LOVE your system. As a single working mom, I batch cooked on weekends and froze things. It was cheap and easier. A few years ago, my husband and I went Whole Food Plant Based and found better health. Initially, I did it for finances. I lost 40# easily. I cooked large batches in a few pressure cookers and a rice cooker, froze and packaged it so husband could take lunch to work. His doctors actually credit arrested cancer growth to plant based eating. Stress eating had me gain back the weight from eating junk and rationalizing a bag of chips or vegan fast food was fine and dandy. Your system works, it creates ease by simply opening a freezer to our own pre-made/packaged foods, and it is economical. Thanks for sharing what works for you. Luckily, my husband and I don't mind simple foods. Do what works!

Little tip, from working at a daycare in a nursery (color coding labeling bottles ) electrical tape will not come off in water or washing, electric tape is so durable works better than the painters tape and holds sharpie for monthsss. 💚

I so wish I could have heard this 40 years ago when I started teaching. Teaching is also a very physically demanding job. I rarely took lunch instead I bought it at school. I did take snacks, usually string cheese. But your system sounds so good!

Thanks for watching Karen. You know, I was in the same boat, on the road cleaning houses and it found it easy to go through the drive-through and grab a quick something. Turns out that fast food does not inspire me. It's average at best. It's often lifeless, and I am cheap. So, it would be me buying stuff off the dollar menu and then wondering why I felt blah all day. LOL. This system gives me "tote" food (stuff I can throw in a cooler in my car that will last all day without refrigeration.) and go. :-)

@@AskAngelaBrown I agree. Sometimes they had oranges and bananas in the teachers work took. They tasted so good and were portable. I just thought taking protein in the form of string cheese would be so much better for me.

I grew up on a farm also and husband and I usually have a vegetable garden every year summer/winter both. Definitely will get your smoothie recipe. Thank you for sharing all of this. Years ago I decided never to eat from a 10” dinner plate again. Our stomachs are roughly the size of our fist…so I use a salad plate or saucer. Lost 47lbs. I’m 5’2” 112lbs and haven’t gained anything back. Great ideas!!!!!

So I started for an agency 2 years ago. I worked so hard and put so much pride in my work and basically got treat like rubbish. We, the £9 an hour cleaners held that company afloat whilst the boss attended not once during the pandemic then sold up after. Anyway long story short my favourite oap customer ended up with covid then never got better as had underlying issues being old and all. The agency was still charging her whilst she was in icu. That was my turning point-she passed away and I had so much ‘ill will’ (got that from you!) for the agency and most the senior staff. I set up on my own in November-I’m a single mum to 4 kids! I basically walked away from my regular income cos of this I’ll will. I was told ‘it’s lovely being close to customers but it’s not professional’ I was like ‘but charging an 85 year old when they’re in hospital dying? That is professional!?’ Anyway I lost my favourite customer it hit me hard as her granddaughter gave her the covid and I had so many mixed emotions as she had sheltered and I still cleaned and she never got it... a whole different story... Anyway 3 months later I’m fully booked, took on my first cleaner as I’m getting so busy-my shoulders are already tired so thinking of hiring a couple helping hands. Today I got my 26th 5 star google review too which I’m super proud of! Your videos have helped me like a million percent in the past few weeks of me watching them! Today watching your ‘what to do if someone hits on you’ vid. I was screaming laughing. Pepper spray is illegal in my county so that particularly tickled me. But the roses scenario ‘I’ll leave them here for you to enjoy!’ I was in hysterics... I was cleaning with my AirPods in listening to you! My customers must’ve thought I... realised I was crazy !!!! 🤓🥰

To me I come from a family that loves food authentic recipes all the way to fast food. Right now I’m on a cleanse that involves me eating large meals. I like how reliable Angela is. I watch all these influencer who know plenty about nutrition but I immediately clicked on cause I knew she had something different to bring to the table. I may try this cause I’m tired of relying on coffee and crashing after each meal. Thank you

This is SOOOOOO on point!!!! It's really simple and people get discouraged because they have been given this idea that folks who are healthy eat in this extravagant way. NO! LOL We eat for comfort and fuel. The biggest thing for people to overcome is their reliance upon serotonin hits that they have only ever experienced from their indulgence of certain foods. If they were to try different ways of getting that serotonin they would actually find that they only ever think of food when they become uncomfortable from lack of sugar, etc. They'll then learn to eat in a proactive manner, simply to avoid the discomfort of genuine hunger pangs. I know this from personal experience with my own diet habits. This has been the best method I've found for satisfying my need of food on a healthy level. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Super refreshing to hear true experience and true results instead of pushing a trend that may earn you more views. 😄

My partner and I LOVE to make food from scratch and we'd both probably spend all day every day in the kitchen if we could. However, the world is not set up for that, and I'm often frustrated at how little time I have to make meals and to prep for the next day. I think this system is really good, it will help to keep some grab-and-go snacks and little meals ready for the times we can't cook for our future selves. Thanks again, Angela!

