted to. You can learn coding online or at a bootcamp. It's all about your ambitions. I think that engineering, computer science and business will never out beat health related professions because health related professions are starting to have a massive incline in the different Treatments like CRISPER. Edge cutting information can literally alter the genome and cure millions of diseases before they come about. Especially since we’re in a pandemic. Even after most of my Computer science friends say that the degree it self is useless. If you want to get straight to the point do a coding camp boot strap. It’s cheaper, straight forward and more content. In fact places are changing the requirements for computer scientists, it’s not required for them to have a degree. Similar to business related majors, you rarely need to have a degree to understand investments. People are starting to invest in to crypto currencies and start their business. Though a heath related degree will never lose certification.

Artists usually do not need to practice making a painting a day until they get good at it. Whatever they do that day, usually it has a little "je ne sais quoi" that make it beautiful.

I’m 19 and I’m studying law in Argentina , a country with a lot of political issues , lot of young people wanting to leave the country everyones tell you that you’re studying law and you’ll be stuck in the country. Also I’m not having a good time in college AKA im not enjoying the career .I’m also interested in finance , economy and business and I’ve though in combining law with that. Also a friend told me that I could try to apply in a foreign college to escape from my country. I’m working class , Latin American and relatively capable to learn fast. Someone can advice me in what to do? I’m kinda lost.

My dad is from Mendoza, he did some college for marketing when he was still living in Argentina 🇦🇷 but his college isn’t accredited here, I’d start by earning a degree that can qualify you over in the states. I’d say accounting is a great one. Good luck
