Hey Neal, I wanted to say thank you for all your videos. To make a long story short I resonated with your videos about a year ago when I felt a lack of stability in my hip, as well as a twisting sensation in my body. I’m working with a board certified physical therapist who specializes in PRI, he has done what no other doctor could do which is assess and diagnose my problem which you may find interesting. While most like you say are left AIC/Right BC I have fallen into a non intact left lateralized pattern - where my pelvis is twisted left with right rib cage compression. In just one session he blew my mind by testing my numbers (ROM) before and after giving me orthotics and “heel sense.” I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks for being apart of my journey.

Slowly making my way through your videos. I find your content fascinating.
Really interesting vids. Always wondered why I had a flaring left rib and always have to spend time getting my breathing+bracing symmetrical in the gym

BINGO!!! Just had Eureka moment. It all makes sense now. Will be booking a PRI appointment in the UK for myself and my daughter. Histamine/POTS issues are wild for us. Thank you for helping me put some rogue pieces together. BTW I did think you meant barefoot grounding. Thanks for clarifying.

Can't this be corrected with muscle training?

Something funny I noticed: If you wear glasses and let them slide down at all, my head has to move forward to see through them.

I got a chronic back pian on my right lower back over a decade tried different approach to solve it but failed. I found when I put a high arch insole on my left foot shoe once my back pain just gone 90% immediately. I am really interested about the reason. But it's hard to find a credible pri pt in my country.

Hey doc, thank you for the videos, can you please help with an advice? So I apparetnly have left AIC pattern. However my left leg is longer than my right leg. My muscles on the left side (errector spinae and left abs muscles) and on the left leg are much much tighter than on the right side. My belly button rotates to the left a lot, especially when i bend over or do cats-dogs stretch, it is painful to look at it. I have developed it when I was working out a lot last year. I feel so terribly bad because I am scared of working out now as it can get worse. Will the exercises that you suggest help? I appreciate any feedback, thank you very much

I can't guarantee anything, but you could try the two legged 90-90 version. Just go slowly and if it hurts, don't do it. pritrainer.com/pri-left-aic-right-bc-beginner-example-program/

Hi Neil, i was thinking about neck and temporal left muscle. Wouls that mean that we should have stronger left temporal muscle compared with the right one?
@NealHallinan5 жыл бұрын
Good question. It depends on the relative position of the temporal bone. I think it also depends on whether you are talking about the anterior or posterior portion of the temporalis muscle. Someone who has internally rotated temporal bones (often found on right torsion/cranial strain/forward head type individuals) often have overactive anterior temporalis muscles due to cranium protrusion and mandibular retrusion (head goes forward, jaw moves back). This puts the anterior temporalis in a shortened/leveraged position so they stay overactive. My thought is that an an externally rotated temporal bone will result in an overactive posterior portion of temporalis muscle and an internally rotated temporal bone will result in the anterior portion being overactive. Don't quote me on that. I could be mistaken.

Neal, is it wrong to exercise right bc, right tmcc, standing cervical cranial repositioning , before correcting the pelvis? I have a lot of tension temporal bones...
@NealHallinan5 жыл бұрын
No, it's not wrong. Some people can't correct their pelvis without unlocking their temporal bones first. Strong neck/cranium patterns can often prevent the ribcage and pelvis from staying neutral.

Been finding a lot of your life philosophies in common with mine, but clothing too? lol. One of my favorite shirts, just wore it the other day "Never Give Up" "Never Back Down". Kohl's right.

Yes, I think it was Kohl's!

Is there a real test where I can see if one leg is longer than the other? I think my right one is a bit longer.

Am i starting to walk and breathe properly once again? Are all these feeling normal? R arch aches a lot. L glute R hip and slight L adductor being worked and felt an expansion in my L back ribcage. R lowerback/fromt feeling fatigue after long walks
@NealHallinan5 жыл бұрын
Perhaps. It's hard for me to understand what you are describing. But left glute, left adductor and right glute/glute medius are all good to feel, as is posterior ribcage expansion.

I am little bit confused Mister Hallinan, in this video you said that for feeling the left heel we need pronation, for example I in Left Aic pattern and I have high arches in both side, in 90/90 hip shift exercise I need pronate my left foot for feeling left heel and put something between my left foot and shoes for feeling pronation?
@NealHallinan5 жыл бұрын
As long as your left foot is flat on a wall, it should be pronated. However, if your arches are too high, your brain may not "sense" or "perceive" pronation occuring. In that case you may need to add a folded up paper towel between your foot and your sneaker to bring the ground "up" to your arch.

This should be the future of physical therapy, I think PT still too behind since they totally overlook sensory inputs, only one question, when you refer to left stance do you mean heel strike or mid stance? or where does the rib cage should point at left heel strike?
@NealHallinan3 жыл бұрын
Mid-stance but you are generally bringing sensory awareness to your left heel during any PRI technique. Some techniques are training more "heel strike" some more "mid-stance". Regardless, the emphasis is on the left heel.

Neal, can you explain what you mean by frontal plane stability and strength? I think I understand, but to be clear, do you mean having a feeling of the quads, or what other muscles are involved?
