unfortunately, this epidode will not end well for Renaldo, It is going to overshadow all the good he has done as a ward councillor. Even though I dont condone the language used, I do understand the sentiment and frustration he may have felt in that moment, I'm not in a place to place judgement upon him. We are all fallible human beings, we say and do things which we may regret and which may come back to bite us in the posterior in the future, we were all impulsive and acted like real ignoramuses when younger but with age comes wisdom (well I hope so...). As a fellow human all I can do is acknowledge Renaldo's appology, forgive him and hope and pray that he learns from this very expensive and very decisive lesson which may impact his life in very distinct way. Hope he comes out the otherside the better for it. Will continue to follow his antics whether he continues or not.

I have more of an issue with how the media have reported on it all. In both the IOL and N24 article, nowhere do they mention that he was saying it as an example of proving his point of hypocrisy around "Kill the Boer". Guys, sorry but I'm 100% against Gouws on this one. Examole, I can't go and steal something just to prove a point and then expect to get away with it because it was for "a good cause". Of course two wrongs don't make a right, and I agree wholeheartedly that Gouws should bear the consequences , however unfair it may seem all these years later. Then again, I have never ever used racist and vulgar language like that and I grew up in the height of apartheid. For me, the use of such language no matter the context shows a complete lack of "breeding". This being said, I do believe that it is a clear case of rules for some and not for others. And what some politicians and other get away with is appalling. I am totally offended and demanded when I get comments such "you whites","white people", "white cockroach" and the like.