So awesome of you to share your system! I eat in a very similar way, but I just learned soooo much more watching you! I eat fresh and mostly whole food plant based, but I never thought to freeze portions. I do bake several sweet potatoes and regular potatoes and bring one with me and eat at room temp. I try to cook once per week. I try to eat by myself at work because I don't think my coworkers would get it the way I eat. Not eating meat throws everyone off already, eat a cold sweet potato in front of them and they will really think I have gone crazy! LOL. Finally, thanks for the tip on avocados, didn't know they could be frozen!

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, you're correct - I'm a healthier, happier person when I eat right. I don't know why but my digestive system is sensitive. I have lots of allergies and if I eat heavy carbs I'm in a food coma within 15 minutes after the meal and sleeping like a baby. My days need my body and brain functioning at max capacity and I find the whole foods does it for me. :-)

Hi Heather, my husband is down 100lbs and has kept it off now for several years using this method. The food is not fancy, but it's healthy, and you adjust to it. It does take about 3 weeks to get the carbs, and sugar cravings out of your system, and then your energy skyrockets, you don't have the mid day crashes and that feeling of constant fatigue lifts like a cloud and gets blown away. Keep me posted and let me know how it works for you. I've never been happier. NOTE: We do go out once a week and eat a meal where anything goes. Just so if we feel we need a treat, or pasta or whatever we give ourselves permission. We've also been doing this for many years. That said, I still eat pretty much the same things as at home - maybe splurge on something like fries or potato salad, but I have not needed or wanted any sweets in months.

S Tier meal preparer. Respect. I also meal prep, weekly. I eat two big meals per day. Oatmeal for breakfast and a quesadilla for lunch. I log every calorie, I get all nutrients and macros. Small meals did not work me, but that’s okay. Whatever is sustainable in the long run wins.

You're welcome. The smoothie trick I love because my water bottle holds 16 ounces. If I take 4 x swigs during the day of roughly 4 oz each it's the equivalent of 4 small meals of health during the job. Keeps my energy up and healthy long-lasting fuel funneling through my body and brain.

The secret is to give up preservatives. If it comes in a box or a bag cut it out of your diet. That is a great place to start. Lots of the prepackaged foods we buy don't have the fiber, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals or nutrients our bodies actually need.

I know you're kind of undermining your choices/the simplicity of it- but it really is a big deal, important to talk about and raise awareness of. For example, I wouldn't have thought to cook the yams in a crock pot, to do that with the squash, or to rice up the cauliflower, even though I eat all those things in general. After watching your video, I could see myself eating all those things by themselves though, throughout the day and feeling satisfied. It's easy to get overwhelmed and not know where to start- or to even over-complicate eating healthy so much that it becomes hard to think simply/organize a routine and envision the follow-through (give up!). My partner is diabetic and is doing good with her meals/is controlling her diabetes and losing weight, but I don't like any of those foods (coconut flour, substitute sugars, etc.) I've been trying to figure out how to do "food" with my busy schedule/intermittent breaks throughout the day, without artificial sugars/increase nutritional content/eat appropr. calories, etc. I'm going to try this system for myself, and am so excited about it. Thank you so much for sharing (and I know you think it's simple, but I wouldn't mind hearing about other food that you put in the containers/in each category/what freezes well, etc.)... tbh, I have ADHD and a lot of the times, I just get overwhelmed, so your information is really helping me.

Items that are already cooked and portioned for two, that I can reheat and move on with my day - hubs and I both work from home these days) I've been buying regular food, fruits and vegetables, and doing like you - processing it and freezing it in smaller containers. I used to pack fresh fruits and veggies, nuts, plain yogurt, and my lunches were very simple. I was thinking how did I keep up with all the running around, still came home to kids, cook, and clean. I’m going back to my eating habits. That also helped maintain my body Weight and energy.

My lunch is raw veggies and fruit as well but I need to add protein so I add 2 boiled eggs which I make at the beginning of the week. I also add a smoothies with blue berries banana and protein powder. I also add avocado and Spinach. For me I need protein to feel full longer . Thanks for your tips.

I don't enjoy cooking either. And I love easy and quick as I tend to forget about eating until I'm HANGRY. I also am not a fan of cooking meat, so your system is so awesome to me! I'll just keep my spices and add them when I eat the stuff. This systeme is a good way to keep things where both spicy (me) and non-spicy lovers can eat together easily. Thank you so much for all the information and great ideas! I'm not a house cleaner by trade, but I was previously a dental hygienist (so a different kind of cleaner :) I like to say) and I love your channel and videos! Thank you again for sharing such great ideas and an awesome system! I'm defintely going to try this. I'm pretty sure it'll be a keeper. :) Have a great and happy 2022! :)

So this is the video I truly enjoyed! Good for you you were able to find a system that works for you! I love cooking but I get tired easily. So I usually cook once a week a big meal and eat it the whole week. Some people say they need more diversity but it works for me 👍 I don't mean to be intrusive and I apologize for making a comment about your diet. Please don't forget about other foods. The variety is important because of the vitamins and such (like B12). I am sure you know all this. I am just saying this for 0.0000001% possibility that you don't 😉 Also thank you for the smoothie recipe! I will definitely try it! 🌟

It's true. If you want more, you can always heat up more, but it's usually too much of a hassle once you're half way through a meal. And the cool thing about the little meals is it tricks you into thinking you have eaten a real meal - so you feel satisfied, get some nourishment and then you are not so full you can't move around or you fall into a food coma.
