I’ve heard Goldschmidt, Alonso, Walker and Santana mentioned at possible 1st base options. They all have their own concerns. BUT 3/4 of them will definitely require multi year deals, even if it’s 2 years. Since it’d a short term answer NY is looking for, I’d prefer Santana. Yes he’s the oldest of the 4. But he’s a switch hitter. Just won the gold glove. I feel with him, you can get him on a 2 year deal for much cheaper than the others. And wouldn’t require trading anything for him. He’s older than Goldschmidt but doesn’t look to be slowing down as much as Paul does. If he’s a 240 hitter. 340 obp 20-25 HRs. 70-85 rbi and plays a gold glove 1st base I’d take that. DEFINITELY over signing Walker to any deal over 2 years or trading anything for Goldschmidt. Bc Santana is 39 2 years is likely max he gets offered. Maybe with option for year 3 if he reached certain ABs/games played. Just my opinion. But to get a 1st baseman that gives both top defense and still offensive threat for the cost it’d take them tk get any of the other 3, it’s the best choice. It’ll be cheaper (both in $ and possibly trade pieces) it won’t be long deal due to his age. And even if they have to pay little more per year, the switch hitting , 20+ HRs and gold Glove defense makes Santana the CLEAR choice for first.

Soto at 1st, Judge at right, Dominguez in center, sign someone good for left, 2nd, or 3rd, Jazz plays either 2nd or left, depending on who they sign, and then fill in the other spot, either 2nd or 3rd internally. They have a lot of potential good options with Cabrera being good if nobody else winds up being better. Spencer Jones is expected to come up this year. Hopefully he'll take control of left field. We shouldn't count on that, but hopefully. Trade Stroman to a team that needs to fill innings in return for 2 solid AAA starter prospects if possible. It's probably not possible though.
