Yeah, and doesn't the term "Power" make your stomach turn? Power??!! How can a servant have power over its pay master? The only power most politicians want is the power to siphon money from the state...I mean just look how some of the ministers are grabbing and fighting like a pack of hungry dogs for a position...politicians go to work for themselves, who on earth would wake up in the morning to go out and toil for someone else's betterment?? That's absurd!!! The ANC Certainly doesn't make a convincing BS story that they are here for the people's that's for sure!!!

Agriculture is an immensely important portfolio for all the reasons you have mentioned, but also, importantly, for food security and cheaper, but quality products on the shelves. And, of course, agriculture is the biggest single employer in the country. Someone who has not farmed, has no clue of the immense difficulties and stresses farmers have to face, such as your annual crop being destroyed by just one hail storm. Furthermore, these days you just cannot compete as a farmer if you are not educated and apply advanced farming equipment and practices. Farming is not for sissies. Our farmers are the backbone of this country and it's about time they get the acknowledgement and support they deserve.

It includes retail, restaurants, communications, insurance etc
@wouterswanepoel57533 ай бұрын
@@bafanamahlatse1923 Of course Government is the single largest employer, but we're talking here about all sectors that will fall under the Agriculture Ministry. And that is bigger than the personnel corps of any other ministry, because all of the service sectors are NOT clumped under one ministry. It is anyway a scandal that the civil service is as big as it is, but then again, the more civil servants, the more votes for the ANC.

The real problem is that government is the single largest employer! The entire beaurocracy should never exceed 15% of the population for the country to remain economically feasible. I'm not sure what they collected over the last few years but how much less would it have practically been? So that being said, the reason we have no army is due to lack of funds, and yrs the military in this country is abismal, due to no money, yet SARS (probably the most efficient gov. Dept in the land) has been feverishly collecting our money every year!!!! Ok, so who's head needs to roll here??? Where's our fucking money??!! If this circus of a government claims to be so fantastic let's see them put their money where their mouth's are and start making some sizable arrests. I say, we hold them to task to perform better, and only after a significant result, we start slowly deciding whether or not we trust them or if the "Ganu" GNU was such a great idea...
